I think they are competent. Long waits for appts. $222. for ten minutes. Offered optional treatment. Felt odd.

NO AIR CONDITIONING FOR THE PATIENTS IN THE WAITING ROOM - WHICH IS TOTALLY OK WITH THEM, BUT PLENTY IN ALL THE OFFICES. I thought PA Blair was a female, found out at the last minute, he wasn't. I had waited almost a year for this appointment, and I had a concerning growth on my forehead for about 6 mos. at that point, I have had skin cancer in the past so I knew I needed to go through with this apppointment. I also have sexual abuse history - which they never asked about - but I believe all dermatology offices should. Anyway, was NOT a good experience, he was NOT a good experience. I'd stay away from him if you are female. I have filed a formal complaint dt the nature of the circumstances due to them refusing to do anything about it after I brought it to a female doctor's attention and the office manager. read more

I am 30 years old and this is the first bad review I have ever given. I went to get a baseline check up and a screening. I paid $40 co pay sat for 35 minutes all of which is totally fine but then dr Blair no joke checked me out for not even 30 seconds not exaggerating.. and said your fine I'm not going to screen you either "because I'm too young" and walked out. Now I have to schedule another appointment somewhere else. Do not go here if you value your health, time or money. read more

Saw Dr. Horowitz for the first time as the PA I normally see was booking out a ways. I believe Dr. Horowitz is fairly new to the practice. I had a great experience and was given prescriptions to mix and apply to some of my spots. He also took a biopsy of a spot on my ear to have it analyzed. Told me that they would call me in two weeks if the test came back as pre cancer. A very pleasant staff member called me to tell me to book another appointment because I needed to have surgery. I was at the cape on vacation ( wore a hat and used 30 lotion) and I was able to book an appointment immediately on my return .Surgery is today. The staff have always been very pleasant and helpful. I usually deal with Blair the PA and he has always been very professional and thorough. I'm afraid I'm not very diligent in my keeping the sun off my skin and using sunscreen much to Blair's chagrin . I also thought Blair was a girl's name ( probably from watching too many "Boy meets Girl" episodes where the female star was named Blair") I believe his picture is on the website. Before you read this, feel free to see the other yelp reviews I have given. I am not prone to write bad reviews. That being said, I would not go to this facility or Dr again. Biggest issue was billing, 2 weeks prior to my appt, I filled out and sent in my insurance information as requested (still not sure why we don't just do this at the office). Day of appt, they asked for a $30 co-pay, which I paid as usual. Dr. Maerowitz spent 10 minutes doing a visual exam- and I was out. Two weeks later I get a bill for $412.42! It is at this point they inform me they are not in my network. Not once did they tell me in advance that this was the case, and I could have decided if I wanted to continue with the appointment or sought another provider. Oh, and my primary health provider that is in network referred me to them. Should you choose to ignore my review and proceed with this provider, check to see if they are in your network and get it in writing. PS: He also has very cold hands read more

Seemed like an unhappy ship, office staff included. The doctor is not available for months, see the PA (in a few weeks). Not impressed by the PA: "Why is your skin so dry?". Well, that's what I came here to find out, dude! "Here, have a prescription"; it took a while but I guess it worked - or maybe it was a change in the weather? Had to come in 15 minutes early to do five minutes of paperwork. That makes sense but waiting 20 minutes past appt time wasnt so great. Apparently there was an emergency biopsy so it was just bad timing on my part? This place was constantly busy and i was not sure about peoples appts but all said i got a prescription that worked and im satisfied with that. read more

Blair maerowitz PA Is the nicest guy I ever had the pleasure to see treated me and my daughter with respect and took the time to explain stuff to us we traveled 1.3 hrs to see him and he did took great care of us and the staff there are always pleasant I will recommend him to anyone who is looking for a great place he is a very caring man and now a days that's something special. Doctor Wyatt is the most sketchy doctor I have ever met. It does not seem like he knows what he is doing but he is all talk. He convinced me that my surgery would be minor but I ended up with severe complications post surgery. He didn't even know what the problem with me was and kept on prescribing me narcotics as painkillers. I was in severe pain for a whole month. He kept on saying that he doesn't know the cause of the pain. Ultimately I had to see another local doctor who said the surgery that he had performed impacted my nerves & finally diagnosed the cause of the pain and also a possible solution. I had to start physical therapy just to be able to regain mobility in my limb. Please don't go to dr Wyatt. He has no idea about what he is doing and did not have the capability to deal with my post surgery complications. read more

I found the stuff here to be friendly and helpful and the Dr to be knowledgeable and helpful. He went the extra step of consulting with another Dr and getting the necessary information to me so I could move ahead with solving my problem.. read more

