Gel manicure already chipping in 1 day
    Nandini H.

It's a nice nail salon, pretty busy on a weekend. The owner is pretty hands on and tried to manage everything efficiently. I got my old set removed and got a regular gel manicure which cost nearly $60 with tips but it already started to chip away a bit by evening and I didn't even do much with my hands right after. Gel manicure usually lasts me a month but I'm not sure about this one as of now. I would definitely visit if it weren't so expensive for a mediocre manicure.

Always so nice and polite. I've been coming on and off for years and they tend to always be the ones I fall back on going too

This place was AWESOME! Kind, quick, professional staff. The place was clean, free mimosa with service, no pressure to do or get anything. I loved this place and would come back. My nails feel very clean and look sooooo cute!

The two stars is for the salon itself being very nice looking, with good music and mostly nice staff. I wanted to try a different salon for my birthday refill so I called and was told I could come in after 20 mins. I went in and waited for just a few mins and was sat down quickly. I could see the steady flow of women coming in, and I could hear the technicians nervously giggle at this because there were more of us than there were of them. In fact, some girls would be sat down, worked on for a few and the left for a while, halfway done. My first technician was an older lady. She is the one that filed away my old polish. She fucked me up good! Just filing away nail polish she nicked me several times. Then she left for a while. Eventually another technician came in named Vee, and she gave me a very small sample of OPI colors available. I saw more samples floating around so I didn't want to be forced to choose something I didn't want (funny, this didn't work out for me...keep reading). Vee came back and I asked her for more colors, which she provided. She was very nice and sweet throughout. I asked her if she could do some designs. She didn't say no, she just didn't speak English (I think she spoke to the other technician next to us). I showed her what I would like (a half moon and some stars). She nervously laughed and said something I didn't quite catch. Masks make understanding super hard! I chose my colors, she started filing and my nails began really hurting. This is somewhat normal for me as I have sensitive nail beds (why I only get my nails done 2x a year)...after she nicked me a few more times, she applied the primer and my pinkies were inflamed with pain. Never have I ever. I wanted to cry. I asked her if it was normal and she explained sometimes it was. She kept being gentle while working on my nails, but damn, hours later they still hurt. I chose a very pretty glitter color for my accent nails and she moved me to her station. After applying it, she kept saying, no design right?? Um no? I did come in for that but whatever, so she said, I will paint them first. Cool. After, she kept repeating, no design right? And laughing. I showed her what I wanted. She said no. I modified it to a very simple design...she said no. She kept grabbing my hand in a tender way, but kept saying no and laughing. I just gave up. She finished, praised me a lot, thanked me a lot, told me to come back a different day for her "friend" who does designs and gave me my receipt. I understand some people just aren't comfortable with complicated designs but I just wanted a simple half moon, and a few stars. Not only that, my nails are sharp, jagged, unfinished and I've had to order nail design stickers to finish my birthday nails because she wouldn't ask anyone else to do a quick design. Meanwhile the gal next to me got glitter and rhinestones. My mistake for trying a new place, I will stick with Tulip in Sumner. Also, they're in Puyallup, not Edgewood.

First time getting nails done here.

I've been here about three times for my nails. Each time they were nice and promptly got me in even though I wasn't previously scheduled. My acrylic nails lasted and stayed on strong. I've worked with the nail tech I think his name was Don the first time and he did amazing. Second time was with VEE & recently with Maya & Jimmy. Jimmy is very on top of it always offering beverages to me when I come in and asking if I was happy with the nails. The salon itself is newer and big. When I went in recently they had some aromatic candles burning which was nice. While my daughter went somewhere else a few times for her acrylics, she started seeing hers pop off which was something I haven't had happen with nails from this salon. I'll definitely be coming here for all of my nail needs

    PERFECTION!

Will say that my top favorite artist was Cathy and Lynn I didn't really see anybody else there during my time I had a wonderful time getting my nails done. The owner was always very kind, going above and beyond to make sure I was happy with the results. Water, tea, coffee and snacks were always available if I I love this location and always vet asked where I get my nails done. 10/10 YES!

Bottom right corner of my toe is infected

The lady doing my pedicure just did not care at all. She literally jabbed me with an instrumentation and now my toe has been red, irritated and sore for 4 days. Also, when she did the hot towel she didn't let it cool off AT ALL! She put it straight on my legs and it burnt so bad. It's like she wanted to hurt me? So strange I've never had an experience like that. The heels of my feet are still full of dry/rough skin as if I didn't even go for a pedicure...

