Flabbergasted by all these 5 star reviews...? I've been to many Playland's in the greater Bay Area…read moreand I have to be brutally honest, this Playland in Sausalito, California is by far the worst. I traveled all the way to Playland Sausalito from the South Bay with my 5 year old son for my cousins 5 year old son's birthday party. Upon exiting and making a left her and a left there I found myself driving through an old, dusty, shoddy, dirt road, with barrack style bungalows up into an old, spooky gymnasium. I'm assuming they're using 'Playland' in the school's old gymnasium. Is the school still open? I do not know, but from the looks of it, I doubt it. Just looked run down and unkept to be actually open on a day-to-day basis. I'm giving Playland Sausalito a 1 star review because mostly everyone from my cousins party ended up catching either the flu or some variation of the stomach bug that's been going on. Depending on if you were an adult or a child that kind of dictated your symptoms. After calling and asking around if anyone else from the party got sick I was not surprised to hear that, yes other people in attendance got sick. In addition to getting sick, the overall venue was kind of run down and seemed like it's on it's last leg. A few inflatables, a few balls to kick around, 2 pop-a-shot basketball hoops (one didn't work), and a cold gloomy atmosphere. Nice! I understand what Playland Sausalito is trying to do in terms of providing a safe fun-filled place for children to have parties and hang out with friends and family but if children and adults are getting sick than that's defeating the purpose. Maybe it was a one time thing or others have gotten sick at this establishment but I think lack of attention to detail, sanitary practices, and overall kind of just a dingy, ordinary, throw a few balls and inflatables in here and call it a 'Playland' is lame and dangerous. Also, when I called Playland to ask a question as to if they are open or not? (says they are closed on Yelp unless it's a private party), the guy that answered the phone said "Hello".. LoL, not "Thank you for calling Playland how can I help you" so I had to ask the guy "Is this Playland?". Not professional dude. In hindsight, as I was oblivious of what was to come the days after the party, I made a comment to my cousin that they were having another party right after us and I didn't see them doing any kind of sanitary wipe downs or anything. Yikes! In conclusion, I probably won't be coming back again and if you were thinking on planning a party for your little one here, I'd look around some more for I'm sure there are other venues that offer more bang for your buck. Do I recommend, No.

We met a few times in the months leading up to check in about my plans and for her to offer suggestions and guidance. All her recommendations were excellent, from timeline details to referring other vendors. She knows the Outdoor Art Club (a historic building) inside and out, so I was able to relax completely and not worry about their rules and requirements at all, trusting that Stacey had it covered. I made things more complicated by having our ceremony at a nearby park instead of OAC, but even with that added everything went absolutely perfectly. She also did an excellent job setting up all the decorations to make the room look gorgeous, and packing it all up for us at the end of the night, including a mail order Photo Booth that had to be packed just right back in its original box. She also had a number of decorations we could use (frames for signage, a card box, some candles, candelabras and votives, blankets for the ceremony) that were incredibly helpful. She had all the logistics and details covered, letting us and our families just enjoy the night and float through each different part without any worries! As the bride, I didn't think about anything but celebrating all night, and that is all thanks to Stacey's expertise. She also did our save the dates and invitations, as well as much of the signage for the wedding itself, and they were all beautiful. She really went above and beyond, including finding a specific font and actually creating some design elements herself that fit my vision, and I'm so appreciative!

My only requirement was "elegant, but fun" and that's exactly how the evening turned out. I was in tears I was so happy with the final results. My daughter, her boyfriend and I loved everything (and I'm type A and very picky!) Stacey always communicated about party arrangements on time and I was never worried about the party being the perfect day. Everything was completed on time and as planned- leaving me able to enjoy myself for the evening. Several guests commented that it was the best party they had been to! Stacey coordinated flowers, rentals and cookies with amazing vendors. She's the best!

We worked closely with Alison, Danielle, and Lauren over the course of a year and a half, and from start to finish, they were creative, calm, detail-obsessed, and just genuinely lovely human beings. They brought our vision to life in ways we couldn't have imagined. Every detail felt intentional and deeply personal, and somehow, the entire weekend felt both elevated and effortless. Our wedding was FLAWLESS. Coming from two people who weren't even sure we wanted a wedding, we were blown away by how much FUN we had. We can't stop gushing about it. Our guests are still telling us it was one of the best weddings they've ever been to. A special shoutout to Alisha, our day-of coordinator and real-life fairy godmother. She made everything on the bride side run seamlessly and was truly everywhere at once. From logistics to emotional support, she had me covered. I don't know what I would've done without her. Alison Events isn't just a wedding planner. They're a creative partner, a team of steady hands, and at times, our therapist through a very real and occasionally overwhelming process. If you're lucky enough to work with them, trust them completely. They are actual magic.

There truly aren't enough good things I could say about the team at AE. My (now) husband and I were…read morekind of the disaster clients when we first came to them: we wanted to plan a wedding in 4 months, couldn't decide where we wanted to do it, how big we wanted it or what exactly we wanted, thought we wanted to do wine country only to decide we wanted Hawaii, picked a venue that was somewhat tough to work with (Jesse and Andrea charmed the venue folks though and they ended up great)...the list goes on. On top of it, we thought we were laid-back/go with the flow people, but I'm pretty sure I should concede to being a control freak at this point in my life. I still don't know how they pulled off what they did, but they made our wedding absolutely amazing, and somehow made even the planning process pretty stress free (not easy to do when you decide to do a destination wedding 3-4 months out). The team truly delivers from every angle - style, creativity, efficiency, effectiveness - they helped us figure out what we wanted and were realistic with us about what what was doable. During our event, they managed everything down to a T, and did everything in their power to make it an incredible experience. After they saw I wasn't totally thrilled with the bouquet the florist brought (it was kind of giant), Jesse magically reworked the bouquet in the minutes before the ceremony to make it perfect. And they just bring joy and warmth to the whole thing. I now wish I had spent a whole year planning our wedding just so I could have spent more time with Jesse and Andrea (I basically begged them to be my friends in real life after it was all over). If you have a chance to work with AE, do it. There is a reason they have an international reputation - they are absolutely the best of the best.

Sharing my intial experience after I came to pick up my items, just to find out that no one is in…read morethe office and my items aren't ready for pickup either. Just one week ago I had made a reservation for glassware for a small event. I chose Celebrations due to their quick response time as well as their pricing structure. I was also happy to pick up the items knowing that I would save $150 on the delivery fee. I was informed via email that I could pick up on Thursday or Friday between 9am to 2pm, so I drove about 25 minutes to Novato today (Thursday) and arrived around 9:30am. Upon arrival, I noticed the door states "by appointment only". I'm a little caught off guard because this was never stated to me, but I thought maybe it didn't pertain to me since the email communication I had received the week prior stated that I could pick up today. I called the number on the door, and Kim stated that my order was not ready and that she was not in the office today either. I would have to come back again tomorrow to pick up the items, and that they would be ready anytime between 9am-2pm. Kim seemed irritated on the phone, but I'm the customer who was told I could pick up today. She did say she could deliver tomorrow, but I'm not trying to spend $150. I wasn't upset or yelling, just asking for clarification about when I could pick up the items. Maybe she's dealing with something outside of work, but bringing that to me was uncalled for when I was only following the pickup instructions she provided me. Anyway, just wanted to share my intial impression after their misstatement about the pickup window. Hoping for a smooth pickup tomorrow!
