When there are mysterious symptoms, I like that they are willing to help me explore ways I can investigate them to find a proper diagnosis. Over the years, I have seen the clinic evolve to be a true and organized primary care center. Dr. Connie Le also teaches medical students and fine tunes their ability to properly diagnose conditions. I have seen her do this, and she proves it again and again that she is a master of medical knowledge. Something that seems minor, such as a wasp bite, was properly diagnosed as cellulitis and treated with the correct prescriptions. In addition, they are great at monitoring severe conditions and reminding me about routine lab tests and follow-up diagnostic exams. I had needed lots of medical appointments involving surgery and more. It is a great relationship where I can trust them with recommending the correct follow-up procedure and intervals. It is fairly easy to get an appointment within a week. Appointments with Dr. Connie Le may take a bit longer to get since she is in high demand. However, they also try to fit in urgent appointments. I have had no billing issues. Yay! The staff is professional and helpful. I also work in healthcare and silently observed the way they operate. They are very organized, which is the top criteria I look for when choosing a primary care clinic.

I was searching for a primary care physician near our new home and saw some good reviews on Google, so I decided to give it a shot. The initial call went smoothly, but I was a bit confused when I was told there was no way to send my previous medical records before my visit. It made me wonder how the doctor would know anything about my medical history prior to meeting. When I asked if I could email my records directly, I was told they didn't have an email system for that. I tried to fill out the basic intake questionnaires through the link they sent me, but the site crashed a few times, so I barely got any information submitted. I showed up before my 10 AM appointment, but even though I had already uploaded my insurance card, they asked me for it again. The front office staff was nice, but they looked super busy, and the lobby was packed. Seating was limited, and people were often trying to create space between themselves and others by "saving" the chair next to them, which made the VERY small lobby back up quickly. I ended up waiting for over an hour and noticed that people who arrived after me were being seen first. Eventually, a rather unusual person took my vitals, put me in a room, and said the nurse would be right with me. Then, he came back and told me to face the iPad for a "virtual" visit with the nurse. A friendly woman popped up on the screen and started asking me questions. Although I didn't like the iPad intake, the person who took my intake was very kind. After another wait, the physician came in and mentioned that she typically treats older patients but can work with younger people, too. Thanks, I guess? Even though the whole situation felt a bit off, I could tell she was doing her best given how busy things were. I didn't mind waiting because I know healthcare can be unpredictable and everyone has questions. However, I could tell I wasn't important, and my "annual exam" felt like a waste of time for both me and the staff. The doctor asked me the EXACT SAME questions the iPad nurse had already covered, and I was a bit disappointed that no one asked about my medical condition that requires blood work until I brought it up at the end. She said they might not be able to do the additional blood work during this visit but could fit it into my "follow-up" when I came back for my results next week. I found that a bit frustrating but didn't want to hold her up, as she seemed rushed and a bit scattered. Typically, a doctor or nurse will call with results, but this place tried to force me into a recheck to receive my results, which seemed scammy. Since I was there for an annual exam, I really hoped to discuss some specific tests based on her recommendations, but that didn't happen. Instead, she asked if I ride a bicycle, and when I said I didn't, she felt the need to tell me that if I ever do, I should wear a helmet. Thanks again, I guess...?The doctor left the exam room in a hurry, and I was still standing there, feeling confused by the oddest medical experience I've ever had. The whole place was just strange, informal, and cold. Clearly, this wasn't the right place for me to establish routine care.

