Edgar Amaya of Pipe Arts Plumbing was very easy to reach by phone; he was clear, friendly, and prompt in his communication. He asked me to text him photos of the work we wanted done; then estimated the time it would take, and his hourly rate. He was available in a time frame that was optimal for us, which I really appreciated. Our top priority projects were a clogged bathroom sink, and a pipe that needed replacing in the garage sink. He did both of those projects in the estimated time, or even a little bit less time. We also wanted the pipes replaced under the kitchen sink, because a previous plumber had put in plastic pipes, which had fallen apart, and were being held together with tape. We thought that would need to be done another day, but he had the pipes in his truck, and quickly replaced the plastic pipes. All of that work took less than two hours, and he had all of the parts he needed with him. The total bill, including parts and labor, was very reasonable. I asked a friend/neighbor for a recommendation for a good plumber. She had just hired Edgar to do a job in her house and said he was great! We had what seemed to be an easy DIY faucet ceramic insert replacement. After 3 days (yes, days. We're not quitters!) of unsuccessful attempts to remove the insert, we called Edgar. It wasn't an emergency, so we scheduled him for 2 days later (although he responded the same day). Edgar arrived at the top of his window (1-3, arrived just before 1!), came in with all of his tools ready. He was friendly and direct and he patiently listened to the saga of our failed DIY. He said we'd done everything right, but sometimes it just takes experience and the right tools - which we absolutely did not have. Like a boss, Edgar had those faucets apart in no time flat. He replaced the inserts (we already had them), replaced some lines under the sink, and then charged a very fair price for his work. I asked for some cards to share with neighbors. We believe in treating everyone who walks into our facility with kindness and respect--and we expect the same in return. Unfortunately, our experience with Edgar was disappointing. From the moment he arrived, he carried himself with an air of entitlement, seemingly expecting the kind of attention reserved for royalty, not routine courtesy. When a team member didn't immediately greet him--due to all team members not hearing him--he took offense. Though we promptly apologized and clarified the situation, he responded with an eye roll and a dismissive attitude that set the tone for the rest of his visit. Throughout his time with us, Edgar was openly rude to multiple staff members. His behavior was not only uncalled for but deeply disrespectful to the professionals who work hard every day to care for our patients and clients. As the manager, I addressed the issue directly with him before he left. We take pride in fostering a warm, respectful environment, and we will always stand up for our team when that standard is violated. Respect goes both ways, no one is above basic decency. read more

I bought a new toilet from Home Depot, a Niagra which was delivered to my front porch, where it sat for several weeks untill my wife said "CALL A PLUMBER." I remembered meeting Edgardo a few years ago when the main water supply line to the house sprang a leak. Of course is was a Saturday. Pipe Arts answered the phone and came by, but he had another job so he begged off but gave me some good advice. So Edgardo showed up with his big truck full of tools, and removed the old toilet and took it outside. Pipe Arts (Edgar) found and repaired a few pipe leaks in our house 8 years ago. We had a wet spot show up on the ceiling and we contacted Edgar again. He was able to come out and take a look at it. He found that a vent pipe was broken and that the wetness was caused by condensation. He had the parts available and was able to fix the problem quickly. The technician / owner came to my property attempted to fix a water pipe leak, I asked him what his repair process was prior to starting, he responded with "why do I need to know?" I said, it's my house, I would like to know what your procedure is, which part you're cutting and replacing so I have an understanding. He got mad and left. It's like going into surgery, asking the surgeon what the procedure is, but instead of explaining to the client what part of my organ and replacing, he gets mad and leaves the surgery room. Terrible attitude, no integrity, zero understanding of customer skills, put your money else where folks.
