We came in later in the day, a bit of a gamble, but they had an alfredo pizza (yay! since I don't eat much red sauce anymore), sausage, regular cheese and pepperoni slices available. This family business, started by Pops some 40 years ago, was a long time anchor for the skyway food court and recently relocated to a street level, street entrance, pizzeria. Plenty of seating inside and outdoor patio too. They sell whole pizzas, and specialize in the one slice or two slice lunch specials. Tried this place after the gigantic protest and it was excellent! They were so swamped at the time they were only serving cheese or pepperoni slices but no complaints it was EXCELLENT! I definitely want to go back and try their other options but I was in disbelief of their NY style slices! I want to go back and still craving. Good pizza!! Almost felt like i was back at home and in NYC. As a person from the gritty streets of the bronx i can definitely vouch for them. This has been the closest thing to a nyc slice i've had in a while here in MN. I must say that this place is a pain in the a$$ to get to. I walked literally 20 mins trying to find the place..i would give 4 stars but the pizza was too good. And they're quick with it, got my slices hot and ready in like 3 mins or less. This was my first time trying out Pinos. My coworker and I decided to get their combo, 2 slices and a drink. We decided on the combo because she doesn't drink soda and just wanted water. So, we assumed that both slices would be the same size and water was free. That was not the case. Her slice was way big and my slice was way small. I had to eat a snack a few hours later. The pizza was not very good either. After my coworker paid, we grabbed two cups. 1 for water and 1 for my soda. The owner(I assume) told me that we only paid for 1 drink but he would let me "slide." I was confused because water is always free? I then proceeded to tell him that we only have 1 soda and the other was just water. He repeated himself and said he's letting me "slide" this one time. The customer service ruined it for me. As I walked by Pinos again, I saw the same guy picking a piece of sausage from where the pizzas are and ate it. I would suggest that Pinos refrain from rude comments like this and try not to eat potential customer's food. read more

A shop in the St Paul Skyway with amazing pizza, great prices and smiling service. My husband eats there a few times a week and especially enjoys the sausage and chicken Alfredo. He's a pizza fanatic and this place is at the top of his list. I like the thin but soft crust and thought the owner and his son were charming and made for a memorable experience. read more

This place pleased me greatly. The crust got a little overwhelmed by the toppings but I didn't even care it was so tasty. They have parmesan and garlic and crushed red pepper and oregano on the side. The 2 slices and a soda special is now $7. Slices were huge! Worth checking out if you're in the skyway. read more

The best New York style pizza in the cities. Pino and his gang are friendly, gregarious and have a way with their pies. The crust is crunchy and thin; it has a charcoal like flavor from their high oven heat. The sauce is not too heavy and has excellent flavor. Their sausage has a spicy kick. They also make a tomato spinach pizza, as well as mushroom and pepperoni. For $5 you get two huge, foldable slices with a soda! Pinos is in the Norwest Crossing in the St. Paul skyway system and is worth stopping by whenever you're downtown. read more

Pinos is a good option for pizza by the slice for lunch. I paid $3.50 for a pepperoni and mushroom slice today. Frequent toppings that I've seen are: cheese, pepperoni, pepperoni and mushroom, buffalo chicken, sausage, and vegetarian with spinach and tomato. The employees are friendly and always upbeat. The pizza is hot and freshly made. I've waited for it to come out of the oven a few times! The pizza portions are generous. The service is fast. The pizza is a little greasy for me, so I blot it with the napkins available. Once I do that, I'm in pizza heaven. Pino's is the best deal going in the st. Paul skyway. Not a place for business lunch (its in a food court) but great for a quick bite. Employees are very nice, pizza is hot, cut big, and delicious. Two slices and a drink for $5.50 beats a $5 footlong any day. Don't let the five stars fool you into expecting the best pizza ever. Okay, we weren't expecting this place to be in a food court. Putting that little surprise aside, the pizza was delicious, and the meal deal was cheaply priced. The owner of the shop was a character with a thick Italian accent. Loved it. I just wish they actually stayed open longer than 2 pm. We got there when there was only one salad left and 4 pieces of pizza. We took what was left and they pulled down the bars while we ate in the common area.
