Went in to get a couple 5 gallon buckets of decompose granite to touch up our yard. Lady at the front desk was very helpful. Showed me all the product to match up our types of rock. Ended up they gave us the two buckets full for free and helped us to load the buckets and put them in the car. Great customer service Any landscaping product you would possibly need at a good price. Absolutely terrible customer service... Order 4T gravel on 4/1 with an expected delivery date of 4/9 between 8a-12p. I took the day off to be available for the delivery. By 1130a nothing so I called. I was told the driver would be arriving in 30-45min. At 1215p the driver calls to tell me he's just now loading up to leave the yard and will be there in 45min. That's 1p now and 5hrs wasted standing around. I called to cancel the order and requested a full refund. 12 days later still NO refund so I had to call back in. I was told that the refund got "hung up" and needed to be "pushed through" but they could not refund the delivery fee: $120. Are you kidding me, how are you not going to refund a delivery fee for a delivery you never made? I was told they would reach out to "accounting" and follow up with me. Guess what...I still haven't heard back from them and have had to dispute the charge with my credit card co. DO NOT USE these guys...!! read more

I went in as a homeowner, not as a business. I've never been here or anywhere to buy rock before. I went in and I kind of stood there for a minute before someone offered to help me. There were 3 people sitting at the desks or checkout counter. Only 1 was busy helping someone. I wasn't sure if I was supposed to walk up to them or wait to be helped. It was a little confusing. I stated I was there to buy landscaping rock and wanted some pricing. They gave me a brochure and told me they had a showroom outside with all the different types. That was it. I went outside for about 20 minutes and looked around. I decided on some rock and went back inside and waited to be helped again. The guy that helped me was really nice and helped me with any questions I had. My 4 stars comes from the lack of customer service. Not everyone that walks in and uses this place is a landscaping business. It would be nice if it was noticed when someone walks in and needs help. Otherwise, my rocks were great. The delivery was fast and the driver was super nice. I would buy again from this place if needed. read more

She quickly suggested to go back and take a sample and called her dispatch to ensure we had the correct color in stock. Extremely Worst service I have ever experienced, lady kept yelling and slamming her hands asking for my phone number even after giving it to her multiple times. Then I raise my voice to give the same attitude back but I'm the one they tell to calm down, let that make sense. Had to buy half a ton of dirt and when I go scale out they said they gave me 1.8 tons, I've done this for many years and so I know what 1.8 tons looks like. Week before I came here and bought 2 tons and it did not look anything at all to 1.8, went inside to tell the guy and he said it was correct. I told him if he wanted to I would detach my trailer so he can see how much he's actually giving me and then he switched up and said he can give me the money back for overcharging me. I said no go ahead and kept the money you stole and buy yourself and the lady some breakfast. Leave your personal problems at home if not why bother coming into work. read more

I've been going here for the last 10 years now every time I've needed rocks for my yard. They always have what I need. The prices are fantastic. As I only purchase a few hundred pounds at a time I haul them in my car and then make a couple trips. I live close by so it's very convenient. Just make sure to bring your own buckets if that's what you plan on doing and don't have a truck that you can get dirty. Go see Sabas, he'll take care of you. read more

I went to the Pioneer store on Guadalupe this past Friday to buy pavers that would match The Belgard 3 pavers I already had in the ground. I showed the cashier/sales person a picture of what I needed. He told me They were out of stock in the valley, but he had some others (Cambridge Rio 3) that we're just like them. So, going on his word I had my contractor buy them on Saturday. Well, they are nothing like what I already had and now Will need to tear them out and start over. I recently purchased landscaping rock from Pioneer. From start to finish I had a great experience. James at the landscape center was extremely helpful. He helped me select the correct materials. He also gave me a tour of other materials the company has for another project I mentioned. He showed me all the options including pricing. He also gave me some ideas about installation. He is a very valuable resource and even thanked me for my order with a free lunch. When delivery day arrived the driver Lucas called ahead and provided the exact time he would arrive. Lucas the derives was very professional and friendly. He double checked order accuracy and showed us a sample. When it came time to dump he had a very tight spot and did a perfect job within a literal inch of where we wanted which is very impressive with a large truck and load of rock.
