Jungle Golf has better curb appeal, but I think Pirate's Paradise has similar offerings. You can tell this course has been around awhile but the greens looks relatively new which I appreciated. There's a pirate theme and the usual attractions like water features, bridges, etc. I liked that most holes had a bench to sit on while you wait. I noticed the price on the website was $11 but when I got to the door, the price was $12, which was annoying because of the false advertising. Despite that, my kids had a great time and probably spent as much time playing on the pirate ship structure as actually playing mini golf. This place also advertises free replays until 6pm, but after playing all 18 holes in the hot sun, I bet most people don't take them up on that offer. read more

This is a fun course. I played over 4th of July weekend in sweltering heat with my mother, sister, and nephew. There is not much tree cover or shade so we were HOT. Rather, we were melting but that's not necessarily the golf course's fault. The course is pretty condensed but each hole presents a new challenge. There's also a chance that you'll hit your ball into one of the integrated puddles throughout the course but, not to worry, there are nets to fish out your ball when you do so (and don't forget to dock a point from your score). It's also great that you have unlimited play until 6pm. We didn't take advantage of that but we did take a lunch break before finishing our game and to let some rain clouds pass. The cashier who set us up was pretty friendly and kindly let us grab some paper towels (again, sweltering heat) from her a few times. The pirate theme is cute but not overdone and there are a couple benches throughout the course as well (a few more wouldn't hurt though). Go forth and enjoy! read more

My friends and I came here after dinner since it was right across the street. They're open 24/7 which is cool. They have a lot of colors to choose from for the gold balls. The course itself was fine, nothing too exciting or crazy though. It was nice though they have nets by the water in case you hit your ball into the water. read more

We wanted to take in some mini golf with my five year old. It was his first tome. It is 12 per adult and 10 for kids. Which seems the going rate for tourist areas. We went before six so we could play as many rounds as we wanted. We only ended up doing two since it was rather warm out. The grounds were well kept and it had a nice mixture of easy and hard holes. My only complaint was the slow people in front of us. It was like they've never played mini golf before. They had older kids and two adults and we're still very slow. We had to wait for them on every single hole. One point I asked if we play through and he did not let us play through. We could've played two rounds in the same time it took them to play one round. Nothing really that can be done about it from the business side of things it just made our experience not as good. It was good to know for the future that it's one price to play for all day. We did not get to come back later in the day but we wanted to. If you're only playing one round it's expensive but if you want to play a few rounds it's a good deal. Best of luck! read more

Fun? Sure. Overpriced? You bet. My jaw nearly hit the floor when it rang up as $34+ for three of us (2 adults, 1 child) to play and we had to pay to park a few blocks away. We came mid-day on a weekday, but I suspect they don't change their pricing based on peak times or not. Service was... present. Course was nothing special, particularly for the price. No moving obstacles were present; everything was static. The holes often are not flush with the rest of the course as they often had the slightest of inclines leading up to them, which didn't seem to be on purpose as a challenge, but rather as a sign of their age and disrepair. The sun in the middle of the day was killer, and the course only offered two small places for respite from it. I did not see anywhere to get water. I do not plan on going back at their current prices. read more

You feel like you are in a prison meal line with the attendant and all the equipment behind plexiglass. The course had great private theming, loved that you can easily get your ball in the water, but the holes were too difficult and it felt like it went on and on. read more

This place is a little run down but i enjoyed with my husband and two friends. The location is easy to find. It's definitely on the busiest street. Barely any parking... I went to a parking lot and had to walk to this location. I went at night which was very fun with my friends. The price is fairly cheap. It's friendly and the people around you are very patient with you when you're on to the next hole. I would definitely come back here again! read more

Nice mini golf course in Virginia Beach. The greens were pretty new and we'll maintained other than one spot on a hole. Overall course difficulty was medium, nothing over par 3, and even the par 3 holes were pretty easy to birdie. Price was high $13 a person, but came with unlimited replays, so if you want to burn a couple hours here it's a good deal. The website had a coupon for $1 off. read more

I played both mini golf courses and gave both a 3 for different reasons. This one is newer, in nicer shape, and is harder. Jungle golf is your typical lush par expected course. This one is harder so not so good for kids. I myself scored about 9 strokes higher than Jungle. No game room. But for adults, more interesting I think. A lot less shade. No game room. This course is challenging (more difficult than the course across the street, Jungle Golf) and fun, with great variety as you move through the holes. It makes for a great activity with a large group or just with the family. The staff is also very friendly and responsive if you have any problems. There is a reserved parking lot across the street, which is easy to miss if you're not looking for it. But parking is almost always available, so it's a convenient place to go for entertainment down by the beach. Free replays before 6 is also a great deal! read more

Clean grounds (if you don't count the stash of mishmash in one of the decorative boats) and the green itself looks new. Benches at nearly every hole so waiting isn't unpleasant. Intervals of shady areas and sunny so you don't get terribly hot. The big boat at the entrance is actually a sort of play ground for little kids, which mine enjoyed. The wood on that was pretty worn. From looking at the two, the Jungle Putt Putt looks nicer, the price was the same, but that one was busier. read more

My daughter had been wanting to go miniature golfing so we decided to try this one out. I will have to say that it did its job in keeping my daughter entertained. There were pirate themed objects along the way from hole 1-18. She really did have a good time especially hole 18 (this particular hole had a water feature where you go underneath and you do get sprayed with mist from the waterfall which is very welcome when it is very hot). There were also a few times we hit our ball into the water features and they have these nets to fish out your own balls. My daughter had fun fishing out her own ball. There is also a pirate ship at the front entrance of the golf course which is not the best but will keep your children entertained for a little while at least. The drawbacks of the golf course are that it is a little more in price than I think it should be. Also, the course is not as big as some miniature golf courses that I have been to (one that comes to mind is Scandia). The parking is across the street and free with one adult paid admission. You pay them upfront for one adult ticket ($11) and then you get the rest of the tickets at the business ticket booth. All and all I would recommend this golf course to families with young kids because they will definitely have a good time and be entertained. read more

We visited this golf course because of a Groupon I found. I was pleasantly surprised when we started the course. It was clean and easy to play. My three kids did not have any trouble playing the course. They liked the fun pirate décor. There is even a nice Cape Henry Lighthouse replica. It was a nice Saturday afternoon and it was not very crowded (which I prefer). We were able to take our time and not be rushed through the course. When we were done my kids decided to climb and explore all over the pirate ship. At the top of the ship is a picnic table. That would be a fun way to enjoy your snack when you are done playing. They sell funnel cakes, ice cream, and more. Parking is free and it is across the street from the course. There is someone working in a booth to verify that you will be playing at their course. Then you are free to park in their lot. It was fun family time and with the Groupon, it was inexpensive family fun! read more

Went with a large group of friends on a late evening and was able to hit the green immediately. Love the location as it is close to literally EVERYTHING on the strip. This was my first time playing mini golf and was happy to experience it here. Due to my poor aim and novice abilities, I kept losing my balls to either the bushes or the stream throughout the course. Had a great deal of fun even though we didn't finish due to VA Beach's bipolar weather. Oh well! read more
