I figured there would be instruction and tips and an open forum for questions. And I believe there was all of that, however, nothing that I could actually hear. The woman instructing was very sweet and friendly and put in a bad situation where the room that she reserved was not available or some failing occurred. Everyone should have been given the choice to re-schedule as no one at our table could hear anything. We were asked often if we could hear and every time I shook my head indicating I could not hear but yet she still spent all her time at the other table with a few attempts to come closer to our table when a question/answer session started. It became SO frustrating not being able to hear that I tuned out hoping we'd get home in Time for the sitter, wishing I could just get the supplies and finish in my comfortable, quiet home with no equines within 6 feet of me. NOT the relaxing, enjoyable, therapeutic experience we were hoping for and next time we will spend the 11$ (the fee ON TOP of Groupon pricing you will get charged) on a similar planted/Halloween plant at Michaels Regarding the woman that tried to teach this class I feel bad for her as she may not know how to handle these unexpected situations and may be limited in what she can offer but this was unacceptable.... We were forced to be a bigger part of the bar experience then we would have liked. We got there about 8 minutes late and she checked our names but other people at the table were musing how anyone could have taken their seat as their Groupon was never checked...and we were in the middle of a bar. The people at my table were complaining about the 11$ fee on top of the Groupon fee... young professionals feeling like they got ripped off isn't a way to inspire repeat business... IF THERES A FEE include it in a higher Groupon price so people don't go into it feeling ripped off or leaving feeling even worse when the experience was a failure. I had forgotten that fee but the young professionals had not. Skip the plant nite... even if everything has been as it should have been I believe this group on Would have been a failure either way and I would never recommend or do again... the conservatory has free workshops all the time and often you take things home with you... all for less (admission is 4$) then the "additional fee" with this company

It allows you to check out a place you might otherwise have never visited which makes it super easy to surprise someone. Guys, make the reservations online and take your lady out to dinner or for drinks and surprise her when the painting party starts! Our facilitator was Rachel and she was awesome. She dumbed it down enough that even I felt like I was doing okay! The fact that they visit different places to hold the parties is probably the reason why there are so few reviews here but the night I went if we had all reviewed there would be twenty more 5 star reviews on here. We all had a good time and it was fun meeting new people and going outside my comfort zone to do something new. Will definitely do this again!

I've now done five classes and I'm so excited about his new space in Walnut Hills, which will provide options for all sorts of events. His creativity and imagination is endless and his students benefit as a result. Like the name says, this is not your average paint-n-sip. The drinks are flowing and it's a full bar with beer, wine, and liquor, as well as n/a options. You get guidance from a theme and inspiration photos and images, but you ultimately decide what you're going to paint. Some people choose to recreate an existing piece but many go wild, like I do. The Pendleton Art Center space was brilliant and eclectic and full of color and inspiration. I have high hopes that the Walnut Hills space will be the same and I'll be one of the first ones there. James is a delight. He's supportive and encouraging but absolutely no-nonsense. He will give guidance when requested, or gentle nudges when things go awry (or you're taking too long lol). He's an excellent teacher, an outstanding entertainer, and you feel like you're best friends by the end of the class. Do yourself a favor. Whether it's a date, girls' night out, or you can fill the whole space, book a class with @NYAPSC_OTR.

There are a LOT of things to paint, from kitschy to practical! The color choices are immense! There are paints that don't require any thinking at all as well as paints for detailed work!! Some pieces are pricey and there is a sitting fee to consider but if you don't finish a piece, you are able to come back as many times as you need to finish it with just the one-time sitting fee for that piece. I love this so much and enjoy getting away and spending time with friends!!!

My daughter attended a kids art class a few months ago and is dying to go back. The owner is the kindest human I've ever met. Such a gem. He took so much extra time to show us around the store, answer our questions and just tell us about the background of everything. They have fun events and camps during the summer as well. OH and there's a bar too!! What doesn't this place have??

