This is a good spot to come hang and catch a game on the TV while you enjoy some craft pizzas and beers. You order the food and beer separately, food from a walkup counter and beer from the bar in the middle of the restaurant. You get a buzzer puck when you order food so the servers can locate you and bring it to your table. We ordered the Beer Mates and Pizza Roll appetizers to start and two pizzas, the Oo La La and the Shroomin' Goat. Food timing was staggered and the only real hiccup was that the Beer Mates appetizer order seemed to have gotten lost because we had to ask for it after all the rest of our order had trickled out, and it then took about 15min more for it to finally arrive. But, when it did, it was piping hot and fresh, so that's good. Food quality was very good and we enjoyed everything we ordered. read more

Self service bar type area that super good for hangouts except it's almost impossible to find a seat in the first 10 minutes you're there. There were only 3 of us and it took us awhile to get seated but at the vibe was casual and cool and you can get a beer or a beer flight while waiting for a seat or for your pizza. The pizzas were great, thing crust, how I liked it, with very interesting flavors. 2 medium sized ones filled us well. Food and beer are delicious with terrific variety of both. They just introduced sandwiches last week and given how often we frequent it's a nice addition to the usual fare. Where they could improve is in the service department. Speaking only of the floor staff as the bartenders have been consistently great. If you happen upon a free booth that's recently opened up you'll likely bus it yourself. Somewhat annoying when you're perched next to a dirty table watching numerous employees sail by. Also it's a shame they removed the foosball table for another picnic table, as it was a great gathering place for the kiddos. Overall a solid place that we regularly enjoy visiting. read more

This is the best brewery in Austin, Texas. Haven't been to other locations, but the staff here in Round Rock have been nothing but phenomenal. Beer is awesome and cold, pizza is incredible (not to mention jalapeño ranch), and the building is very spacious and clean. This will be a staple every time I come through this area. read more

Very impressed overall with this pizza restaurant/bar. The food was great, the atmosphere was cozy but lively at the same time. There were plenty of TVs with great visibility and enough seating for our smaller party of 4. We arrived around 7 on a Sunday evening. It wasn't terribly busy but we had an Amber ale and waited for the rest of our party. The beer was cold and refreshing. There was adequate seating and everything was clean and orderly. We ordered the Honey Pear pizza and queso w/chips. We weren't a huge fan of the chips but the queso was good. The Honey Pear pizza was fantastic! Not sure why I don't do Pinthouse more often. It always hits the spot. One of my favorite pizzas all around and by far my favorite the day after. I don't know why but no other crust reheats as good as this one in the toaster oven. Ingredients always taste fresh and the beer is outstanding. Update. Reviewer is now a regular at Pinthouse round Rock and has some very biased opinions. Read with caution. I believe that the round rock location is definitely the best of the Pinthouses. Their beer selection is quite diverse, the food is just hands down amazing and there are also options such as cider, wine, hard kombucha (thanks hipsters) for non beer drinkers. I'm struggling to think of one bad thing to say and just to say something- it's the crowds on Friday and Saturday evenings. I'm chuffed that this branch has gone from strength to strength; and I hope it continues to do so. As long as they're open, my Family and I shall keep visiting !! read more

Oh how the times have changed. Over the past five years, my buddy and I have made personal relationships with literally everyone at this restaurant. We came every day for years, it's tapered off lately but we still come at least twice a week because we love the beer, the food and the people. The prices have (like a lot of things) gotten completely out of control, but the real problem is local management. Just found out that two of our favorite staff members got fired without legitimate cause. Two friendly faces that always knew what we wanted without having to ask. We won't be back. End of story. I usually don't talk smack about a business but if anyone asks I won't recommend it. All we ever order at other restaurants and bars in Pinthouse beer... that's the end. We've been a fan of the Pinthouse franchise ever since we moved to ATX in 2018. First location we tried was on Burnet and it instantly felt like home. Good food, good beer, & good company. Haven't been back to Pinthouse since Covid and since we loved the food we wanted to go back. Glad they were busy but I have to say, while the pizzas and salads are absolutely great, the service seemed off. I know this is mostly a serve yourself model but it felt awkward standing with my family trying to see if anyone would help us find a seat. We stood there quite a while and once in a while a server would walk past us, look at us and keep walking. It would have been nice for one of them to smile and say 'sit anywhere' or something helpful. I knew I'd have to stand in line to order, then go back for refills, and finally to close out my tab. I guess the two things that chapped me most after the seating thing was first, when we asked the server who brought our pizza for 1 more plate and fork and she said 'sure,' then never came back and second, I was presented the option to pay a tip from 15-25% when I closed out my tab. Now I almost always over tip because I'm in hospitality and try to support exceptional service. I did tip but felt it wasn't really deserved, sadly. Outside the service issues, we will likely try it again as I know finding enough good employees is very tough now and we LOVE any restaurant that is part of the Jack Allen family because the food is SOOOOO good. The restaurant has a cool atmosphere and its very clean. Basically you wait in line, place your order, then its open seating. Most seating is the ling picnic tables. They have a daily lunch special for $11.99 small pizza, salad, and drink. The crust is really good, its a thinner crust. They dont use alot of cheese which I like. The sauce is good.
