She was assisting another person, but was very friendly and even offered me water as I waited. The lobby is beautifully decorated and it's cool to know they have a Christmas decorating section. The gym was very nice with a stair climber. As Ms. Jezek became available, she maintained her friendliness and was very down-to-earth. I was originally interested in the E floorplan, but there wasn't any available to tour. She showed me the upgraded F floorplan with SS appliances and granite countertops. She explained the differences and comparisons of F to E units. The upgraded F was very nice and almost perfect minus the price. Upon getting back to the office, Ms. Jezek went above and beyond even explaining some D/C/B floorplans. Sadly, most units have either white or black appliances and it's a gamble on which you could receive. I explained to her that my prior apt, San Marin in Austin was an older apt had white appliances that I despise. I just cannot go back to white appliances - they are ugly and outdated, and mines at San Marin felt like they were from the 80s. *Anyways off of that sidenote* Ms. Jezek did not assume that my last apt was low income due to the older appliances. She was very understanding and searched for units that had a newer finish with the right price. Ms. Jezek even showed me the actual unit. The unit was beautiful, spacious, and bright. The attached garage was a real treat. The grounds appeared to be lovely with its foliage, and tall trees, and I didn't see any exposing trash littered throughout. There are some things I'd have to consider such as living near children. I saw children's toys in the adjacent unit across from the unit I toured. That was one turn-off since I WFM and prefer quietness over screams. Another thing is the lack of parking around the unit considering most of them were numbered (reserved). I wasn't much interested in having valet trash service again, had it at Valencia Place in Houston. The apt complex may be older, but the curb appeal is very beautiful. It's in a prime location especially if you shop in CL. I'll have to deliberate further with Ms. Jezek before my final decision.

The gym equipment, and the air conditioning units are showing their age. Parking is difficult partly because people with garages use them for storage. Getting them to answer the phone when you call is like playing the lottery. These apartments are filled with mold in the carpet and on the windows/doors. They will "clean" the carpet but it's so worn down they need to be changed. The AC system is so old and outdated they aren't clean at all and will drip into other apartments. They have this smell to them and have some kind of goop coming from the bottom of where the vent is,it's absolutely disgusting. They will put a deodorizer to mask the smell but not fix the problem so you will have to repeat the process. They just paint over and water damage or mold spots so you wouldn't know until your health changes. They are infested with roaches, silverfish and earwigs. It doesn't matter how much you clean. The safety risk is that there is no type of police on the premises. There have been many occasions of police entering for other reasons such as there have been 2 gun incidents none which were reported to us residents at the time. There has been a car chase in the complex as well. Also people going through your car and taking your belongings if you do not lock it at night. This is supposed to be a "gated community " and Luxury Far from it. People having arguments and fights all hours of the night in the parking lot and let's not forget no parking. People who have garages, do not park their car inside they will keep multiple cars in the parking spaces. People walk dogs without leashes scary for people who have small children. The garbage is over flowing and it takes a while for it to be cleaned up. If you know you have that much garbage it probably would be a good idea to get extra dumpster! This brings families of raccoons at night and possums while trying to throw out your trash and trying not to get rabies. The construction that has gone on for the past 2 years is horrific they will plug their power tools into your patio and your light inside your apartment will flicker great if you're working from home like I was. Your electric bill with extra and according to the office it does not go to your bill but it sure does. It has been done to multiple resident and we all saw an increase in our bill.

The common areas were often poorly maintained, and there was a persistent odor of dog waste that negatively impacted the living environment. Another significant concern was the management team. Throughout my time at the property, I found management to be unresponsive and unwilling to address ongoing issues that affected residents. I also encourage prospective renters to carefully read the lease agreement and fully understand all terms before signing. During my residency, I lived in three different units: 7105, 7104, and 4301. Unit 7105: When I received the keys, the apartment had not been properly cleaned. Shortly after moving in, the ceiling sustained water damage from the upstairs unit due to flooding. I was also concerned that the attic was never thoroughly inspected for potential mold following the water intrusion, and I did not see what I believed were adequate remediation efforts from management or maintenance. Unit 7104: Before I moved in, the previous resident had reportedly left the apartment in very poor condition, requiring extensive renovations. While many repairs were completed, the garage continued to have a strong odor of dog urine, and the apartment retained an unpleasant smell that never fully disappeared. I also observed what appeared to be previous water damage in the cabinet near the garage entrance. Based on what I saw, I was concerned that the repair may have concealed mold rather than fully addressing the underlying issue. Unit 4301: I was moved into this unit after another apartment became uninhabitable. Unfortunately, that unit which was 7309 had a significant German cockroach infestation that I believe existed prior to my move-in. Based on my experience, management was aware of the issue but did not take sufficient steps to eliminate the infestation before placing a new resident in the unit. I felt I had little choice but to accept the transfer because no other suitable options were offered. Overall, my experience at Catalon at Lago Mar was disappointing. The recurring maintenance concerns, cleanliness issues, pest problems, and lack of effective management response made it difficult to enjoy living there. For anyone considering this community, I recommend carefully researching other apartment complexes, touring the property in person, asking detailed questions about maintenance and pest control, and reviewing the lease thoroughly before making a decision.

