Every time we return the experience gets worse :( so sad for this area as there are not many fancier sit-down places to eat that are not chain food restaurants. I live here to Not Pay in city Austin prices and the quality and portion sizes on top of location does not make sense for these price points and portions. Be ready to wait for a while for anything you order unless it is at the outside bar. This place is always overfilled and very close tables which makes it so loud it's difficult to have conversations. There are a bunch of people that stand at the desk in front and they are all overwhelmed and having to check and run around for what their availability is and what's going on constantly. Seems like they could benefit from a better communication system for staff. There is a lot of space and beautiful inside and out of the building, but it is very noisy. They have bands that play outside which is nice. The craft beer is $7 a pint for their own beer. Last time we were here we got our menu items pretty cold, especially the fries which seemed frozen and the waitress took it back without complaint and brought them back very quickly as it it was all nuked real quick? It's supposed to be an Irish pub/heritage CRAFT, but the food is made lazy and not even correct traditionally. We came for the soft open years ago and had the Best time and the deals were great, came back about once a year since then and now it's just absurd.

This place was great! Service was on top of it, Arian was great. It's a little loud at the high top area but the main dinning is quieter. Outdoor area is beautiful! We got the soft garlic pretzel perfectly fluffy and delish. The garlic cheese cheese 10/10!! We also got the smoked buffalo wings and the fish and chips again 10/10 definitely recommend!!

This is a ginormous place! I was expecting a small pub atmosphere. It was more like a hall you'd have an Oktoberfest celebration in. Very loud and far from a "date" venue. I will say it was filled with men, though I expect most of them were married and hanging out with their work friends-so, sorry ladies, not a great place to meet your "next Mr. Right". I was meeting a friend here, and it was a chilly rainy day. We got a seat next to one of their fireplaces which was a reprieve from the gray, cold day. There were lots of beers to choose from. I tried a tropical IPA, and my friend had a lighter Pilsner. They were both delicious. We shared an order of fish and chips with an additional piece of fish. The food was hot and flavorful, though smaller pieces of fish than I was expecting. The service was very good. I'd say this was a "miss" for me because I prefer smaller venues. If you like big brewery atmospheres, you'd enjoy this place. Give it a try!

The family wanted to go out for dinner on a whim one evening. We live in Hutto, so there's not many options when it comes to restaurant. One place that has come up a few times and is relatively close by, is Cork & Barrel. The place is classed as an Irish Pub, and with my wife's father being from Belfast, we thought it would be a good spot to try. The place is huge, with a massive outside dining and playing area helps give it a communal and social feel. We were seated inside, in an area which felt more like a bar, than a pub. On the other side of the building, there is a darker, more cozy feeling area which we would've preferred. My wife instantly ordered the Irish Stew, as it's a benchmark item for her, when trying somewhere Irish themed. She went with a cup of it, as a tester, and it had a really nice thick consistency to it, and tasted great. What a good start! Curried Fries and Smoked Wings were appetizers ordered for the table. Both went quickly, with the Curried Fries being a particular favourite for myself and my eldest daughter. From an Irish food point of view, outside of the stew, there's not much else on the menu that could be classed as "Irish". Somebody pointed out Fish n Chips, but that wasn't doing it for my wife (more an English thing), so I ordered it. The cod was nice, and the batter was crispy and not too thick (as it usually is here in the US). The chips were a letdown, though as they tasted frozen, when they should've been fresh hand-cut, deep-fried thick chips...not French fries My kids seemed to enjoy their food and the general experience. I finished off my dinner with Ice cream and Apple pudding-like dessert. It was really nice. Will order again. Overall, it's a nice place, with spotty-to-decent service and nosh, but lacks Irish foods (if that's what you're after).

First and foremost the service at the bar and the drinks we had were 4 * a mimosa and a michelada. It was the food that was way underwhelming. Fish and chips and pork belly appetizer. The fish was heavily breaded and thick and as we all know when it's thick it crispy on the outside and mushy on the inside. The fish itself was dry. The sauce was tasty but not traditional tarter, and the chips were just seasoned fries from a box. The pork belly was almost burnt and I guess they were supposed to be burnt ends? But they were very dry and the flavor was not good. Over all I would not return, I would give it a 3.5 if I could but I can't. The outside and inside areas were great and it looks like a fun place but just not work the price in my opinion.

