They heard our story and were more than willing to help while everyone else gave a quick no. When his father did not arrive by closing to pick up clothes, they personally delivered food, money, and clothes to the motel we got him. Their kindness brought all of us, including the father, to tears. Humanity is a beautiful thing! We looked around they had a plethora of things sport related, their snowboards, bindings, and boots were good deals. The next day we came in at 8:20, right when they opened. It's a little better now, but the pain still flares up and is very intense at times. Even worse, I'm a teacher, so I'm often on my feet for 5-6 hours per day, and I would be hobbling out of class at the end of each day. We were going to take a vacation in August that would require quite a bit of walking, so I just wandered in to Nelson's to ask about some comfortable shoes that that didn't look like athletic shoes. After listening to my problem and asking a few questions - really knows shoes/feet! - he made a couple of recommendations. I bought a pair of shoes, then headed off to vacation a few days later. We walked several miles each day, and I was 90% pain-free! It really felt miraculous. I bought two more pairs of shoes from Nelson's since then, and I am almost always pain free after teaching all day! I cannot recommend this store enough!
