Unfortunately the pictures online are deceiving. Home is not in the greatest condition as…read morepictured. There were large and small cockroaches found in every room. Kitchen was dirty, food left over from previous renters. Chairs to the dinning room were so nasty and stained. It appeared like no one bothered to clean prior to our arrival. Coffee, creamer and sugar were to be provided yet the creamer was old and hard as a rock. TV's in a couple of bedrooms didn't work and remotes had no batteries. I actually had to buy some in order to put in and be able to program the TV. No response to e-mails sent about the condition of the home. There was a leak apparently since before we arrived that was not fixed. When we reported it, they proceeded to shut our water off and after we advised them we needed water, we were asked, through text message, to only use it to shower and shut it off again. The following day the repairman came early morning wanting to shut it off and asked us to collect water in buckets if we needed water. Over $3500 paid for 2 days to stay in this home, yet we couldn't use water, we needed to use it out of a bucket. No contact from Property Manager or owner. No apology, no offer to reduce the cost. Nothing. Definitely will not be staying here again and would advise anyone wanting to rent to look elsewhere.

The owner came over to talk to us the morning we were leaving and he was very nice. However, two days after we checked out, he called me on my personal cell phone to accuse me of breaking several things in the house. This was after someone else had already rented the house for one night, and after my review had posted on Airbnb. He made the comment "well you had those kids with you so they could have done it". My kids are 12 and 14. The accusation was that we "poured a cup of water" inside the smart lock on the front door, and that we "filled" the garbage disposal with rocks. Definitely not something a 12 or 14 year old would do, The conversation was so insane and left me feeling like he was trying to get money out of me. I do not think they like children at their property. I use Airbnb multiple times a year and have nothing less than five star reviews from hosts. I would not recommend staying here and it makes me question how Airbnb allows this type of thing to happen.

Quiet and just a few miles away from downtown Rockport and Port A if you want to go out to eat, go to the beach, or enjoy the nightlife. It is truly one of a kind! This was our last trip to the coast after I was diagnosed with terminal cancer and came home to begin home hospice and prepare for my final journey so it was extra special to my wife and I. We were both born on the Texas gulf coast and really loved to go to the coast almost every summer, but we really treasured this last visit and could not have chosen a more perfect place to stay.
