Finally had a chance to try Kindred last week(end)…read more I was honestly won over when we first walked in....we didn't have a reservation but asked if they could accommodate two for dinner. The hostess/server was awesome: not pretentious and looking down her nose at us since we didn't have a reservation. She did say that she needed the table by 7 PM. No problem! That said, it was pretty busy for being early in the evening. Guests kept coming in as we were getting ready to depart. The food that we tried was very good: -the chips with crème fraîche were very nice, but I don't know that I would go out of my way for these again. I really enjoyed the chips themselves... very thin and light ...and quite salty (in a good way). A little bit of fish roe is mixed in for "extra saltiness" and a little bit of a fishy experience in the crème fraîche. -Brussel sprouts for me were the winner! Absolutely delicious and we added some chicken so that we'd have a little bit of protein. Grilled chicken was perfectly flavored and not dry at all. Brussels sprouts had just the right amount of char and umami. -flatbread was honestly my least favorite. We stuck with the basic burrata/Margherita pizza/flatbread, and after eating the brussels sprouts it just didn't hold up in terms of flavor. Some of the other options might be better if you're looking for more of a flavor punch.... but it was served steaming, hot, and freshly made. As more people showed up, it definitely got noisier... so prepare for a bit of a loud environment...pretty much the same situation in all downtown Saratoga restaurants these days. I will definitely go back and try some other items on the menu.

We had heard about Lago and I wanted to see the lake so we popped in about 2pm. The place was serving a nice lunch crowd, but we didn't have to wait and were quickly sat at an inside table that was on the edge that looked onto the patio/lake. With the drizzly nature, no one was sitting outside so we had a clear view. Service was great and "on top of it." We ordered and thought we'd have to wait a bit and were settling in to just enjoy the lake vibes when a few minutes later our food came out. Quick and efficient! They have a good beer selection... a little something of everything... and lots of fun cocktails to choose from should you wish to indulge. Their food selection was good... leans towards burgers, sandwiches and pizzas. They do have gluten free buns and pizza crust too. Great place for a casual dinner out with great lake vibes! Not far from the town of Saratoga Springs... maybe 15 minutes depending .... I can see how this place is popular!

The whole vibe is relaxed marina chic/barista-snobs serving elevated lake-side pub fare. The food is creative but underwhelming. The beef bulgogi was acceptable. The lobster roll was bleh/meh. Let's be honest though...You're not really going here for food. You're going here to look at the lake and be seen. On a nice day, the wait times are long and the staff are somehow smugly happy to tell you that you have to wait. Overall.....It's fine. Really. It's fine. Go here. Just don't expect amazing food or attentive service and you won't be let down.

My hubs and I had never been to Kraverie before and were happy to try a new place. I am glad that we did because we made up about 75% of the patrons on a Thursday night, which made the bar's owner quite happy. I checked out the menu before we went. OK, typical bar food but with an emphasis on kimchi (I'm not a fan). They serve chicken wings "nice or naughty (spicy)" and they were good. The dumplings (we call them potstickers) were typical, also fine. My hubs liked his taco (street-size). I ordered their Steak Salad. A disgrace. Bagged lettuce accompanied by two small slices of cucumber. The 'steak' was 1/4" size square pieces of dried out meat whose texture was like shoe leather. It was very hard to find the 'steak' in the salad which is why I didn't bother photographing it. I am being kind here. It was awful. The tables are so close together that I felt the back of the person at the table in front of me (we were back-to-back) touching me the entire time. My spouse was challenged eating his food because his chair didn't fit at the table because of the person behind him. WTF. They had one server for the entire room which included perhaps 10 tables plus the bar. This was clearly insufficient and service suffered (we don't blame her). We went to support our musician friend. We probably won't be going back.

There was no hot drinks on the menu that I can recall I do not drink alcohol, but was looking forward to a tasty well made mocktail. There were 4-6 choices and mine was very tasty The food choices disappointed me. It was mini hot dogs with the works, chicken tenders, macaroni and cheese, potato chips and dip, french fries Definitely I do not belong to the targeted customer, which I believe is an elementary school' age crowd Deserts, each sounded good The peanut butter pie was the table favorite. I ordered lemon cake made with olive oil. The sauce on top, a lemon raspberry concoction was SOUR!

I came here to catch up with friends and it was enjoyable on a cold winter evening. We weren't quite hungry, so we ordered a bunch of snacks and had a mocktail. After, we also tried their desserts. The friendly staff bring you your menu which has food on one side and drinks on the other. An important thing to note, is that you must place your order at the bar. Not awful though as they bring it to you once your items are ready. The overall mood of this place is dark and broody. Very casual, and laidback so it's perfect for a chill evening. We shared some chicken tenders, chips and dip, air fryer fries, mini hot corney dogs and mac and cheese with our mocktails. Lastly, we had a slice of peanut butter pie and olive oil lemon cake. Bibulous also had some drink specials and dessert posted on the board if you still wanted more options. For a hangout, check this place out!

Upon walking in the host and servers were super nice and we were seated promptly. The space itself is super nice! Not crowded at all but definitely means you should make a reservation as they are super popular! Food was amazing! DO NOT MISS THE ROLLS! I'd come back just for the rolls, they were so soft, fluffy, and light with the perfect flaky salt on top to balance with the whipped honey butter. Delicious! Everything else was also great, the hanger steak is also tender and loved the hash that came with it and the crab spaghetti had ample crab meat in it. Presentation was gorgeous. Love the seasonal menus and you really can't go wrong with anything here. We skipped out on dessert but I'm sure there's great options too. Highly recommend and hope to be back!
