The entire play structure and swings are in the beating sun 100% of the time. Today was a very mild 75 degree early summer day and we went early around 10:45. Within 30 minutes of arrival, the slides were so hot our almost 2 y/o son physically reacted every time he touched them. The park is in a very nice and quiet residential area. There's nothing but street parking, but the streets are wide and not busy. The grounds were very clean and well kept. The bathrooms even had soap AND paper towels - yay! Like others said, this structure is mostly appropriate for a toddler as young as ours. He even did ok on the winding slide. Some slides are so steep that he falls forward even though they're supposed to be geared at toddlers, but all 3 slides here were fine for him. However, the only way to get up are monkey bar-like stairs (skinny metal bars) that no toddler can safely use, then the other side has stairs. The stairs are way too far apart for a young one to do alone. He either had to crawl or we held his hands while he took giant steps lol. If you get bored at this park, there are 2 more within ~5 blocks or less heading west! They're off the same street, too. Just go to the north of the block north of the park and take a left and you'll see 2 others fairly quickly. We'll definitely be back because of how clean and safe it felt.

There's a decent amount of parking, but I would imagine it fills up during peak times. There's a couple of trails and we chose the one that meandered along the river. There were a couple places where people had stopped to fish as well. I think there's a waterfall, but we didn't go that far. It was pretty cloudy when we visited, but I don't think there would be a lot of shade on the trails when the sun is out. Still a pretty nice hike!

No Adventure Pass needed. Parking is free, marked by sizeable signage saying El Encanto. It's the remnant of a restaurant built in the 1920's that ceased operations about 20 years ago. A well-maintained trail curves gently down the canyon. On the descending path, you'll be accompanied by the bubbling river, lofty mountain views, and in typical LA fashion, colorful graffiti. It's an easy 2 mile hike round-trip with moderate elevation change. Though it says no river access at the trailhead, you'll actually end up right next to the river for the latter portion of the hike. The trail ends in a quiet oasis, sleek gray stones of assorted shapes and sizes protruding above the water like a floating zen garden. The Azusa Wilderness Park is still in its nascent stages of development by the Watershed Conservation Authority, a local public entity dedicated to planning and maintaining open spaces. Expanded trails, dining services, and interactive nature experiences are part of the plan. Exciting as all that is, for the moment, simplicity also carries its own tranquil charm.

Other than folks mistakenly referring to it as 'Finkbinder', we love our local G-town park…read more I think the additional 'd' might come from an old 50's themed restaurant in the Village called Fender Benders (sp?), which closed many years ago - and folks confusing the two. But, that said, only old Glendorans would be making that mistake and yet I hear folks of all ages add the 'd'. The park has lots of amenities we've used since our kids were born and even before... - summer concerts and movies in the park - birthday or event areas (Scouting) - playground - tennis court (other side taken by pickleball :( - skate park - sports fields - horseshoes - volleyball - community center And more. We love walking through the park on the way to the Village. If you haven't been, worth checking out pretty much any day of the week. So many fond memories created at Finkbiner. Even Pokémon Go events, haha.

This park is definitely a nice little refuge from the hustle and bustle of our little town and I highly recommend this place for your summer activities.
