Overall, wonderful staff, lots of free arcade games and lots to do at this bar. Played the bowling that they have recently and had a lot of fun. It's $6 per person per game. The wait was only thirty minutes. Previous I had not played because the wait to play can get quite long. Besides the bowling they also have a lot of free arcade games in the basement and their drinks are good. They have four floors in all and there is something to do on every floor. It has multiple levels with different bars and it even has a rooftop. You can play the arcade games for free. Drinks are expensive in general here, but they are good. My new favorite addition is the claw machine next to all the other classic arcade games If arcade games aren't your thing they also have mini bowling (which I personally love more than regular bowling) But also if you aren't looking for gaming the environment is just fun itself; especially with the rooftop during the summer They also have a wide selection of fun and unique cocktails as well as a full bar of variety's of liquors and beer And not to mention the STAFF! I began going to Pins in 2018. The cocktails are tasty, the beer selection seems to be adequate for my friends, and the staff has consistently been friendly. There've been some changes, and more arcade games since merging with 16 Bit, but this just gave me more options for friends when I dragged the squad out for pinball and duckpin. There are multiple levels and a bar on every level so you don't have to go too far for a refill. Bonus: if you leave your tab open you can use any of the bars still and add to your tab! They have fun mixed drinks, specialty cocktails and then a very large selection of beer and cider. We hung out on the level with all the pinball machines and it was so fun! This was our first visit to Pins Mechanical Company. We took the '"free" Bell Connector to a stop just across the street which was super convenient. No driving. No searching for a parking spot and no meter fees! The bar is huge, the crowd is lively - in a good way - and they have a huge selection of beer and cocktails. Pins Mechanical Company is spread out on multiple floors so a crowd does not make the building seem crowded. Duck pin bowling is very different from traditional bowling and to me a lot more fun. You use a smaller ball and the pins do not help you by knocking others down as much as in traditional bowling. It is a hoot! We played a few games and it is easier for a first timer than bowling in my opinion. Pins Mechanical Company is a fun spot. They have video games scattered about but we came for the duck pin and bowl we did! I would encourage all ages to try this. They have a huge drink menu and large selection of beers, all within a reasonable price! You can go to have fun, drinks, or both! Awesome atmosphere with friendly staff, plenty of free activities (2 floors of arcade games and giant connect 4 etc) and a few activities that cost money but they have daily specials so we had BOGO duckpin bowling. They definitely made their money back on drinks as the mixed ones are $12 each and it's easy to spend a bunch on a date, but they have beers too. Only one or two games were out of service and they were ready to learn with the instructions on the games. Plenty of bathrooms and bowling lanes... We were often the only ones on the arcade floor. I popped into Pins this weekend during the day. I was a little hesitant to be in a bar just yet during the pandemic, but it wasn't too crowded and didn't feel too cramped in our bowling lane area. You can only book one game of bowling at a time on the weekends, but we immediately put in for a second game after our first and were able to play two consecutive games. Duckpin bowling is WAY more fun than regular bowling (and much easier). On a small day-drinking excursion, my friends and I shared a couple pitchers of cocktails. Both were delicious and boozy and also not too sweet. The staff were all super nice. I also appreciated that while you cannot reserve a lane, we were able to go to another bar while we waited for our lane to be ready and they texted us when they were ready. What a great addition to the OTR bar scene! This place is awesome and a great place to hang with friends. Unlike most OTR bars, this place is BIG! There is a different vibe on all three floors. I recommend putting your name in for a bowling lane when you first arrive because the line gets long (up to three hours) quickly. The bowling they offer is scaled down from a traditional bowling alley, however I prefer it this way (especially with a couple drinks in me) because it is easier to hit the pins with the shorter lanes and lighter balls. Pins also offers traditional arcade games such as pin ball that you can play if you are waiting for a lane. The bathrooms are clean with lots of stalls. The place is always well staffed so you don't have to wait too long for a drink. The cocktail/drink menu is awesome as well! read more

Adult and kid-friendly fun in Main St! They are +21 only after 8pm. I've been several times to Pins, with friends on a night out and with the kiddo. Both plans are awesome! They offer plenty of duckpin lines, ping pong, arcade machines and ping pong. For me the best are the duckpin lines, they charge $5 p/person p/game and is so much fun! They also have a rooftop which is pretty cool, however they don't serve their full menu of drinks there, so I would recommend to pick-up your drink at some of the other floors unless you're up for a slushie. read more

Definitely new and popular, but a 45 min wait to bowl wasn't awful and I'm so glad we waited. The game was super fun, we also played ping pong which was fun. The place is huge - 3 levels, will be 4 with the rooftop - and everything is just new and it's a fun atmosphere. They have probably 25 beers on draft and punch drinks. We shared a punch bowl which is recommended for 4, and it was a lot to drink, but it's 4 shots for $32, probably wouldn't get it again, but happy to get local beers! read more

I LOVE Pins mechanical! The place is ginormous with three levels of absolute FUN. I came in here last Friday night with a friend and it wasn't as packed as I imagined, which was perfect for me. There are many bars around this area so be prepared to battle for parking. Inside, we got our names in for bowling and were informed that the wait would be like 30 mins, which is really not bad. Aside from duck bowling, this places houses ping pong, a zillion pinball machines and maybe some arcade games. I read that they have foosball and basketball hoops, but we couldn't find it. The bowling prices are extremely reasonable with $5 per person per game. As we waited, we took the comfy chairs in the top level and grabbed some beers. They have a wide selection on tap and many cocktails, which I've heard good reviews about. I got a classic Guinness and it tasted as good as it always does! Once our wait was over, we marched down to play. I guess to minimize wait time, they are restricting only one game on Friday and Saturday nights, so we could opt for only one. This was a bummer but I guess I understand. There's plenty seating areas around every lane. And be attentive to the game because if you don't bowl when the light is green, after a couple seconds the game uses up your move for no points. Washrooms are mostly constricted to the basement. Their basement washrooms are neat, but it smelled like ammonia the moment I got to the floor. Very cool place, but with every cool place comes lots of people and steep drink prices. It's in a great location on Main St in OTR. The atmosphere is very hip, several floors of things to do: sit and drink, talk, bowling lanes, pinball, rooftop drinking, etc. I've been here twice so far but haven't tried the bowling yet. Cocktails are $8 each with good ingredients and combos; drafts are $6. Drinks are $2 off during happy hour on weekdays. Staff is nice, but a little slow when making cocktails since it's so busy. I'm so glad we stopped in this place. It really does make you feel like a kid again. My husband and I wanted to bowl. We signed up and we're out on a waitlist. The wait was only about 15 minutes which was perfect because we were able to grab one of their delicious drinks while we waited. We normally really enjoy coming to Pins and sitting on the rooftop to watch the sunset, or playing pinball. However, the last two times we've been in there has been a very nasty bartender who has made our visit unenjoyable. We don't know her name, but she has blonde curly hair and a very disagreeable disposition. It's like she can't be bothered by another drink order or a question. She stands like a statue, doesn't greet you, and is very rude when engaging. We have always found everyone pleasant when we've come in up until this point. This is a bar, you want your team to make people feel welcome to encourage them to stay. Very disappointed and will make every attempt to avoid her if we decide to come back. read more

Gabby and kaylee are the best! Service was incredible and their recommendations were spot on. They deserve a raise!!