This visit was a bit of a disaster. First off, I will admit that I was 7 minutes late to my appointment... which apparently meant that I had to wait an extra hour in the waiting room. After finishing the paperwork in a couple minutes I watched an entire waiting room go in and out before I finally went up and asked how long they thought it would be (they hadn't said anything to me the whole time I'd been waiting.) the woman, although nice about it, didn't know how long it would be. Finally one of Dr. Wyatt's assistants came out to get me. She didn't smile once, barely any greeting. When she saw my paperwork she asked me what I had said when I called to make the appointment because they had me down as taking a look at a mole instead of having the procedure to get it removed. I told her my mom had made the appointment because I have school so i usually cant call during business hours and I am still under her insurance but that she would, I'm sure, have said when she scheduled it that I was going to have it removed. The assistant said to me (in a pretty rude and condescending way) "that's why we recommend patients make their own appointments, so that you are asking for the right thing" she then looked at my chart and said "your what, 20, so you should be making your own appointments" She then told me that the appointment I had would not be long enough to do the procedure (after I had waited an hour and paid the co payment). I told her that I had been waiting for an hour already and she said "we'll you were 10 minutes late and then had to do paperwork, so we had to move on to the next patient" even though I was 7 minutes late and it did not take more than 2 minutes to fill out that paperwork. Finally the doctor came in and took a quick look, confirmed what they were going to do and just took it off. Dr. wyatt was all business and didn't really say much to me. He did a good job though, painless and quick. An hour wait, a condescending and just rude assistant, and a cold doctor, I can confidently say I will be looking for a new dermatologist. read more

Honestly i have been thrilled with how quickly they accomodate my patients when there are concerns and they take a lot of time with them. Dr Wyatt and Michael Brown are both first rate clinicians who truly care. read more

I saw Michael Brown , he saved my life. He biopsied a mole ( He was my second opinion Doc) and it was Melanoma . He did an amazing job explaining everything and was SO nice! He scheduled my surgery with Dr. Arenus for my wide excision and sentinel lymph node biopsies. Michael is very thorough and I told all my friends to see him. I will see him every 6 months for the rest of my life-I'm 33! read more

Years after a poor screening here with a PA, I returned and met directly with Dr. Wyatt, who did an excellent screening. He was terrific, so I've changed my mind about not recommending this practice. This time I had an excellent experience. read more

The absolute worst experience I have ever but all my hair is being treated for my skin condition, I had at this office. The physician assistant VictoriaIs is the absolute worst dr I've ever experienced . Victoria, came in and told me that I had the worst case she's ever seen which made me feel horrible about myself. Having a skin condition is already hard enough then to go to your doctor and have her tell you that it's the worst condition that she's ever seen and she doesn't know how I've lasted this long etc. etc. was very hard to deal with. And after going for a year, I am now being told that my insurance doesn't cover the treatment I need. They continued to tell me that they've sent me bills which is not true I've never received a bill from this office but they continue to tell me that it's my responsibility to check to make sure that all the treatments are being covered by the insurance after they originally had said it would. I have gone several times and each time I've been to the office nobody ever mentioned or told me that I was going to have a bill that I had a bill that my insurance didn't cover it only now a year later hundreds of dollars later are they telling me that it's not being covered and it's my responsibility to make sure that the treatments that I need are covered by my insurance . I will never go back to this office and I will make sure to tell everyone that I know how poorly they handle their customer service skills with their clients read more

Very frustrating experience....upon entering the exam room I felt completely dismissed by Dr. W due to my summer tan....it is summer and yes I use sunscreen...after he checked out arms and back, he quickly advised I was "good for 10 years". He left the room; while I was dressing he reentered the room....no apology for my 1/2 dressed state; he then said he noticed on the chart that I had mentioned concerns about my Rosacea. He then checked my face and suggested that I receive 4 laser treatments for $400 each to clear this up. I responded that since he didn't notice my problem during his initial exam, it was probably not as urgent as he was now suggesting!! I will find a Dr. that truly cares. read more

I've had several appointments here with Dr. Michael Brown and found him and everyone else I interacted with to be outstanding in their work and their service. Reception staff were both friendly and competent, and Dr. Brown was very thorough while still being accessible and down to earth. What really stood out was attention to detail. I had seen a different dermatologist previously for the same issues, and where she would only glance at a mole, he would take out a magnifying glass and calipers and note a measurement. Where she would poke at dry skin on my foot, he would scrape it with a razor and look at it under a microscope. Waiting area and treatment rooms were clean and comfortable and stocked with decent reading material. While nothing they did was really heroically above and beyond the call of duty, it is really rare to find any sort of medical provider get this many things right. read more

went in to have a suspicious mole looked at (my pcp recommended this). also requested full body check, as i've worked outside my whole life and had a lot of sun exposure. office staff was fine, nurse/assistant was fine, but dr. wyatt was cold and impersonal and VERY brief. barely glanced at my mole, hardly checked my scalp/hairline, very little attention to detail. gave me handouts from a filing cabinet rather than discussing my condition/potential questions. total doctor visit less than 10 minutes. felt like i was on an assembly line. i did not need any further procedures, so can't comment on that, but based on my initial meeting with dr. wyatt i will be looking for another dermatologist. he may or may not be a good clinician, but his disinterested personality and hurried demeanor left me feeling uncared for. i am interested to see how much i/my insurance will be charged for this visit. read more