Food: The portions are very generous and I appreciate the unique twist on traditional dishes. The spinach artichoke dip was SO good! We asked for a both the chips and baguette. The fish & chips are also 10/10. Highly recommended both of these. Service: We made reservations and were seated promptly. Our server was friendly and helpful while we were deciding what to order. Ambiance: This is a great place to bring a large group of people! They have lots of seating inside and outside.

The vibe of the restaurant is like walking into the beasts castle from Beauty and the Beast. It's dark and very gothic with many gargoyles all around. The food is very salty, but flavorful and the short rib fell apart as you ate it. As far as veggie options go, it's a very empty menu.

I came to this location yesterday for a Mothers Day brunch with the Things. I had a reservation for 2:15 and showed at 2 PM with the assumption that this location would be at capacity. This was not the case. We were seated within a few minutes of arrival at the table. Once seated, we waited 14 minutes to be greeted and for the waitress to take our drink orders. The Things and I each selected different items from the buffet to try to ensure that we were able to sample multiple items. Unfortunately, all items sampled were less than stellar. London Broil Generally, a London broil is generally a tough cut of meat, but it has great flavor. If prepared correctly, it becomes a flavorful steak with a nice beefy taste and tender chew. This London Broil was tender but tasteless. The gravy paired with this was mushroom and was bland. The mushrooms lacked the salt and butter one comes to expect in a basic gravy. Salmon It's simple to deduce if salmon is overcooked by flaking it with a fork. When salmon is perfectly cooked, it flakes easily into large, tender pieces. Overcooking salmon makes it a little more difficult to flake the filet, and the flakes tend to have a visibly dry, shredded appearance. The salmon here was dried out. Roasted Garlic Mashed Potatoes The potatoes were dried out and clumpy. Unwanted lumps are a result of mashing undercooked potatoes, so the key to avoiding lumps is cooking the potatoes correctly. Aside from the poor showing of food, I was charged a 20% large party fee for 3 people. This was not mentioned in the reservation that a fee of this magnitude would be charged for a buffet for 3 people. The speed or service, poor caliber of food and mandatory 20% tip for being served 2 sodas, and a glass of champagne when we stacked our own plates for the busser is not warranted. Total $173.78 for three buffet plates of food and three drinks. Regarding the gratuity, a businesses must disclose their automatic gratuity policy to customers in advance. This can be done on the menu, on a sign at the entrance of the restaurant, or verbally by the server. None of this was communicated to me beforehand nor was this noted at the time of the reservation, nor on the brunch sign nor by the server.

This is a solid option in Round Rock when you're looking for a place with decent drinks. We came here during brunch and had a great time. The pretzel is so soft and delicious. That garlic cream cheese was to die for and we ended up taking what was leftover to pair with some bagel. I would buy extra of that just to have on hand! Not pictured but definitely the star was my sister's shrimp and grits. Seriously get that if you're here for brunch I got the large portion of fish and chips, which were good, and the fries were fried to perfection. We came at a slower time but the service was not bad. Friendly but left us alone to chat. I've come here before with the dogs and the outside patio is nice and spacious and perfect if you have kids (or dogs)

Came here for lunch and had the Beer Cheese dip for an appetizer and it was absolutely delicious. It came with homemade potato chips, few slices of baguette, and roasted carrots and broccoli. Me and my husband both got the lunch pairings which were the perfect portion sizes. I wish we could've had more options like the dinner menu but it was all amazing. Service could have been a little better since it was completely dead for lunch but the food made up for it. They have a very large outside seating that was a very relaxed vibe.

    Beautiful delicious cocktails please!

