Brady's Run Veterinary Hospital - Piper Lola

I had a 11 year old Boxer named Piper Lola and brought her to this hospital to be treated. In my…read morehonest opinion I felt the staff and doctor were all very professional and respectful. I had to euthanize my girl and they walked us through every step while allowing us time to process them before moving on it. The entire staff that we engaged with were compassionate empathetic patient and gentle. It was a hard blow to lose my girl but I knew I was doing the right thing. She was surrounded by the family she loved most. The actual process was seamless. The immediate grief we all felt when her little heart stopped will forever be imprinted on my heart. The staff allowed us to grieve w/o rushing us. The procedure cost itself was based off her weight (89 lbs) so it was $100. Her hooman dad, her aunt Lisa, and myself (her #1 hooman/momma) all agree wholeheartedly that this staff met us at our level of grieving while feeling the weight of it and wholesomely embraced us. I cannot say thank you enough (((bigwarmhugs)))

MY DOG WAS KILLED! DO NOT BRING YOUR PETS HERE! My family's…read more10-year-old dog was taken to Brady's Run. She was an otherwise healthy and active dog, but had just been diagnosed with early stages of Congestive Heart Failure at her visit. She was given a life expectancy of a year or more and was sent home with oral Lasix. However, before she left the veterinary hospital she also received an injection of Lasix. Within 90 minutes she was gasping for air, turned blue, and died. (Lasix is a common diuretic and in extremely rare cases where it leads to death, the death is caused by dehydration and does not resemble anaphylaxis). When Dr. Kendrew, owner of Brady's Run Veterinary Hospital, was questioned he came up with a series of, in my opinion, unconvincing lies. Contrary to the life expectancy he had just given her, he blamed her death on her advanced medical condition. Untruths and negligence appear to run rampant at the hospital. I strongly believe his vet tech administered the incorrect medication, resulting in the swift and traumatic death of my dog. I caution all who read this not to take their pets to Brady's Run. It is not safe there.

Calling to…read moredetermine if I needed to bring my dog in was easy and I was able to get an appointment pretty quick. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful. Both the tech and doctor were absolutely amazing with my dog. You could tell they truly loved dogs and their jobs. I was given all the options and not pressured into anything. I chose to do the testing just to be certain. Thankfully, there was nothing major wrong with my dog and we were prescribed some meds to support him while he got better. It seemed to be the best experience you could have when having to take your pet in for an emergency. Hopefully, I don't ever have an another emergency, but I am relieved to know I have a nice place close by to take him if I have to. Dr. Braun was amazing. She was genuine, patient, friendly, and it was obvious being a vet was her true calling! She gave me her thoughts and told me my options but didn't pressure me into anything. I felt confident that I could trust her opinion. The tech we started with was also super friendly and caring! I wish I could remember her name. She attentively listened to me rattle off everything I could think of and was awesome with Finn. I was happy with absolutely everyone we interacted with from start to finish. Everyone was GENUINELY friendly.

