Arrg, matey, this mini golf spot is so well done. The pirate theme runs throughout. They have two 18 hole courses. We played Blackbeard. The holes were challenging and fun but also allowed for an occasional hole in one. Water features, pirate ships, and pirate caves await you. It opens at 11am and there was a line when we arrived at 11:05am. Staff was friendly. It was a great stop.

Pirates, Cove, adventure golf, Aaarrrrrrrrggggg !!!! Two different courses, a scenic easier loop versus a harder loop. We played the scenic loop, which was very detailed and fun. We came midday on a week day and it was fairly crowded after a few holes groups spaced out a little bit better. Overall, had a fun time playing the course, most being pars 2 and 3s. We did score a couple hole in ones. Definitely would play again here, on a less crowded day, and maybe even play the harder course. Counter Staff was really friendly. $10.50 per adult

Cute little put-put course right on the outskirts of town. Has both a challenge and easy course for all to enjoy. Soft drinks available in vending machines when you enter and in the middle of the course. Cost effective fun night out.

Waterfall feature on the mini golf course.

Looking for a fun mini date activity or activity to keep your kids busy for an hour or two? Look no further than Pirates Cove Adventure! They have two courses to play on and a lot of fun features along the course to enjoy along the way. If you like mini golf and enjoy being competitive, this is a great activity to kill an hour or two before moving on to other activities such as dinner at a nearby lobster pound or restaurant in Bar Harbor or Ellsworth.

Ahoy, matey! All hands on deck at this excellent mini golf course just 10 minutes away from downtown Bar Harbor. My little family of 2 adults and 2 children (ages 6 and 8) were greeted right away on a weekday afternoon. We chose a 36-hole challenge which included their original course and "Blackbeard's Challenge" which had slightly more slopes. Both courses were really fun and every hole was exciting and different! ;) In fact, expect your ball to get wet. To complete both courses, we spent a little over 2 hours here which included waiting for other groups to finish at several spots. What a treasure! NOTES/TIPS: **Parking was easy in their own lot. "Udder Heaven Ice Cream" and a BBQ spot are directly across the street. **Open mid-April through October. Children 3 and under are free. **Though there are some shady trees and structures, I suggest bringing sunscreen and water. **Vending machines for drinks are on premise near the main entrance. **For every hole-in-one, you get a chance at a prize on a prize wheel. My daughter won a free game. **Paper pirate hats and/or a pirate flag are given to each child at the end.

Super fun mini golf course about 10-15 min outside of downtown Bar Harbor. We had a beautiful sunny day and the course was fun. It could have used a few more obstacles as we picked the "challenging" Blackbeard's course but some holes were still very basic. Overall still very fun to spend an hour or so feeling like a kid.

The original course follows the red footsteps

Fun for the family! I read it does get crowded and there always seemed to be a lot of people every time we drove by, so we went right when it opened at 10am on a Sunday morning. They have two 18-hole courses: an original course and a challenge course. It took our group of 4 adults about an hour to do the original course. The golf balls float, so no worries if you hit them into the water. After you're done, you bring the scorecard back to the window where you return the clubs. The worker spins the wheel and it lands on a number. If anyone got a hole in one on that hole, you get a token for a free game for next time!

    Yeah 4 hole-in-ones

Better design than ones on NY. A family fun spot! Get there early or you will wait in line for an hour to get in.

It's a fun course but they do not spread any time between groups starting. We were a group of 6 and each hole we started the party of three was already waiting. Made us feel as we had to rush...which we did. Good experience, but not if you want to have a relaxed game.

My wife and I came here for an intense and very competitive game of mini-golf. The captains course was nice and it wasn't that busy so you didn't have to wait that long to play your next hole. Not a bad place to spend an hour or two on a nice day. The staff were friendly.

Best mini golf! The girls at the counter were super sweet and helpful. This was a great end to a day in the park. We only did the easy course, but wish we did both. They give you two chances to win another round, very cool! Next time we come across another one, I'm hoping for a rematch!

This place was a lot of fun. We've played at other PC locations in the past like Lake George and Queensbury, but this is probably the best one. Lots of cool features. Everyone had a great time. There are two courses, so we'll try the other one next year. They have some some freebies for the kids too. Go here for a fun family activity or date night.

Cool place for mini golf in Bar Harbor! Had a great time here after dinner...pirate themed mini golf. Great place for adults and kids alike. Staff was friendly and wasn't too crowded in the evening. Par 2 and 3 holes...can't be that difficult right? LOL Not too expensive and we got coupons for $1 off per game next time we come back. Definitely coming back here again.

The decor around the course is a fun pirate theme and almost every hole had a plaque to read about the history of Blackbeard.

The young staffer had no idea what or if the place had switched owners and the name or not. There is a Pat's Pizza attached, and Gifford's ice cream too. We chose to play Mini Golf, and they have the course set up as a 27 (!) hole course. I believe that it may have been really three nine-hole courses based on how the holes were designated in the concrete. The course has a many similar holes with a lot of sloping which caused my group to max out a bunch of times. But, we also had some holes-in-one for those who were lucky. My son "won," followed by a tie for mom and dad, and then my daughter, my dad, and lastly his wife. She, however, was one of the holes-in-one playing Happy Gilmore style pushing the ball with the putter like a hockey stick much to the chagrin of my son when it actually worked well. The teen staffers were out and about using a leaf blower to clean the course, and one hole had the astroturf completely replaced just before we played on it. A lot of brick curbing was loose so watch your steps! The main water feature also was not operative. Everyone on the course (and there were quite a few) was well behaved and respected the people ahead of them. Staffers in the clubhouse wore masks and the sign said anyone vaccinated didn't need one but everyone else did. There is a single hoop basketball court for customer use and although they advertise having go karts and we did see the course, they too were not running. $54 for six to play golf reduced to $48 with a law enforcement discount. We did not stay to eat, and it took a couple of hours to get through 27 holes with all of us. I bet a lot just stay and eat after. If it were very sunny, we would have all been burnt to a crisp; wear sunscreen as there's no coverings on the course. This was a nice way to spend a couple of hours with the family doing a fun vacation activity.

Currently they have 2 ARC-1s (which use American joysticks and buttons to my chagrin) but last I heard the owner was looking into buying an ARC-32 (the Japanese style ExA cab which is notoriously hard to get due to most stateside arcade distributors not selling it). Definitely worth bringing a stool or something to kneel on if you plan on playing at the ExAs for a while because they're at a height where you unfortunately have to stoop to reach the controls if you stand. Currently the games on offer are Dynamite Bomb, Chaos Code EXA, Phantom Breaker: Omnia, and Kung Fu VS Karate Champ on the leftmost ExA and Arcana Heart 3 Xtend, Breakers Revenge Chicago, and Axel City 2 (not the Final Storm version sadly) on the rightmost ExA. Personally, I'd like to see them get Daemonbride exAGAIN, Asuka 120%, Vanguard Princess R, Chaos Code Nemesis Experiment, and the aforementioned Axel City Final Storm but I understand the games are pretty expensive and hard to come by. The arcade also has a wealth of pinball tables, some booth light gun games, and some interesting indie cabinets including deathball and the Nidhogg 2 and Perfect Pour DSM Arcades cabs (although there are more that I forgot the name of). They also have Metal Slug 3, sadly not on an original MVS but those are basically impossible to get these days. There's only 1 rhythm game in the place (StepManiaX) so if you're a SDVX or Project Diva player you probably aren't getting your fix here and I think the only SDVX machine in the state is in Portland.
