Update in response to owner's ridiculous response to my original post which was a 3 star review...simply look at the menu board pic I posted and you shall see their high prices. I regularly get 64 oz. Sloop Juice Bomb growler fills for $8.99 at the Minogue's on West Ave. in Saratoga and they offer a dollar off that with a receipt from your previous growler fill, bringing it down to $7.99. The Queensbury Minogue's has Ithaca Flower Power growler fills for $6.99 with the dollar coupon. So yeah, Pint Sized prices are not, in fact, pint sized. Again, I know of no other estblishment that requires a cork fee to buy a beer other than this Pint Sized place...but hey, if Pint Sized is your place, then enjoy and spend freely. Me, I'm spending my loot in places where it goes much, much farther. Original post: on the good side, this place has beers that you can't find in most places. For example, Founders KBS stout on draft! On the bad side, it's really small and feels cramped with a low ceiling since it's in a basement of an old Broadway building. Additionally, no real food other than microwaved Hot Pocket empanadas at 4 bucks each. On the worst side, prices are high. Too high for me to be a regular. For example, they charge a 2 dollar "cork" fee if you buy a can or bottle beer from them and drink it in house. Huh? What's that all about? Stick to the draft beer as there is no "corking" fee, but even that is very pricey here. You can take a look at my pics to see how cramped the place is and also see what their typical prices are on their craft drafts. If I'm a New York City guy and used to paying super high beer prices and this were track season, I wouldn't mind the high prices in here, but I'm not that guy so I'm not sure if I'll ever even be back. Tip: just drive over to Minogue's Beverage Center on West Ave. or in Wilton and you can get a growler fill of many of the same beers they have here on tap for a third of the price. read more

This was a cute place in the heart of Saratoga. Since we went during COVID times, it wasn't in all of it's glory, but there were some chairs outside and a nice hangout on a beautiful summer day. The tap selection is great and the bartender was very friendly and knowledgable. I'm not from the area, but if we're back in 'Toga in the future, we'll definitely come back! read more

Visited Pint Sized for a beer on the Monday of a holiday weekend. My experience at the bar was definitely skewed by some very intoxicated guests and a messy set-up. However, I get the sense, on other days this may be a place right up my alley. Quality: Pint Sized is a little dive bar focused on craft beer. They have twelve taps with an assortment of beers, primarily from the northeast. I went with an IPA from Woodstock, while my girlfriend selected a cider from Massachusetts. I did not love the plastic cups, though I understand the need. I had no problem with the quality of the beverages, though I was a little surprised by the cost. It was higher than I expected, but not so much that it was an issue. Quantity: They had several size options for beers on tap, as well as dozens of cans and bottles. Value: $5-$12 for Full Pour Drafts. Ambiance: Pint Sized is a small beer bar located in the downtown area of Saratoga Springs. The inside is quite small, with just a tiny bar and some fridges with beer, though it looked like the back area could have had more seating and display, but was being used for storage. Out front, they had some chairs set up on a small grassy patch, but the chairs looked like they had been through a battle. Most were at least a little broken, and they absolutely needed to be sprayed down. It felt very much like a dive experience, and this may be a result of a cheap beer special, as people were just doing as they pleased, drinking all along the sidewalk, yelling, singing, and crying. It felt like chaos for the middle of the day. Crowd: Every single chair outside was filled, and people were pulled up to all but one seat at the bar. It is not a big place, but they were very much maxed out. They were also running a very cheap special on some can of beer, and it seemed like most guests were more than taking advantage. This left the place a mess, with several customers having more than a few well before the sun went down. Service: The bartender was nice and efficient, but it seemed like he was also tasked with keeping the place clean. And with a busy bar, and unruly guests, it was impossible to do so. This left very sticky chairs from spilt beer and piles of trash across their small space. Parking: Tons of street parking throughout the area. read more

Friendliest staff and the smallest bar in Saratoga. Walking down the steps the place seems to get smaller smaller hahaha. Been coming here for about half a year and I've gotta say it's my favorite bar in Saratoga. The staff is very polite and they have plenty of fun events regularly. I'm not much of a beer drinker but I absolutely love hard cider and they have many options to choose from. The atmosphere is great here too. Some other bars can feel a bit rough-and-tumble but this one has friendly patrons and is very clean. The board games are great fun too. This is a small, fantastic little craft beer shop with some local brews that can be difficult to find elsewhere. The shop itself is quite small, having a lower area with the primary beer selection, some seating and the general bar checkout area, followed by an upper level with some additional seating and further beer selection. The upper level though, should be noted, has a very low ceiling that can be difficult to walk under. I'm not sure where the cuttoff is, but I'm roughly 6'1" and had to duck in the upper area to walk. Here they offer both for consumption at their location, or if you want to grab some of the bottles to go, that is an option as well. The staff is very helpful in giving recommendations on what type of beer they have that might match you preferences, especially given for what they have in stock at the moment. read more

Pint Sized is a cozy little spot to have a drink and some conversation. Here you will find a comfortable and bright atmosphere, modern furniture and décor, and friendly staff. They carry a good variety of beer and cider so there is something for just about everyone. When I stopped by they did not have any cider on tap, but maybe in the future? I hope so! I thought my night was taking a downturn until I stumbled upon this hole in the wall serving effervescent beverages. While I cracked open my refreshment, I noticed a deep hunger come rumbling from within. Little did I know, I was having a strange craving, and the only thing that could have quenched it was a can of Hormel chili. The server behind the bar, as pleasant and cheerful as she was, surprised me in her perfect preparation of my meal, choosing the exact amount of seconds on the microwave to make it nice and hot, but not so hot it burns the roof of your mouth. First and last time I will ever go here. I stopped in on 8/18 to an obnoxious and EXTREMELY pushy bartender/worker. After checking out what was available in the cooler, I decided to ask what the recommended IPA was on draft. Said bartender slapped a promotional item on the bar and said this is the one. I then asked if I could sample it before purchasing, he said "No, you don't want to sample. Just buy it." I asked again to sample and he countered with "You don't want a sample, you want the whole thing" and proceeded to pour the entire glass..forcing me to buy. Back at the cooler, I was told by another worker that if you buy 6 individual cans, you get $5 off that purchase. A 6 pack of craft beer could run you about $15 anywhere else..here? $32. $5 off the original $37. I won't even get in to how the same obnoxious bartender continued to yell both inside and outside the store "we got great beer!" Make your own judgement people, but I have never experienced something like this. read more
