I had the cheese fries, honey bbq wings, and deep dish pizza. The wings could have been cooked a little longer but the deep dish was on point! As with all deep dish pizzas, prepare to wait longer for it to cook but trust, it is worth the wait. It was cooked exactly how it should be with the right amount of sauce and added ingredients. Though we weren't welcomed with the best greeting upon entering, our waitress was great. Very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. I don't love writing "meh" reviews, but I wanted to share this in case it helps someone else decide what to order. If you like thin crust, I wouldn't recommend getting it here. Unfortunately, it just wasn't very good. I think the way it was cut made it even worse--they cut it into small squares, which felt more like a kids' pizza spot and didn't really work for this style of crust. I wouldn't come back for pizza unless I were trying their deep dish, which I've heard is more their thing. The wings were okay, but nothing standout. We have tried other pizza since we moved here and it's very unpredictable. Came in for a takeout order and was greeted by the owner who was very nice and gave me the history of the restaurant. The food is a little on the pricey side but very good. Here's what I had. Thin crust cheese pizza- not your typical thin pizza. Well call it slim/thick pizza. Very good! 18 inch pepperoni double dough-. It took me a few bites to get used to this style but I really liked it. Good crust too! Jumbo wings BBQ- Wow these were good! Get em, I swear they'll exceed your expectations. Big, flavorful, tasty wings! Cheese sticks- these were good but you have to eat them fresh. Good cheese pull! Chopped salad - This exceeded my expectations and the salad was full of all the goodness. We finally decided to stop in and try it out. Pleasantly surprised it had a full bar and a lot of TV's. Friendly employees/owner? We ordered the house margarita on the rocks & a blood orange margarita also on the rocks. I liked the blood orange more than the house but the house was good as well. Food time, we ordered the four cheese ravioli and the spaghetti and meatballs. I'm a meatball snob and I LOVED these! Large portions & plenty of garlic bread. My raviolis were big, sauce was fresh and I literally ate my entire plate except for one ravioli, I had to tap out. I definitely took that one ravioli home for leftovers tomorrow. It was my daughter's birthday she did her research and discovered this restaurant have Chicago style food. When we arrived it was around 4ish in the afternoon. As soon as we walked in there were a couple of people sitting @ the bar and a young lady behind the bar, the place suddenly got quiet no one spoke to us, you could hear a pin drop, then Melissa came from the back and was able to assist us. She stated we can sit anywhere we liked so we chose to sit in the enclosed patio. We were waiting for my husband to arrive before we ordered, that gave us time to look at the menu. Melissa was very attentive and kept checking to see if there was anything we needed while we wait. Finally he arrived and we needed more time to place our order so my daughter ordered some cheesy fries, she stated the fries were good. Now it's time to order, we ordered a deep dish sausage pizza because we really wanted to see if it's a taste of home, we also ordered 1 Italian beef sandwiche and 1 Italian beef combo both with cheese, and an order of BBQ wings 3 glasses of water with lemon to wash it down. Y'all I know this may sound crazy but the water was really good I know it wasn't tap water. Y'all the deep dish pizza was very good, fresh ingredients piled high like a deep dish should. Now I did not like the Italian beef sandwich the meat did not have any flavor to it was bland but they tried. The establishment was clean the prices are reasonable they even have happy hour. Let's start with the positive: service is awesome here. We had great interactions with the owner. She made us feel very welcome. Also, our server was friendly and engaging. That said, service did not save our meal. We ordered cheese sticks and a thin pizza with mushrooms and sausage. First, the cheese sticks. They clearly came out of the freezer. And what was presented as marinara tasted like oddly seasoned runny tomato sauce. It had nice chunks of tomatoes, but did not taste like marinara. Thumbs down. Next, the pizza. The menu said it came in slices. Instead, it was cut like a checkerboard. Ok. It was just unexpected. We appreciated that the mushrooms were fresh and liked that the sausage came in good sized pieces. The cheese coverage was nice too. Unfortunately, the sauce was the same sauce we had with the cheese sticks. Not good. So, we found ourselves removing the sauce as we ate. So again, thumbs down. Finally, great Chicago tavern style pizza in the Austin area! We were a table of three couples and we decided on a few Fabulous Four pizzas- sausage, mushroom, green bell pepper and onion. The Italian sausage was tender and delicious, as was the mozzarella. We had just been in the Chicago area last week and had Aurelio's tavern style pizza, our go to when there. We still love Aurelio's but Rosati's could be our new favorite. We had great service from our server Anna, and the owner asked how our dinner was on our way out. Really not sure why there is a low rating for this place. Im going to have to read the reviews and am sure there are a couple of knuckleheads that complain about the silliest things. Their food is always served fresh and hot, their service is always done with a smile, they check up on us even when its busy. They have only messed up on a part of an order once and the place is always pleasant to be at at and enjoy the games playing on their tvs. They also have patio seating. They have some new items and everything always looks delicious and ends up being delicious. I even drink the water. lol I always ask for water but most places their water tastes like crap but not here. If you're ordering chicago pizza, you have to have patience. Dont be a jerk. For what we paid for the pizza though I would've expected more toppings put on the pizza. I barely could find the meatballs, sausage or mushrooms but there was about the right amount of pineapple. We also got mozzarella sticks which I'm guessing because of the delivery driver were completely cold and kind of blah, I would probably pass next time on that. read more