One word: Superb…read more I'm not one to be easily impressed. So when I say I found Dr. Kim's approach to be thorough and impressive--that statement Carrie's tremendous weight. She's a brilliant individual and physician, and I thank the heavens for her! She's a truly exceptional physician in several ways. To begin with, her reassuring bedside manner is imbued with the kind of warmth, natural ease and calm confidence you would hope all physicians were made of, but rarely are. She makes it incredibly easy to discuss matters with her, and at no point in the appointment did I detect the doctor-patient power differential. It was a very healthy communicative dynamic where I felt completely at ease, heard, seen, understood, acknowledged and validated. She genuinely wanted to understand my experience and the struggles that ail me. She assumed nothing and listened with great care and attention, asking all the pertinent questions. She didn't miss a beat, not a single one. She's exceptionally bright, insightful and possesses a diagnostic prowess that is uncanny. She took the time to properly assess my current ongoing issues, and as equally and thoroughly went over my medical history, labs and other diagnostics, and delved into my childhood ails. Suffering from a series of complex health issues turned chronic, that none of the many top-notch doctors I had seen prior to her even came close to addressing; she, however, was able to give me the sense of clarity and empowerment I needed. She was able to inform me as to what the actual underlying issues, concerns and future implications were, how they were addressable and can be overcome, and presented me with clear options for treatment approaches for best outcomes, and explained here's why. She reintroduced peace and ease to my mind, heart and body. She even held space for me to be able to express my very real, well-founded fears and frustration, and took the time to address them with immense sensitivity and subtlety in her verbal and non-verbal language, and succeeded in putting those fears to rest, whilst rendering me with the courage to face what is to come with resilience, and an a positive attitude and outlook. She's truly inspirational. I felt an immense admiration and respect for her ability in being able to cultivate that response and courage within me. Most physicians miserably fail in this area. She excelled. The finesse in her emotional intelligence and agility makes most others physicians look like emotionally-dense amateurs. Her integrative, holistic approach came as a huge relief because it meant she was examining everything through multiple lenses to gain a well-rounded perspective for an effective, life-affirming cure. She openly discusses her thought process and the modalities she's employing in her assessment and treatment approach with you, so you're in the know. This enables you to begin developing an understanding of your bioindividual health dynamics. Her approach addressed me in my entirety as a whole person--my physical, mental, and emotional health, and psychosocial, energetics and spirit-affirming well-being, that honored me being authentic and true to who I am. By the end of the session she had throughly explained to me the likely root causes of the disease processes and manifestations, and what led to compromising my gut, digestion, metabolism, immune system etc. and where I am currently within the trajectory of my chronic disease manifestations. I felt the burden and disappointment I had been carrying around from being failed by prior medical approaches prior to meeting her almost completely lift off my shoulders by the end of the appointment with her, and left feeling I could finally take a deep breathe with ease again, as the stress and tension my body had been carrying around began to release and dissipate. I finally felt I'm in the right hands, receiving the right care and the right solutions were underway. My inner knowing was that I'm on my way to regaining my health, vitality and functionality, and with that, finally being able to reclaim my life and joy in a very real way. I have been taking my little one to her since 4 months old. We went to her because we did not feel comfortable with vaccinating our baby at such young age. She explained to us her vaccine plan and told us that she would support us no matter what we choose for our baby (vaccinate or not). In addition to prescribing medicine, she also has knowledge about alternative remedies that when used correctly have worked for us. I am also personally seeing her for my Hashimoto's. I have been able to reduce my antibodies significantly since seeing her. I also like that she offers alternative lab testing which allows you to see a more holistic view of your body's status. The lab work that she recommends (but does not force on her patients because of the cost) looks at the levels of various minerals and vitamins that most conventional doctors do not check. However, those are vital to check at least once a year to gain some assurance that your body is in balance and there won't be any issues down the road. CONS: I have noticed that she is not very clear on how some of the remedies should be used. Often times I've had to look them up myself and do some personal research. It was a bit frustrating at the beginning but I was still happy because she gave me options and through my own research, asking her questions via e-mail (she is very responsive), I am able to make my own informed decision on how to treat my baby's illness at the time.

I've been using the Patient First in Annandale now for almost two years now for some routine and urgent care. After having truly awful experiences with a few primary care doctors, and a multitude of misdiagnoses over the year. I've honestly been extremely hesitant about going to doctors regularly, I hate being talked down to, and I dislike how many doctors won't even listen. So I first ended up at Patient First for urgent care. I'd fallen and hit my knee pretty hard so I went to make sure I hadn't broken anything. The experience was positive. There was little to no wait, the receptionist was polite, efficient and helpful and overall the visit went quickly, they were able to do the x-rays on site and I left. Since then I've gone in for multiple issues, everything from my hearing aid tip getting stuck in my ear canal, to pneumonia. Every time my experience has been consistent,. Lovely, sympathetic, front of office staff, little to no wait time in the lobby and doctors who will listen. I've had extremely positive interactions with Dr. Wartenberg specifically. I have high blood pressure anytime I go to the doctor, it's anxiety. He was willing to listen and had them check my blood pressure after giving me time to relax in a quiet room. I've made them my primary care doctor, and I like that I can look up to see what doctors are schedule for specific days. Appointments can take a bit longer if they're really busy, but that's a bit expected given its walk in.

Parking was probably the hardest part at this location, as I'm used to going to Reston or Tysons Corner, where parking is very close to the office. Once I found parking in a lot about a quarter-mile away and walked to the office, I realized I couldn't get in without pushing an intercom button. Again, not something I was used to at the other offices that I've been to. But once I got inside, checked in, and let them know that I was trying to get lab work before my visits, they took care of signing me in for both and getting me set up. The lab tech took me back shortly after, and it was someone I knew from the Reston office. After finishing with the lab tech, the nurse practitioner quickly called me back, took care of the reason I was seeing her, and had me quickly on my way to my next appointment. I can't say enough about One Medical as a practice, and I highly recommend you give them a try if you need primary care or a new doctor.

My absolute favorite doctor Dr. Lim has left the practice so I've been hopping around whoever has been available and have found each person that I have met has been incredibly kind, smart, and sensitive to whatever issues I am facing at the time. The back and forth communication between the app is amazing and has saved me hours of my life .. and the ability to make same day appointments is life changing. They have a children's practice as well, which I am highly considering switching to as I can see it being easy to schedule sick and well visits, get doctors notes, etc. My company used to pay One Medical Group as a benefit but it is so good that I continue to pay out of pocket. I am so glad that Amazon has purchased the company to make this type of quality health care more accessible for all.

My Doctor Bao Nguyen is the best doctor. I challenge anyone to tell me that their doctor is better…read morethan mine. Dr. Nguyen's listens to your every concern. No matter how far fetched it might be. He takes in concerns from head to toe. He is not one of those doctors who say I can only check one thing at a time. He is friendly, funny and very caring. He checks you out throughly. After finishing he prints out all referrals you need and gives you a summary of everything we went over. This doctor is extraordinary. If you ever visit him you will see what I'm talking about. The staff is awesome also. When ever I call them they answer with 5 minutes. You never have to be caller#20 and you never had to wait 50 minutes or more like other offices. The staff is so friendly and personable. Going to this office is a joy.
