Very enjoyable fun! I highly recommend this painting experience for anyone. We are three beginners who's last painting experience was finger painting in grade school. Stacy walks through step by step how to paint the painting of your choice. There are light snacks provided to feed your creative energies. Wine or other non-alcoholic drinks to quench your thirst. I think the instructions given are more clear and the paint quality better than the paints at other paint and wine events. I get darker colors when I mix black with colors. At other similar painting events I get an unpleasant grey. The schedule includes fun stuff for children and adults so a good place for families. The studio is bright and clean and all the seating faces forward so you don't have to crane and kink your neck while painting which is a lot more than I can say for other similar paint and wine activities. 7-2015 Attended the Paint your Pup / Pet session. I wish I had the same experience as the other glowing reviews here. I booked a painting experience for 4 sometime around the end of September. Our painting session was supposed to be on the 24th of October. I booked and paid over the phone without using Groupon or any other discounts. This was supposed to be a "girls night out" for us. Getting all 4 schedules to mesh is not an easy thing with life happening. We were looking forward to painting the night away literally. Imagine our dismay when we got to Valley Painting and the parking lot was empty! I called their number and left a message. We waited around for another 10 minutes hoping with futility that they were just late coming in :-( . Of course nobody came and we just went home. One of the girls had to drive home 95miles away. I got a call from Valley Painting saying we were not on their schedule and they were away for a private event and they were sorry for the miscommunication. Really? We were not on their schedule? And I can reschedule for another time. Really? Why would I? And I shouldn't worry about my Groupon expiring, they will honor it still. Uhhhh...I didn't have Groupon, paid directly using my card over the phone. Is that why we were "conveniently" not on the schedule? If we were a groupon customer, we were not important enough so they can close shop for an offsite event that would understandably make them more $? I don't know. But my money was refunded, and I am still unhappy. Update: So we painted last night. All 4 of us. We got to the parking lot early and saw that there were 6 canvasses all prepped inside the studio and the lights were on. Whew! We waited until someone unlocked the door. We met Elena (hi, Elena!) and started the session at exactly 6:30pm. The other two came a few minutes later. The guy was our comic relief for the night. The painting session was good, I guess? I've never been to these painting sessions before so I have no point of reference. What we got: fun in the painting process, I guess? We just giggled at our canvasses. What we didn't get: The same treatment as what other groups got from what we saw from other yelper's posts. There were no snacks or drinks like from other posts. The guy who was with us wanted to paint with blue paint but was told blue was not available (Elena did not have access to it?) I feel sorry for the other two if we were the reason for that (we had complimentary tickets). It's like you get complimentary tickets, you get treated like crap and the other unsuspecting paying (?) customers were collateral damage. Two stars for Elena and thank you for the experience but will not recommend you to other people. read more