I was brought here by friends and was impressed immediately at how pretty it was inside. It made me think I would love to host a birthday gathering or a baby shower or any connection with wonderful people really. We went for dinner and drinks and the drinks were off the charts. We all tried each other's and nobody was dissatisfied and we all got seconds. Cork and barrel have beautiful charcuterie boards and my only wish is that they were a little more generous though everything on them was delectable and special. I just wanted more. It's a great location and the staff was wonderful. highly recommend!

Great cocktails and apps in a nice big venue with some great design elements! We went during a non-busy period in a Saturday so we had no problem walking in to get a table. Service was quick and prompt too. I love a good cocktail and this place delivered. We had 2 different appetizers: the nosh charcuterie board and the pork belly with fried cheese. Both were good. Four star rating due to a member of our party getting a glass of wine that had a lipstick smudge ring on the glass. It was quickly fixed and the waiter apologized profusely.

We came to celebrate our anniversary and just wanted to have a fun lunch and loved it! Food was delicious and there were not many people so we had a good time, not waiting too long for our meal, and walking on the patio area with our toddler. I hope I can come back with my dogs, our neighbors had their dogs with them and it was so cute, having a nice lunch and families just having a nice time with this beautiful weather.

I went to the bar and ordered (no wait staff at the tables). I ordered the Fish-n-Chips w/ a Pearl Snap, my date had the Biggy BBQ Mac Burger with a Dragon Fruit Daiquiri. For the positives: our drinks were very good, hard to mess up a draught beer, but it was not flat & just cold enough. She absolutely loved the daiquiri, side note- she's with me so standards aren't super high. Bar staff were super helpful and attentive, patio was very chill and secluded from the other spots surrounding it. The bathroom was clean and didn't smell like vomit. Negatives: My fish and chips were below expectations. Their grease was entirely too hot and it was flash fried causing the batter to be too crispy and the fish was piping hot. The selection of cod was not good either most of the pieces were blackened meat and the chips were crinkle cut fries, a letdown. I wasn't expecting a London level plate but it was a very sad and lonely one. Her burger was loaded with BBQ sauce and her mac-n-cheese balls were fried similarly causing the same burnt batter. It wasn't the worst meal I've had at a chain beer joint, looking at you Fox and Hound, but it wasn't close to the best. The Flying Saucer has a very good bar style fish and chips plate that costs about the same but they pay attention to the details that make it better. Overall I would not recommend and I will not be going back but in a pinch it won't make you sick.

The service was enough to want me to go back hopefully for us in this area they end up somewhere close by as I know how hard it is to find good workers. Pretzels were good! Onion rings were our favorite! Their version of the Philly was just okay, was very plain with not much flavor hubby didn't even finish half. But the star of the show was the fish and chips. My son was over the moon! Couldn't even finish half of it and he wanted to haha. Sad to see they will be closing their doors but hopefully the owner has something else up his sleeve as they were onto something with this place.

The venue is clean, large open spaces, big drink menu so any beer and cocktail they got it. For me the location, how clean the inside and outside was, the fun factor is a solid 10/10. Great overall atmosphere. I will say the let down is some of the food items, it needs help. I only took pictures of the fish n chips meal but I ordered fried pickles, had a few wings, chips and dip, and egg rolls. The egg rolls are nice and crunchy, it had a corn and bean interior, nice warm with the extra crispy exterior. Good ranch dipping sauce. The wings are also good, crispy exterior nice fluffy chicken interior, it's not the best wings I've had but also not the worst. The flavor menu is a little short so you're not going to get a ton to choose from. The chips and salsa, the queso is amazing. Nice creamy, thick, cheese flavor, the salsa is nice and semi chunky. Both hold on to chips but the chips we got were ultra stale. I mean rock hard. We asked for new chips and luckily the new chips were fresh. The let down had to be the fish and chips. The batter was too thick, the batter also was still raw. The cod is nice and semi thick, still cooked all the way but since the batter was soo thick, it didn't have that crisp factor the crunchy flavor was gone, it didn't have the crispy exterior. In the pictures you'll see how thick it was. The waffle fries were ok, not the best not the worst just in the middle, still crispy but it was semi cold when we got them.