Pedicure $45 plus shellac $15 and another $15 for French tip ! Manicure plus gel builder $75 so a grand total $150 plus tip $165 ! I can in later in the evening 6:30 for an appointment and the whole service feet and nails were rushed ! I wasn't even in the salon for an hour and they were done. I understand I came in late but if they were going to rush I NEVER ours have came. And not only that they skipped parts of my pedicure so I didn't even get a full pedicure. And don't get me started on my nails the guy that did them did it horrible. Put my hands in water and cut my nails and filed them and then put the gel builder on them. When the guy was done I noticed before walking out ALL of my nails looked chipped because he didn't do the polish right. Also he put oil on my nails to make it look like he didn't a full manicure. I told the manager and he literally just had someone put another layer of gel on my nails. I have FIVE LAYERS of gel on my nails and it looks absolutely ridiculous!! For $75 my nails should be damn near perfect but instead I have nails that's look like they are popping out of my hands. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone !!! Waste of my money and time. This place clearly just cares about money and not the quality of service!!!!

I was excited to go here with my sister to get our nails done since it was close to home. We were extremely disappointed with our service. Our nails turned out horrible! Shorter than I requested, lopsided, uneven and was definitely not worth the price we paid for. I got wine and my sister got a Mimosa and a fruit fly was in her wine glass. We told the technicians and one said hold on and the other just looked at the glass neither seemed to care nor eager to get a new drink right away which was another incident of bad service. Nice inside since it's brand new. Only reason I am giving even one star is because the lady working the front counter was very polite and sweet. Will not be returning back. I do not recommend this nail shop, don't waste your money or time.

Technician missed painting the side of my nail. When I brought it to her attention, she just filed the unpolished part of the nail off.
    Stacy S.

I paid 80 bucks for a pedicure and powder dip polish. I asked for a manicure with cuticle trim and said I'd happily pay extra but the technician didn't do it. The technician had air-buds in the entire time and barely said three words to me. There is a man that works the front desk. Maybe the owner??? He aggressively confronted me on why I didn't want to leave a tip. Well I don't leave a tip for this kind of work. The 80 bucks I paid was sufficient for the end product. The whole vibe of the women doing the work and the aggressive man collecting the money is a turn off. I will not be returning.

As I sat down I looked around and saw how beautiful it was, very clean, beautiful sparkly lights, grass walls, art work decorations on ceiling. Constant incoming groups of women coming in. I was asked if I wanted a drink and I said water. My choice was cucumber or strawberry. I opted for cucumber water which was in a tall glass. My pedicurist worked on me and gave the best massage I told her I was in heaven! She carefully worked on my feet as another woman came over to work on my hands for my manicure. Both ladies very pleasant, respectful and attentive. They took care and did a very good job on my nails and I am very pleased with the outcome. The shop provided sterilized instruments, new scrubber for my feet straight out of package not used which most shops seem to use. I am definitely returning! Fair pricing, quality services, they work clean and provide beautiful shop. Shoutout to Lihn for my pedicure and gives best massage and Mari who gave my manicure, love my nails!

Absolutely -- you can be happy with the nails and still call out that pricing. Here's a review…read morethat gets the point across without sounding unreasonable: I'm happy with how my nails turned out, so this review isn't about the quality of the work -- it's about the pricing. I got a basic hard gel fill with one solid color, no design. Two nails needed repairs, which I was charged $5 each for. Okay, fine. But then I was also charged $10 just for filing my nails?! My total came to $75 for a basic hard gel fill with a solid color. Maybe I'm missing something, but since when is filing/shaping your nails not part of a fill service? Charging an additional $10 to file nails during a fill seems excessive. At some point it feels like every normal part of getting your nails done is becoming a separate add-on charge. Again, I'm happy with how my nails look, but the pricing is honestly diabolical. I definitely recommend asking for a full price breakdown before your service so you know exactly what you're going to be charged for.

However, they did not use proper builder gel -- they used builder gel polish, which is much weaker. As a result, my nails are already bending. There are also visible bubbles throughout the gel, and they didn't fully remove the previous polish underneath. You can actually see the old polish seeping through the new set, which is unacceptable for a professional service. I paid expecting proper builder gel application and quality work, and unfortunately that's not what I received. I would not recommend if you're looking for true builder gel or long-lasting results.

I went in for a basic manicure and pedicure, and during the process, the technician pulled out a drill file. I specifically asked not to have my nails drilled, as I don't like the potential damage it can cause--especially since I was only getting regular polish. She explained that the tool was for my cuticles, not the nail surface, and asked if that was okay. Since I haven't had my nails done in about six months and am not an expert, I agreed. During the cuticle work, I did feel some discomfort and mentioned that it felt warm around my cuticles. She adjusted her pressure slightly after that, which I appreciated. However, during the next 72 hours, my nails became increasingly sensitive, especially to heat--like when washing my hair or doing dishes. After doing some research, it seems this may have been a version of a "Russian manicure." My cuticles are now very tender, and my nail beds still feel sore. Additionally, one of my nails chipped and another cracked just a few days later. I know that regular polish doesn't last as long, so I'll take some responsibility there, but I expected at least a week before any noticeable wear. On the positive side, the technician was very kind and the salon itself was clean and welcoming. That said, the discomfort and sensitivity I'm experiencing make it unlikely that I'll return. This was definitely a learning experience for me--next time, if a drill is involved in any way with cuticle care, I'll politely decline.
