My experience with this Door and Trim Store was exhausting. It was so many issues with them. It's hard to figure out where to start. They sell you products that their not familiar with, and will not replace anything after the fact. If you order anything from the store, make sure you double check it when you get it before you install it because they take no responsibility or fault for missing items on products. The doors were good, but the biggest issue I had was with their pocket door and barn door. I asked them about a pocket door that would extend across a certain size opening. They said they had two panel pocket doors, which I thought was a great idea. Well, the pocket door came without some hardware, and after 2-3 trips back to the store, we kept receiving the incorrect hardware, and we ended up paying for this incorrect hardware because they would not give it to us as part of the purchase. In order to make a long story short, the installer they requested, kept reminding us that we did not have all the hardware for the install. Currently, I have a two pane pocket door that is not secure. You need two hands to extend it out, and you can look in behind it and see all the dust and debris from the installation. They provided nothing that would shield you from seeing inside of the pocket door when it was open. Use them if you like, but just be aware that there are no refunds, and double check that you have all your hardware and pieces for any type of installation. We even ordered a barn door that was missing some screws for installation. read more

I ordered interior doors and I was asked to pay for them in full before I got the doors. Two weeks later I went to pick up the doors and it came with a frame. I told the salesman that I didn't want or need or order the frames I also said I ordered handles for the doors but he said that was not included. I told him to refund me the frames and get me a price on the handles. He told me the handles were the same price as the frames (hard to believe) I asked for a refund for the frames and they said all orders were final and no refunds are issued. They have terrible customer service UPDATE. After several bad reviews written on multiple sites I got a refund but the quality of the doors are not worth the money read more

Jan 30, 2020 My 2nd time visiting the Door & Trim Store. I had stopped in several months ago to look over some trim for when we installed our new wood flooring. Everyone was helpful the first time I went in, so I decided to come back. The first time I went in they spent about 20 minutes explaining options, materials, pricing, corner pieces etc I arrived today and was immediately greeted by 2 store employees. I let them know which trim I wanted and the quantity. The prices are much lower than what Home Depot & Lowes want for the same thing. The ordering process was very quick and easy. I needed delivery because the trim pieces were 17ft long. They quoted a delivery charge of $65. This was quite reasonable in my opinion considering I live about 22 miles away, and how quickly they could deliver. The delivery was scheduled for the very next day. The important part for me was due to the pieces being 17ft I won't need to join together as many cuts on my longer walls. Less joining means seamless lengths. I received a phone call the next morning indicating delivery would occur in the next 1/2 hour. The driver arrived and unloaded the trim. I noticed several pieces were damaged and noted it on the delivery signature sheet. The driver indicated to call the office and they would assist me. By the time I got a chance to call them they were calling me to have some pictures sent over so they could evaluate the damage. They let me know a few minutes later they would replace the pieces and bring them by that afternoon. The replacement pieces were dropped off as indicated. Overall a very good experience with them, and very satisfied with their resolution so quickly on damaged pieces. I will use them again if we replace out more. The store had a few cases of trim examples, quite a few doors to choose from, and accessories. Everyone was friendly. read more

We were told they had the trim we wanted in stock. Bill Chase wrote down the code and entered it into the computer and printed out my receipt. Bought and payed for. My contractor picked it up and installed it. I am not living in the house yet so I didnt see it. Sales person forgot to place door on order. Had to make a few calls to get them to admit it. Also ordered two other French Doors to replace sliders. Both doors did not fit and were not made to the specification sizes provided by the contractor. First French Door was not even a French Door frame....was two separate doors. Had to return them and request correct frame for French Doors. Absolutely the worst customer service! I ordered corners for my baseboards and unfortunately not all of them worked due to my builder pulling some tricks. I called the store to see if I could return the ones I couldn't use. Tobin answered and we discussed my situation. He did not give me a straight answer on whether they would do anything but did tell me to come in to the store to talk about it. I explained to him that I did not live close to the store and asked if he would be at the store. He said he was heading out on a delivery so I asked if there was someone else I could talk too. Tobin stated that because it was Friday, there may or may not be someone at the store but I could try. I headed straight to the store and there was a gentleman there who I explained my situation too. He said he needed to ask Tobin (who wasn't supposed to be there) and he came back and said they would not help me. Why would you make someone drive across town if you knew you weren't going to help? I stand behind my original review. The sales rep did in fact promised me 7 to 10 days. He never told me there was a chance it would be 6 to eight weeks out. If he had I would have gone with the store that told me they got their items from Houston and it would take two weeks. He actually told me he would probably have the door in less than five days. Then they would need to make the door jam. You need to teach your sales reps to be more truthful upfront not to just try and get the sale. read more

Do NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM!!! They are the MOST DISHONEST THIEVES. We went in to purchase 5 solid wood doors with 5 panel design and were instead delivered 6 panel doors. When discussing the issue with Peter our salesman, he stated that while the invoice stated 5 panel doors, due to the 8 foot size, they had to add an additional panel. Rather than discussing this, they went ahead and sent the doors and refuse to exchange or return the doors. Even discussed with the owner. The owner refused to return the doors and stated that they would only give us new doors for the wholesale price, we are stuck with the other doors. What?!? They are the ones that made the mistake/change unbeknownst to us! We will be taking them to small claims court. Please do not use them for ANYTHING, you will regret it and make a very costly decision. Response to business owner: Thank you for responding with professionalism, unlike your sales associate. We do wish that you would have attempted to resolve this before a review was sent as well as complaint. As you well know, you sent us doors that specifically were not ordered (as written on the invoice). We were not just dissatisfied, we were misled and lied to. We notified Peter first thing in the morning, which was on a Friday. He told us he spoke with you and on Monday morning, 3 days later, told us that you refused to refund or exchange the order. This was the unfortunate reason for poor review and business complaint, after which you appeared to take action and only because of that. Trying to give off the illusion we are in the wrong is no way to do business. Ethics and standards flew out the door with your company and shame on us for trusting you to do the right thing. Your "in store credit" is useless as we would be complete fools to step back in to your store again. I bought baseboard and door trim for my entire house from the this place. They estimated how much I would need and said I could return what I didn't use. I ended up having 15 extra pieces (over 225 feet) of extra baseboard. When I went to return it, they claimed it wasn't a produce they "stocked" and wouldn't accept the return. No wonder the place looks shuttered, bad business practices. Go to Discount Door and Trim or somewhere else for your door and trim needs. read more

We are remodeling our home and my wife and I were at a store looking at appliances during the time our baseboards were being delivered from The Door & Trim Store. We needed measurements from our existing cabinets to see if a particular microwave was going to fit and I had Tobin's (the delivery guy from The Door & Trim Store's) phone number from the phone call/text message that he left me to inform me of the delivery time. I called Tobin to see if he happened to be at our house (he was) and asked him the favor of getting the measurements we needed. He was more than happy to do so, and we were able to confidently buy the microwave (drawer-style) which happened to be the last one on the shelf (and it fit perfectly...Tobin took very accurate measurements). As far as I know, this "ask" was not at all in his job description, yet he did it with a smile that I could hear over the phone. This was just the highlight of what had been a positive in-store experience with Corey in choosing our baseboards and door casings. Side note - My wife and I recently decided to also change out all of our interior doors, and there is no other company we are looking to trust with the door selection and install of the doors themselves. The Door and Trim Store has a GREAT selection and prices that are FAR less than Home Depot and Lowes (we priced it out at each one). Michael was super helpful and even gave us some samples to take home so we could make sure the size and style we liked in the store actually looked good against our floors/walls....the big box stores won't provide that level of customer service!