Former Chicago girl, finally found fabulous REAL Chicago food. Our go to is the Sausage thin crust pizza. The sausage is fresh and the fennel seeds are whole, as it should be! The cheese is REAL and fresh, the sauce is perfect. The thick crust is more Chicago style but we are old and watching our carbs! But it is scrumptious! I love getting the shaved roast beef hero, dripping with Au ju. Another dish I had missed terribly. It tastes like home. I have to say the Dessert Cannolis are the BEST IVE EVER HAD. 2 cannolis per order, I'm always reluctant to share. The service is fast, friendly and professional. First, we tried to order over the phone so that the pizza would be ready by the time we got there, but they said they wouldn't allow that. Then when we got there, there were several tables open but since we had five people, they were not willing to put the tables together. They said we had a 15 to 20 minute wait even though there were literally five or six 4 person tables available. We asked if we could order the pizza while we waited and they refused. Your pizza isn't that good! We ended up going to this new place in Cedar Park called "Dough it Up "and their pizza was to die for. Service was relatively slow to start the visit, took about 5 minutes for us to get a drink order in and then another 15 for food. Electric Jellyfish is $8.50 a pint, yikes. Food comes in an average amount of time, daughter loves the calzone and the marinara sauce, she said she liked it more than DaSano's calzone, but thinks Home Slice was better. I'll put it 3rd place since you can't trust a kindergartner's palette. My Italian beef sandwich was pretty good. BUT 10 feet away take-out employees playing with a toddler and not acknowledging customers. the assumed manager eventually arrives and he is confused why no host. Says he will find her. She arrives and flustered about tables not clean (tables about 60-70% full) Takes us to a patio table saying something about missing menus. She left to find them Once seated, 15 mins pass with no greeting from waitress or waiter. One older waitress seemed to purposely ignore half the patio and us. Zero eye contact I see the male manager again. This time, playing and chasing the same toddler in the take out when I arrived around the restaurant. That's odd. Why is a manager holding, chasing, playing with a kid. Then sit down at the table with them? I see. He has his family and kids during Saturday dinner rush. He has no host (guess she's lost) No clean tables (that's the hosts complaint when she finally arrived) And no waiter or waitress to serve. But I watched him play and chase his kid and converse with who I would think was his wife at a table. After 20 mins we left waiting at a table with no contact. What a cluster of employees and management. But I made sure to wave to him as my family walked out. He was clueless. read more

A little sad they don't take the yelp check in coupons anymore but not a big deal! I really liked the parmesan chicken bites. They were packed full of flavor and were pretty tender. And they came with a lot of dipping sauce which I loved and used the extra for on the pizza. The pizza was also good. The monster comes with a lot of toppings which you can't complain about, the more food honestly the better. But because there was so much, some of the dough still felt kind of raw. We tried Rosati's last night for a quick bite after we both worked late. The environment isn't the best; it's bar-forward with a few tables wrapping around the bar. However, you can tell that during the nice-weather season, there is a larger dining space that is an indoor/outdoor convertible patio, and we will definitely check it out when the weather cools down a bit. For just the two of us, we ordered a couple of Pinthouse Electric Jellyfish IPAs, the Antipasto Salad, their Windy City pizza with thin crust, and a couple of cannoli. The salad was OK, but came undressed and was served with the dressing on the side in a little plastic to-go cup with foil peel-top. Thought that was a little strange for a dine-in experience, but it was fine. The pizza was DELICIOUS tho -- the Italian sausage was fantastic, and I've never seen so generous a portion of cheese on a pizza where "extra cheese" was not requested. This pizza was loaded with flavor and perfectly spicy from their Giardiniera topping -- wonderful. The one big disappointment for us was the cannolis. On the website, in pictures on their menu, and in the food item description, the beautiful cannolis set a high expectation of being "dipped into mixed nuts" and on some versions of the menu it actually says "dipped into pistachios", and all of the pictures show a brilliant green topping of crushed pistachios all over the cannolis. This was absolutely NOT the case, and the waiter did not tell us they were out of pistachios/nuts, so we were very disappointed when the cannolis arrived with nothing but mini chocolate chips. That is quite a difference from what is advertised and it was a big let down for us. We will come back for the pizza. read more

As a lifelong Chicagoan I was surprised and delighted to learn that there was a real Rosati's Pizza in Cedar Park. Rosati's was our go-to when we lived on Chicago's north side. We ordered the 18" thin crust Italian Sausage pizza and it was the great tavern style pizza we grew up with (meh to the folks who don't understand the history and practicality of a small square slice). If we lived closer, we'd be at Rosati's AT LEAST weekly. As it is, it's a 45 minuted one-way drive for us. Still, worth it! We picked a pizza and some Parmesan chicken bites for a late night dinner. We ordered the Monster pizza and I personally felt there were too many toppings on this pizza. The pizza tasted pretty good but it wasn't anything special for me. The Parmesan chicken bites were good but again nothing that stood out to me. Nothing but Italian food here. This is a chain restaurant featuring what they describe as "Real Chicago Pizza." The pizza is amazing and although a bit pricey, they deserve 5 stars. The 14" "monster" was enough for both my wife and I with leftovers as it is really loaded with toppings. The sandwiches, however, are pretty standard. I had meatball and wife had chicken parm subs. The Italian bread was nice snd fresh, but really too filling. The meatballs were 3 large flavorful soft meatballs and were really too big for a sandwich. You couldn't get it in your mouth, but trying to eat it with a fork and knife was really awkward. The chicken Parm sub was a little thinner so not as much a problem. Each came with fries and a ton of melted mozzarella. The sauce was very good, but it was hard to eat the subs and the pasta options looked pretty pricy so I guess we'll stick with the pizza in the future. They have a bar with several beers as well as wine and cocktails. We are not drinkers but the bar was crowded snd everyone was having a good time. This is the kind of place every community needs; good food, nothing spectacular, but friendly folks and a place to enjoy yourself. read more
