    Lunch special: gumbo and BLT

Went for lunch during the week in the summer. Place started to fill up quick as the lunch rush appeared. Quick and friendly service. Their upstairs dining area has a great view of the water and island. Really enjoyed the Caesar salad with grilled shrimp added.

Gorgeous views of the Gulf in a mid century gem! We stopped in for lunch and were warmly greeted right away. We were seated upstairs and treated to incredible views of the gulf and beach. Erika was our server and she was as sweet as sugar. Pleasant and friendly and offered us suggestions on what to order. We both went with the oyster po' boys and had them blackened. Our meals came two sides and we both picked the turnip greens and fried okra. When in Rome.... Everything was delicious! We highly recommend and we look forward to our return next time we're at Dauphin Island.

We came on a Saturday night around 530-6, they were down a couple of servers so we had a little over a hour wait. We didn't mind because we were able to see the sunset while we waited. They have several tvs if you go during football season. Food was excellent- my only suggestion would be to have homemade salad dressings. I was brought a packet of hidden valley ranch dressing. Despite being short staffed, waiter did a superb job!

Stop by and had a sit down lunch at the bar. Front and bar Staff were super friendly and helpful. They don't offer draft at the bar but have plenty of bottles. Other wait staff seemed rushed and aloof. I wasn't sure about them. lol I ordered lunch and then a meal to-go. Lunch was less food than I expected for the price but was full just the same. The to-go was for the teen. He appreciated the packaging and ate it without words lol. If you're in the area after the parades, stop over for lunch.... Rather than sitting in traffic for hours returning to the interstate.

This was a nice dining experience for us. We really enjoyed the food and the view. Our service, Carly, was super on every level . We will try to return for another meal while we are on the island.

Great place to grab a dinner! Good food and excellent service. We ate upstairs and I'm sure the view would have been great if it wasn't dark out by the time we were there. Our server, Tanya, was friendly and was happy to answer all of our questions. Food wise everyone enjoyed their meal. I had the CREOLE ROYAL RED SAUTEE which was very good. They did run out of Mac and cheese, so three of our party had to do some adjustment to their side choices but what are ya gonna do? Well aside from make more damn Mac and cheese I guess. The baked beans are almost of a refried beans consistency and have a bbq flavor to them, nice surprise!

Great place to relax and wind down. Good food and cold drinks. Can't wait to go back.

I am going to be honest and say that this place gets the customers that is does because of the location and that there are not many food options on the island to sit down and with a view. We asked for a view and the hostess sat us next to the dumpsters. It was a good laugh. Speaking of a view one of the waitresses also had her backside hanging out of a pair of too small shorts and it was clear that other tables were noticing, looking, and talking about it. The menu is priced decently, but the food for us was nothing memorable. The crab cakes were extremely soft and without the mustard sauce no flavor would be detected. The fish had zero flavor to the batter and the hush puppies were hard as a rock. My fries were both cold and warm which was concerning. The coleslaw was so finely shredded and soft it also wasn't for me. Overall, this place lacks flavor in their food and not a place I would visit twice.

Although the host and hostess were not very friendly, our server was fantastic! It got very crowded with many large parties but she was amazing at taking care of everyone. The food was very good! We had catfish, oysters and shrimp. The turnip greens were outstanding.

What a stunning view over looking the "Pelican passage" Bay Area! The building is unique in its infrastructure; we were seated in the upper area with a gorgeous view and full bar. The staff weren't the friendliest, but the service was very quick. I ordered the Luau Burger, and man, it was soooooo juicy and good! Their garlic green beans and loaded potato salad were delicious. It is family friendly and lowkey vibe. Would come again.

Sign says they close at 9 PM. Don't believe it. We arrived at 8:05 and the hostess said they were not seating any more people.

I did however end up getting the adult grilled cheese with potato salad and the coconut bread pudding to go. The grilled cheese was yummy. The potato salad was good and made with real fingerling potatoes. The bread pudding was a bit lacking. It may not have been as good to-go as it would have been if it was plated and ate at the end of a meal in the restaurant. I ended up eating mine in the car with my pup. While I was waiting on my food I explored the wine shop. They had some good selections. I found some great buys to make dinner. I bought pasta, sauce, and cookies to make a delicious dinner at home after spending a couple of weeks on the road. The wine shop lady was fantastic. We struck up a good conversation while I waited.

The grilled cheese alone was worth the visit but we enjoyed the Fromage Board as well. We are alcohol free so we didn't partake but their drink menu looked great. We wanted to find something to…read moreeat without driving the 20 miles back into Gulf Shores, so we decided to check out the only restaurant within striking distance of our rental house. We frequent Mexican joints frequently back home, so our boys are pretty familiar with the food (though they still make a mess with cheese dip - actually, I still make a mess with cheese dip). In all fairness, we stopped by in the middle of the afternoon in the off season, so I think they were surprised to see us. When I say "they", I'm not actually sure if there was a separate cook, or if the waiter/bartender went back and cooked our food. I'm not even sure if they had the ovens on. It took forever to get our food. The boys were getting restless, so we got some cheese dip to settle things down (and extra napkins). After about ten minutes, the waiter/bartender/(cook?) came out and switched the TVs from Spanish soap operas to ESPN, which was nice. When the food finally came out though, it was fantastic. I was expecting the worst, but my taco salad was one of the best that I've ever had. It had chicken, steak and shrimp. All of the meat was cooked with jalapenos instead of bell peppers, which gave it a fantastic flavor (and surprisingly it was not very hot). During busier times, this place would probably be a four or five star spot.