My apartment has been infiltrated with gnats, ants, and roaches, and I moved in a few days prior to September 2025. I am now escalating this to Harris County Environmental Public Health / Neighborhood Nuisance, in addition to the Texas Department of State Health Services's Public Health Sanitation. The so-called General Manager, Stephanie Sellars, is a complete joke. I almost slipped on trash in the hallway in front of my own doorstep due to the filthy neighbors. They do nothing to adhere to their own lease agreement. Perhaps, enforcing this in court will be my the next steps. I have photographs to substantiate each statement. It's ridiculous. It's mentally draining, and it's time a court steps in because taking my time out of the day when I finally decide to address the same issues over and over takes its toll, and they should be liable. Also, the resident parking garage often resembles a mechanic shop rather than a residential parking garage, with cars and large trucks regularly being repaired there. This creates unnecessary safety concerns, including the potential for oil spills, debris, and other hazards. As an example, on Friday, July 10, 2026, I reported a vehicle that was elevated while repairs were being performed. Although I was advised the matter had been addressed, the vehicle remained in that condition more than four hours later. Also, look at how the toilet is situated. I have been subjected to using the guest bathroom, never using the jacuzzi tub since moving in almost a year ago; however, when I mentioned this to the Towers of Seabrook Manager, Stephanie Sellars, she chuckled and stated, "They're all built the same, and why would they single out my apartment." I have bumped my funny bone twice as a result of this defective and unusable toilet, as the toilet also extends well beyond the toilet paper holder, so it's impossible to place it on its holder and pull from it while sitting on the toilet. Moreover, look at how my bedroom door obstructs the entrance to the bathroom. I have to close my bedroom door just to gain full access to the bathroom. As I continue organizing my binders of photographs and documentation supporting the concerns described in this review, I also plan to visit the corporate office in person to discuss these issues.

I really enjoy my apartment, which is a partial studio (there's a sleeping area but it has sliding doors so it's almost like a one-bedroom). The building itself is safe as all of the doors are key fob locked, though this will cause a lot of problems for your poor Uber/Doordash/Amazon Flex drivers who cannot access the building before 10am or after 5pm most days. The interior is clean and looks new. The amenities fit my needs, though they are not amazing. The fitness room has most of what I need, but it is rather small and cramped. The parking spaces are also rather small and will cost $35/month (garages are also available for a higher cost). There is no gate to the property so be wary of leaving valuables in your car. Water pressure is a constant struggle (my shower feels like a tickle on my back), but it's something you learn to live with. I live on the 2nd floor and have only seen one roach (it's Texas, they're kind of a given). That said, the complex IS right up against Clear Creek (hence the name) and a patch of #nature, so be prepared to see lots of critters, especially at night. There are lizards and frogs and spiders etc that like to hang around outside.

Ok, so... let's look at 2 bedrooms. NONE AVAILABLE! Then, to make matters even more deceptive, after discovering they have no 2 bedrooms available, the "UP TO 2 MONTHS FREE" really means one month is free (AFTER YOU PAY A FULL MONTH UP FRONT) and the second "FREE MONTH" is NOT a "FREE MONTH" at all, but is simply a reduction in rent for the remaining 13 months, we determined there really is no "2 MONTHS FREE". The reply from the leasing agent was simply: "Im not in charge of marketing!" If this is how the relationship is before we even become a tenant, I can only imagine how much worse things will be after we move in, and judging from the other poor reviews on here, it looks like we made a good choice NOT to move in here.
