I've been here twice in the past month and a half. First, I was attending a birthday bash for a friend of mine and the second time was to paint the castle x starry night thing that isn't Hogwarts but looks kind of like it. I loved both my visits here. I think their instructors have a lot of patience and are very kind and helpful. I've been to a paint and sip type of place before but wasn't quite satisfied with my experience but Pinot's palette in Webster Groves quickly changed my mind! You can bring your drinks or you may purchase them from the studio. They have wine, beer, seltzer types or NA drinks. You can also bring snacks. Our party did both times! The bathroom is a bit of a walk because they share the facilities with the building but it wasn't bad. The birthday bash painting was a sunset view with palm trees/coconut trees and a sprinkling of stars in the background. Beautiful horizontal, kind of panoramic style and it was easy to paint. Plus, the instructor took their time with our big group. Probably my proudest work on my wall of art at home, actually! Too bad I couldn't remember the name of the person who guided us patiently through the process but he was so awesome. Second, the castle x starry night thing. A bit more complex but our instructor took us through the process with ease and did not go crazy with moving too quickly while some of us got caught up with certain details. The second instructor was Mack. Wonderful person! We finished within the allotted time but my friend wanted to add more details and she was sent home with some paint to add the boats on the water. Overall, I've really enjoyed my time at this studio. I do keep an eye on their schedule just to make sure I don't miss anything of interest. I can't wait to paint more things! read more

We did this class because we could also drink wine (LOL). I have no experience painting and it was a lot of fun. Our instructor, Felice, was phenomenal. Felice has natural teaching skills and is very friendly, helpful and has lots of positive energy. When our time was over I felt like I could keep painting another hour or so. This is a great activity to do by yourself, for a date, with family or friends. Our class had a great vibe, very friendly and funny. The price is very reasonable and I learned a lot. I came here for a bachelorette/birthday party on a Saturday afternoon. The artist who greeted us was very friendly and helpful directing us to where to put our things and what areas we could decorate. They had ample space to set up a cute bachelorette snack area and our photo props. The painting was fun and easy to follow the directions provided by our artist. She was very helpful with corrections and was patient with how fast or slow we were working. We had a great time and took lots of fun pictures at the end. Overall I enjoyed myself. But I do think there are aspects of the experience that could be improved. For one, you have to buy alcohol. I feel for the price of the ticket/name of the place... you should at least be offered a complimentary beverage of some sort (even water or something), as it's a two hour class. The class started about 10 mins late. You have to pick up your own apron which made everything take longer. You were given a paper plate of paint and one to mix. One paper towel and a red solo cup as painting supplies. I felt like I didn't have enough supplies and by the time I was able to get more you fall behind in the class. Overall I wish I had more room and options available to me for painting. There should extra painting supplies on your tables and better organization overall. At the end you have to clean up your space. I enjoyed my time but overall for the price I believe the experience could've been better curated and organized. read more

Cannot say enough good things about our experience at Pinot's Palette. After searching for a mother appropriate bachlorette party activities, we decided to have a painting party before the less savory evening festivities began. From the moment we walked in Pinot's Palette staff, including the owner, bent over backwards to make sure we had a wonderful experience. We set up our food and drinks in the private event room and had extra time built in to do some socializing before our painting session started. Our paint instructor was patient and engaging while we completed our painting and made sure everyone was comfortable as our artistic skills levels varied greatly. Everyone was so happy with their finished product and we all now proudly display our artwork in our homes. I went with my family for a special night to paint our pets. For this specific night, we had to send our pictures ahead of time so they could screen print our pet on our canvas. Typically there isn't a screen print on the canvases for the other nights. We all brought drinks and snacks and had a very enjoyable time hanging out while we painted. The people working there were so nice and helpful. When I was stressed about not having enough time to finish my painting, they reassured me that it would be fine and that I'd have plenty of time. Also when I was stuck and couldn't figure out what to do, they gave me really good tips. I would definitely go back and have another paint night with my friends! read more

This place is so cool. I am not a painter. I hardly even consider myself to be creative but somehow, some way, they guided me into completing a painting that I like! I actually like it! Consider me shocked. Anne was great as our leader. She kept the instructions simple, the 90s jams pumping, and guided us to all create very unique paintings. It amazes me how 12 people painting the same painting can end up with such different takes on it. The facility itself is neat with paintings all over the wall. Each painter is set up with an easel, palette (paper plate), a water cup, brushes, and the needed paint colors. It ends up being so simple and the leader guides you step by step. I'm excited to go back for a pet night. You send a picture of your pet, they put it in black and white on a canvas, and then you get to paint it however you wish! I'll definitely be back! read more

I had a really great time with a big group of my co-workers at this place. They were really nice at accommodating everyone at one table that also had nice space at the end for all of our BYOB wine and snacks. I also felt like they were well stocked in terms of glasses, plates, wine openers, ice and wine chilling buckets, etc. too which was nice. I had never done one of these painting sessions before and am generally a pretty terrible artist but I actually think everyone's painting came out ok because the techniques are fairly easy for everyone to understand and the instructions come at a good pace. I actually like how my piece of art turned out. I think everyone in our group agreed this was a great activity and we'd all be willing to do it again. read more

First time at this location, but it was wonderful! I was slightly late but the instructor was patient and greeted me kindly nonetheless. The only reason I was late was because I was attempting to find parking. When going to this location, there are entrances off of Lockwood and two entrances off of Elm that you can take, one that has a big sign for parking and the other right before the railroad tracks. If you take the first one, I suggest turning right which should lead you into a decent sized parking lot. I parked there and walked around the corner to Pinot's Palette. There were some spots closer to the entrance but it looked like it wasn't for customers solely because they were behind what looked like a warehouse. I could be wrong, but I just didn't want to park there, haha. Now to my actual experience! Every time I've ever been to Pinot's Palette, I have always loved the instructor. They always have a great personality and really engage with the class. This class instructor was no different! He was entertaining and knowledgeable. He also had a great pace during his instructions. He paid attention to his class and was eager to help us with particular techniques in order get the look we were searching for. I can't wait to return to this location this Saturday for the date night painting with my boyfriend! read more

This is great fun for every age. My 13 year old and 8 year old had a blast painting. We were all very happy with how our paintings turned out. We arrived a little before class so we could set out our snacks and wine. Anna was our instructor for the evening and she was great at leading us step by step so that we all felt comfortable with what we were painting. The fun party atmosphere helped me to relax and have fun. The staff was great and somehow by the end of the night I had painted a nice looking painting. My grandson and I had a blast painting Freddy. His family has just moved into their first new home and he has a Cardinal themed bedroom. How excited he was to be able to add his freshly painted masterpiece in his room! The staff was wonderful from day 1 when I sent an email inquiring about a private party for my birthday. They were very responsive to my every question. They even supplied many of the paper products needed for our food - which was nice! Mandy was our instructor and she could not have been any more sweet and patient with our group.
