It's always a good time at Pinot's Palette! The artists and bartenders (who are also artists) are fun and always willing to help. They give instruction in ways that are easy to understand and replicate. They stress that painting is fun and not to take it too seriously. At the same time, they understand if folks are nervous about putting brush to canvas, and are very encouraging and urge everyone to make their paintings their own. That said, I'm definitely an amateur, but have produced some pretty neat paintings. You will surprise yourself! And somehow, the paintings always look better after you take them home, so don't get caught up in comparing yours to others' cuz yours is awesome too! :) While they do have light food (flatbreads, etc) and alcohol (wine, cocktails) available as additional costs, you don't have to eat/drink to paint. But it's a kind gesture to tip your artist (and bartender if you partake) ! They offer a $10 discount on your next regular class if you book it during your session. read more

Arrive a few min before to get your drink, I got a Moscow mule but they also have specialty drinks to go with the art theme. The experience itself was step by step and really clear and easy to follow, which was great because I have no painting experience at all! My husband and I had a great time trying to recreate the painting, but they also encourage artistic freedom if you want to use different colors/style to make your picture your own. It's such a fun and interactive date night, they also give you a few breaks (for which there is a donut shop right across the street!) They can make someone like myself who can only draw stick figures get in touch with their inner artist. No two canvas paintings are alike and everyone brings their own unique flare to it. I was invited to a paint night during the week and couldn't pass up the opportunity. The class was a packed house, due to the class being a fundraiser. Parents and children were present and it made for a lively evening. I'm not much of an artist but the instructor made it easy to follow along with time for breaks to tweak my painting. I was giving a blank canvas on an easel with an assortment of paint on a paper plate, two sized brushes, and a cup of water. The instructor is up front to the right of the room with an overhead of the finished photo, and she goes step by step, allowing the student to follow her brush strokes. Pinots' Palette offers fundraiser classes, nightly weekly classes, weekend classes, Sunday classes from 12-2 or 3-5, black light parties, as well as cocktails and non-alcoholic drinks served. I just had my first experience here at Pinot's Palette and BOY was it fun!! My friend and I booked a painting class and had the time of our lives. The instructor was an art student, and was very helpful while being entertaining. He played some great music and took song requests which was nice. We were able to see his canvas, and there was also a TV projecting a closer image of his canvas so we could see better. There was a group party in the front of the studio, so our class was in the back room. They have a bar in the middle of the studio with various wines and cocktails. Our room had a window that faced into the bar, so we didn't even have to leave the class to get another round! Each class is a different painting so I can't wait to book another session! Had a girls night out in Livermore and this is where we ended up. See my epic snowman in the review. Lol. Jenn was our instructor and hostess for the event and she was hilarious. If you ever want to do a drop in public class or schedule a private event this place is super cute. The beverages were yummy and the appetizers were on point. The bar moved fast, the instructor kept us on track even tho we tended to straw from her guidance lol. They had Christmas and holiday music playing and it was just a nice and relaxing evening. This is a chain and there are a few other locations but my experience has been at this location a few times given our group is spread across the bay. I really loved this experience. It was a mobile paint night, so it wasn't in the studio. We went to the Big White House winery, needless to say, the scenery was an added bonus. I love Vincent Van Gogh's Starry Night and we painted a Halloween version. The instructor was a great guide and broke things down so they were easy to follow. This was so much fun. I was here with a small birthday group and we had the best time. Plenty of food and drinks to order- we had wine and cider. And our instructor was funny, helpful and very talented. I felt she brought out the best in all of us. It's really helpful to be taught step by step and it encourages success. I did not think I would be able to do a very good job, but by the end I had a painting I'm really proud of! They have different paintings on different nights so make sure to pick the painting that is right for you. They even have blacklight nights when they use paint that glows under back light!!! And they will help you paint you pet- which I am very interested in. They take a picture of your pet and make it into a paint by numbers and then help you match the colors. I can't wait to do that. The space is comfortable and well lit and the materials are awesome. You can upgrade from a canvas to a board canvas made of planks or to a tote bag! I thought both of those were very cool options. I guess the weekends are crowded but our little Monday night group was small which I enjoyed since it was very peaceful- and I really needed to concentrate as I'm not great at paining. But no matter what your ability level it is so much fun and the instructor will make your painting work. It's really an amazing activity. I can't think when I've had more fun. read more

I was overcharged first we had a reservation for Wednesday with the bottle of white is half price they close because they didn't have staff so I extended my stay one night and we went out to Thursday! for my birthday. My son was the one that drank the wood as I don't drink. They charge me $80 for his wine and then told me it would've been cheaper if he would've ordered it by the bottle instead of by the glass, obviously he thought he was ordering it by the bottle since that's what he always does and he is a regular there, not pleased with the extra $80 I was charged. Wonderful service! My friend and I bought tickets before shelter-in-place began and the day we were supposed to go everything had closed. Pinot's didn't give us a refund but it did give us credit to apply for a later date which they honored nearly eight months later. I want to give a shoutout to Nikki and Cynthia who were amazing! Nikki was so sweet in coming around and repeating directions on the next step since I was next to a rambunctious group and at times it was hard to hear. She even followed up afterwards to see how I liked the experience. On a side note, I need Cynthia's energy! She was so festive and made sure everyone's glasses were filled to the brim. She was so kind in attending to my friend and me and was so lively! If you're planning on having a paint day or night, I would highly recommend this location! I am not an artist....at all... I love art, as an admirer. I have never been interested in coming to one of these shops. Well, I was part of a retreat and this was part of it. I came in with five lady friends, and we had an amazing time. Of course, my picture looked nothing like the sample, but I did learn A LOT! Nikki was able to manage our instruction, encourage us and tend bar. They have a great selection of local wineries - I loved the Cabernet from Wood Family Vineyards. This is a great party night. Sure my painting looked like a grossly over exaggerated Strawberry Shortcake when it should've been a nice pine tree decorated for Christmas, but who's counting? Let me start off by saying, this place is AWESOME!!! I went here with 7 girls for my birthday get together. We all got to sit at the same table together, just make sure before your event that you call and make sure your party is sitting all by you. Just walking into Pintos Palette, I was so pleased with the customer service and the atmosphere. So welcoming and vibrant and fun! The artists and the helpers were so amazing. Honestly I had such a blast. We started off by putting on the cute blue aprons, they have cubbies for you to put in your belongings. There is a bar, and the bartender is so nice!! We ordered wine, 2 glasses were like 9$. Affordable drinks is my point! Then the painter goes over each step and the class follows until you get to the very last step!! Totally do able for the non painters, it is so much fun. I had a blast. It was such a great event, with amazing people in the class. I mean they even gave me a crown and sang me happy birthday!! how much more amazing can you be?? LOVED IT! and would 100% go again. This is a neat little place to learn how to paint. It's fun to go in a big group, which is what I did with my work place. The instructors are nice and upbeat and makes you feel good about what you're painting. And I'm sure the alcohol helps with that as well LOL. The selection of paintings available from what I see are all very accessible to people of varying experiences. I do hope they grow in their selection! This is an awesome way for people who have no prior experience with arts and crafts to begin painting. Unsure of the price since it was paid for by my company. Their pineapple cider was AWESOME. This is a great place for a fun night out with a group of friends. You really don't need to know how to paint. Unfortunately, the night I was there the lady leading the event was crabby and snapped at the guests and her coworkers. Also, in my opinion, the selection of paintings is horrible and the finished product was nothing that I would display in my home.