This was our first time at AR workshop and unfortunately we won't be returning to the Mason…read morelocation. It was a family outing on Black Friday. We arrived at 12:50 since our class time was 1 pm. Upon arrival there was nobody at the front desk to check is in, which is fine since there were several young girls setting up tables. However, after 10 minutes someone should of have come over and talked with us. We waited another 10 minutes (after 1 pm), when someone came to us and informed us that they were having trouble printing some of the graphics. We finally set down at a table against the wall that had remnant works on the floor next with exposed nails. Keep in mind we had two kids with us, you'd think the space around your work table should be safe. By this time the other 5 tables had started working on their projects and we were still waiting. It is now 1:25. We felt like people kept looking at us since we were just sitting there. On top of it, we were the only group of color and definitely were feeling like we were being treated differently. I am sure the other tables that day could attest to that. I didn't want to make a scene with the kids in our group so I didn't say anything but upon reflecting I should have. The projects were fine. The kids made a tray and wooden storage box...the kids wood pieces should have been sanded down a little more before they were given to us. It was not possible to sand them down with the tools that were provided. We also were never told about aprons until we asked for them. I made tea towels, utensil box...the cut out for the tea towels was missing letters. My cousin made a doormat and my sister made a pillowcase. I'm just surprised that the cutouts and workshop are not ready prior to the day of the event. We were almost late to a dinner reservation because we got out of AR so late. Looking back, I think a mere apology is not sufficient. So many things were not right....starting over 30 minutes late, unsafe work bench, unsafe wood pieces for kids, cutouts with missing letters, and honestly feeling ignored during most of the workshop. I guess they are not interested in our business and I will happily take it elsewhere.

I attended the Valentine's Wheel Throwing Couples Special back in February 2020. Who knew this…read morewould be one of the last fun events for me, prior to Covid and without the masks and physical distancing! Now, it's a much cherished memory! Bonnie, who is the Charming Owner, prepared a truly amazing evening for us. It was only 4 couples, so we got a lot of attention from Two Experienced Instructors. My husband and I did try working with the rolled-out clay before, but we wanted to try the wheel throwing and that was exactly what this evening was about! And it is true what everyone says: it is very very difficult, even though it looks simple at a first glance. With some much needed help, we were able to take a few cups and dishes home. The atmosphere was lovely. There was a table with delicious snacks (cheese plate and crackers, dips, and lovely sweets, including chocolate covered strawberries!) for us and complimentary wine and bubbles. That surely boosted my confidence, as neither me, nor my husband had any clue about the wheel throwing and centering :) The Instructors were very patient, if it wasn't for them, I wouldn't be able to do anything, as it turned out I was hopeless with the wheel. It was a fun, hands-on night in a relaxing atmosphere, with music and wine. No prior experience was needed. The clay is unlimited, but you will not leave with your piece in hand, as it needs some drying, curing and baking. We left our pieces for glazing (they had a choice of several colors) and baking. They were ready for pick after several days. The clay is wet and messy, so don't come dressed up, it's a more casual feel. I am really interested in the many events Bonnie is organizing. The Cocktails and Clay series is very popular and sells out fast. Each time there is a different piece, so you can come multiple times. They also offer a more classic technique-forward course and many classes for kiddos! Throughout the pandemic, Bonnie had some awesome events, where you could pick a ready dish for painting at home etc. I am so looking forward to coming back at some point! There is nothing more relaxing than making your hands busy & dirty, and train your creative muscles, while forgetting the daily worries. Very relaxing and fun!

This is a fantastic new art education and entertainment studio! I went recently with some friends…read moreto a paint & sip class and we had a blast. It is located in the Montgomery area in a cute shopping square with parking right outside. I.C.I. stands for Imagine Create Inspire. The studio has a cool and fun vibe. The owner, Jackie, is a great artist and instructor. The music while we painted was great and the painting we did was awesome. I have been to other studios, but at this studio we actually used a palette and I learned some things about painting. We're already talking about going back to I.C.I. to have a birthday party! I also know someone whose daughter took a kids class there and loved it.

There are definitely a few pieces worth looking at but many felt like they were done by high school students. Art is definitely subjective and there is a wide range of skill/mediums.