1 STAR - I left feeling like this place cares more about collecting your money than keeping a…read morecustomer or addressing legitimate concerns. On 08/20/2026, I rushed my cat KitKat here because his ear was beginning to swell. My regular vet couldn't see him until 09/17 and recommended Rainbow. I was grateful they got us in immediately. I was told we caught the problem early, that draining was not necessary, and that medication and cleaning should bring the swelling down. That first visit cost $313.66, which I paid without complaint. Unfortunately, his ear continued swelling until it completely ballooned. I returned on 09/11/2026 and was given the choice of draining it or surgery. I specifically asked about cost. The veterinarian told me surgery was around $740 and bloodwork would be another $100. I chose surgery because I wanted KitKat taken care of properly. Surgery wasn't expected until around 9 PM and I live over an hour away, so I asked if he could stay overnight. I was told the initial overnight stay would not cost extra, and I double-confirmed that with my partner standing there. I later CHOSE to keep him additional time through Sunday and understood those additional boarding charges would be mine. I have never disputed that. Minutes later, a tech brought me an estimate for $1,085. I immediately questioned why it was so much higher than the approximately $840 I had just been told. I was told several estimated charges would actually be lower, I wouldn't need to pay for an E-collar because I brought my own, and I should receive money back. I paid the $1,085 deposit. Then the numbers continued changing. On 09/12, Rainbow texted me that my running total was $974.70. Later I received another total of $1,039.32. KitKat was also treated for tapeworms for about another $22. My final bill on 09/13/2026 was $1,082.92. My refund from the $1,085 deposit? $2.08. My problem is NOT that I cannot afford another $50 or $100. Between $313.66 on 08/20 and $1,082.92 for this treatment, I spent $1,396.58 here in less than a month. My problem is being told around $840, then seeing $1,085, then $974.70, then $1,039.32, and finally $1,082.92. What really ruined this place for me was what happened when I questioned it. Instead of someone calmly explaining the differences, I felt like I was met with attitude and dismissed. When I brought it up again at pickup and said I would be reviewing my experience, they seemed completely unconcerned. I was told they could print KitKat's records so my regular vet could remove his stitches. I had to point out that I already paid Rainbow for his follow-up care and intended to return for it. That interaction told me everything. Once they had my money, I did not feel like keeping me as a customer, answering my concerns, or rebuilding my trust mattered. It genuinely left me feeling like the money mattered more to them than the relationship with the pet owner. Some of the staff caring for KitKat were kind and sent good updates, and I appreciate them. But that does not erase inconsistent pricing, poor communication, and the treatment I received simply for questioning my bill. I have the estimates, invoices, text messages, medical records, and documentation of these interactions. Also, pet owners should compare medication prices instead of automatically purchasing everything through a veterinary hospital. I use CanadaPetCare.com for many common pet products because the prices can be considerably cheaper. I cannot recommend Rainbow Veterinary Hospital based on my experience. Clear pricing and basic respect should not be too much to ask when someone is already worried about their pet.

Our regular vets at…read moreBelacoop couldn't see us for two weeks unless we were willing to pay a $125 dollar emergency fee. VCA scheduled us the very next day. The X-ray told the whole story about the cat's condition. Dr. Maria Santabene walked me through the prognosis and I made the painful decision to end T.C. Greyson's suffering. The staff was very compassionate and helpful at every step in the process. TC went peacefully and I opted to bring him home to rest near the garden shed in the shade of a tree. VCA provided a very nice bio-degradable bag. Dr. Santabene is not only a rare gem but she is our new vet and our remaining two cats are in good hands.

I took my cat Nika to VCA Wexford Animal Hospital two times. I made an appointment for a…read morenew-patient exam, and then I made an appointment with a vet tech for blood tests. I would prefer that this animal hospital have more evening and weekend hours, but we did get evening or Friday appointments that worked for us. For both appointments, the front staff quickly checked us in, and we used the separate waiting area for cats. The vet techs started our appointments on time. I appreciated that they had familiarized themselves with my cat's previous medical records. For the first appointment, the veterinarian arrived several minutes late, but she was very knowledgeable and nice (even after my cat when being palpated peed on the table!). She did a physical exam on Nika, and we discussed Nika's history of kidney disease, hyperthyroidism, anemia, and UTIs. The vet said that many kidney-disease cats need longer than 2 weeks of antibiotics, which is true and something that my previous veterinarians never said. She recommended a supplement to prevent UTIs. Later, another veterinarian here promptly ordered a refill for a thyroid medication for Nika. Employees at the front desk promptly rang up the fees for the exam, supplement, blood tests, and fecal test. I thought that the prices were OK. A few days later, Dr. Santabene called me about the test results. We spoke for about 16 minutes, and she communicated very thoroughly and politely. Nika's kidney labs were much worse than before, so we increased her lactated ringers (LR) and added a phosphate binder that was ready for pickup hours later. For my upcoming international vacation, Dr. Santabene was still willing to keep Nika at VCA Wexford's pet hotel where the vet techs would administer 100 mLs of lactated ringers on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays and 150 mLs on Mondays and Fridays (because vet techs do not work on weekends). The employees at the pet hotel took a while to tell me accurate prices, but the final estimate was $1,324.30 - $1,374.30 (which included $344 for 10 fluid therapies, $86 for 10 biohazard waste disposals, $244 for 10 technician office visits, and $650-700 for 13-14 nights in a nice-looking feline boarding condo). However, days later Nika began to show serious symptoms, so I had her euthanized by a different veterinarian. Weeks later Dr. Santabene mailed a handwritten sympathy card to me. For my next pet who has a medical diagnosis, I will probably bring her/him here, because I think that Dr. Santabene has knowledge and empathy that many other vets lack.
