This little gem serves FREE WINE ALL NIGHT if you happen to be a lady and if it happens to be a Thursday night! So pray tell - what do you think I did last Thursday night??? A group of 16 very hungry (and thirsty) ladies joined me on Thursday night for some of the best pizza in town! Piola's menu is vast and if you like Italian food, there is definitely something for everyone! Aside from delicious food, the service was impeccable and beyond reproach. Diego, our server, wouldn't allow a single empty wine glass to sit there for longer than a minute! Although the restaurant was packed and we were a very large group, he kept the wine coming without us having to ask. We all had pizza although the menu has a large variety of pasta dishes to choose from. You can get a whole wheat crust for an additional dollar or so which is great for all us health nuts. You can also customize any pizza to your liking. At the end of the evening, it started to storm really badly, so a few of us couldn't leave. The manager, Giampiero, was so gracious and accommodating. There was a large party coming in but in no way was he going to ask us to get up and leave. Instead, he arranged a cozy little spot on the side where we could enjoy our wine while we waited for the rain to subside. FYI, even then, when we were done and just waiting to make a run for it, Diego kept coming by to make sure we were OK and to offer us more wine. Customer service first !!!!! My kids were starving and I was on my way home and were craving a pizza. I stopped in and asked if they were open. The Truth is it was closed! Their ovens were off and the manager and staff said no problem we will make you what you want. They made me a half cheese half pepperoni pizza that was absolutely delicious. The manager and staff were friendly and so accommodating. It was late and they could have just said sorry we are closed!!! What a great neighborhood friendly establishment. Went on a Thursday night. Food: Pizza was a 5 star, delish. We got a cheese for the girls and they ate it all. Another pizza was ricotta, arugula and tomatoes. It was absolutely delicious. I got the gnocchi in 4 cheese sauce which was ok. It needed a bit of pear or something sweet to mix the flavors. My husband got a Cesar salad which had a bit of a twisted sweet flavor in the dressing. Not bad, but different. I wouldn't order it again thought. Finally a lasagna was good as well. Great that a few of us got free wine with our meal purchase. A nice bonus. Ambiance is fun and family friendly. It has a nice bar as well if you just want to have drinks. First, in all fairness, we would have rated them 3.5 stars, but Yelp will not do that. After discussing it with my 13 year old daughter we decided to give Piola three stars instead of four. We went on a Sunday night at 6:00 pm. Our waiter was Richard, a very friendly and attentive guy. Pizza is only served in one size, medium, so my 13 year old daughter ordered a lemonade and a cheeze pizza and I ordered an Arnold Palmer and a pepperoni, mushroom, sausage pizza. They quickly brought out some soft crusted sliced italian bread, and on the table there is freshly ground parmesian cheese, oilive oil in a bottle with a pour spout, wine vinegar, and some salt and pepper. The bread was delicious and the olive oil and parm was a great accent. The parmesian cheese was freshly ground and not waxy. Very tasty. The lemonade and Arnold Palmer were made with Piola's version of lemonade. Our waiter Richard explained they take a whole lemon, unpeeled, and blend it, then add it to the sugar and water and then filter it to remove any pieces. The lemon zest part of the lemon was a bit overpowering, and while OK it made for an odd flavored lemonade and Arnold Palmer. I was thirsty and asked for a refill. When I got my bill I was charged for two Arnold Palmers and one lemonade. Refills are not free. The pizza arrived quickly, and was a thin crust, freshly made pizza. The cheese pizza was perfect, while mine was adequate. The mushrooms were not fresh and the pepperoni is spicy salami ( they told us this prior to ordering ) and had a bit too much pepper spice. I like things spicey hot, and it was certainly good, but a bit much for pizza in my opinion. Since we ordered two pizza's we ate half of each and boxed the rest to take home. I ordered a tiramisu for dessert and they brought out an ample portion for two. I am picky about my tiramisu and judge an Italian restaurant by it. This was sheet cake made dessert. The liquour and sweet chocoalte / coffee flavoring had made it to the bottom of the pan, and the ladyfingers were saturated. The cream and cocoa on top were fine, but a good tiramisu is made "on the fly" and not in a premade sheet. It was $7.00 but I would not order it again. The total bill with tip for two medium pizzas, two drinks and a tiramisu dessert was $65.00 . We went on a Sunday night at prime time. Service was very good and I left a 20% tip, but $65.00 seemed like a bit much. We were told that on Monday - Thursday from 5 - 6 pm pizzas are $6.00 AND 6 - 7 pm they are $7.00 each for any pizza. I would absolutely go back during the week and order pizza to go at that price. EDIT 7/26/17 Returned today at 4:55 pm to order a to go pizza, but discovered the server had made a mistake. From 4-5pm pizza is $6 and from 5-6pm pizza is $7 for eat in only. Overall a good experience for what we had, service was excellent, and the pizza that we came for very good. The ambience is nice and staff was friendly. This restaurant has a full bar which is always a plus. The services was very quick and good came out right away although it was a busy Friday night. I ordered a caprese salad .. it was very fresh but it was completely plain. I had to add my own salt, balsamic vinegar, and oil that was on the table. I think for $9 it should have seasoned and prepared before serving. We ordered a marguerita pizza and it was truly perfect. Thin, fresh, and delicious. I ordered the pizza with light tomato sauce and it's exactly what I received . My five year old couldn't stop raving about the food. We ended up having dessert. It was amazing! Coppa piola is the way to go!! Wow!! We were basically fighting over the last bite. This is our favourite local pizza place. I'm originally from Spain so it's been hard ever since I moved to the US to find pizza that's actually on par with the one I left behind at home. Piola delivers that. Their cheese blend is amazing. I usually order the diavola pizza with Italian salami and pepperoni and unlike most pepperoni pizza you have here it's actually flavourful. However they do do a lot of different types of pizza (mainly thin crust) with and without tomato sauce and so there's something for everyone. I've had pasta here before I personally thought it could be better but that's not the main focus of the place. Great place to order from and if you're dining in they have great deals during the week at given times for sub 10$ pizza. Though the pizza is pretty reasonably priced outside of that too. read more

This place was recommended to me by several people to my girlfriend and I, so naturally we had high hopes. The wait wasn't long for 2 on a Friday night so that was nice. But overall our experience was less than admirable. We received no bread while everyone else did (we noticed at the end) the bruschetta was the worst I have ever tried, it was just a bunch of smashed tomatoes on top of a piece of bread, very bland, no seasoning or vinaigrette added to it. We ended up ordering the lubiana pizza with tomato sauce and it was pretty good but we ate it without any plates... we asked our waiter for some but by the time he came back to check on the table (without plates in hand) we were finished :( I'm sure the place was understaffed but it was our first time and it wasn't an experience we would wanna go through again. read more
