Mr. Leon is a super GREAT HONEST man, I am from out of state and I thought I had an issue with my truck, I took it in dropping it off. Mr Leon checked it out and called me. A code did come up during their check - but he said it was nothing major and my local mechanic back home could take care of it. He could have replaced parts that did not need changing and charged me a ton of money. As he would probably never see me again being from out of state. Nope the cost was MORE than fair. If the locals or anyone else does not use this place they are crazy. Thank you Mr. Leon !!!!! They are not great but they are HONEST, DEPENDABLE and EXCELLANT !!!!!!

I asked if I needed an appointment and he said no, they'd take care of me. Do not provide business to Affordable Tire and Auto Service…read more It pains me to write this review after a year and a half of good service at Affordable Tire and Auto Service. After replacing all four brakes and attempting to diagnose a steering wheel wobble over a few visits, I noticed damage to the underside of my vehicle. My vehicle is a full-size Ford Transit commercial van and it was obvious that someone jacked it up on the body welds where you would lift a minivan or small car, denting it. In the most cordial manner possible, I brought this to the attention of Martin, understanding that mishaps happen. He maintained a position that his shop was not at fault for the damage. I demonstrated that his floor jack fit into the dent. I have pictures of the underside of my vehicle before the damage occurred and the vehicle was not serviced anywhere else for over a year. There is no reasonable explanation other than the damage occurring by them. Begrudgingly, Martin agreed to have my vehicle repaired. The next few weeks went by with many unreturned voice messages and texts, and finally a visit to a body shop of his choosing that turned down the job. The second body shop he sent me to provided a quote which I promptly sent to Martin to review. Another few weeks went by with difficulty reaching him. At no point did he ever try to initiate any contact to move towards a resolution. When I got back in touch with Martin over a month had gone by since bringing the issue to his attention. In order to try to bring the matter to conclusion, and avoid having my van tied up for weeks at the body shop, I offered to reach a settlement for an amount below the estimate. This angered him and he seemed to think this whole matter was some kind of scam. A week before my appointment to drop off the vehicle for repair I received a call from the body shop informing me I needed to provide a deposit for half of the amount. When I told them Affordable Tire would be responsible for the cost they further recommended they pay the entire quote in advance to avoid any problems releasing the vehicle to me when it is completed (the repair cost was relatively small in terms of body work). For the next several days both the body shop and myself tried to reach Martin with none of the texts or voicemails getting answered. When I reached him he was upset that a deposit was required and was unwilling to pay the total in advance. On a follow-up call he told me the deposit was taken care of. The morning I dropped off the car the body shop told me the deposit still was not paid. I got Martin on the phone and he personally came to the body shop in anger. He had a position that he has a special relationship with the body shop and didn't think he should pay anything in advance but eventually put the 50% deposit down. On the service paperwork I wrote "to be paid by Affordable Tire and Auto Service" and kindly asked Martin to initial it. To this he became irate and totally refused to put anything in writing. Eventually he stormed out saying "I ain't signing nothing!" In shock at these events, I had to go sit in my car to decide what to do. With the past as a guide, I can only expect further frustration dealing with Martin and it's not worth the hassle. I profusely apologized to the staff at the body shop and left with my van. With Martin's unwillingness to put the agreement in writing I am forced to explore either small claims court or start an insurance claim which will seek damages on their business liability coverage. It's worth mentioning in this saga that the repair estimate was not very high, about the same amount I paid Affordable Tire to get four brakes done. This makes it particularly sad because my motivation was not to recoup money, it was to give them an opportunity to make things right and hopefully continue using their service. Do not provide business to Affordable Tire and Auto Service.

I had a good experience at this location this past September…read more My replacement Pirelli tire arrived on time and an appointment was set to have it installed. I was initially concerned about parking as this NTB shares the building with a busy Starbucks; however, parking was a breeze. The customer waiting area was clean with pretty new, comfy chairs. The bathroom was spotless and there were beverages. There was no deviation from the 'out the door' price I was quoted over the phone to the bottom line total on the receipt/proof of purchase.. Everyone was courteous, professional and friendly. My job was completed in a reasonable amount of time. I'll be back!

Working with NTB was a horrible experience!! I will never take my car to them for anything again…read more Here's my experience: I bought 4 new tires from tirerack.com, an online company that gives you the option to ship your tires to a local service shop, where Tire Rack promises they will be installed for the price as advertised on the map. Wonderful, I thought. Now this is where as the user, I messed up. I trusted without verifying. I didn't call NTB - National Tire & Battery, the shop I selected on the map, before making my purchase. I believed Tire Rack was reputable enough to kept good tabs on their affiliates. I assumed that the locations on the map were--at the very least--currently open for business. Lucky for me, I happened to ship it to NTB-Natl Tire & Bat 297, a location that is/was ...technically open for business (at least it said it was online)? But I couldn't get someone on the phone. I called the day they were delivered, but no one picked up. So I left a voicemail and called the next day, and again the next day, and finally two days later, I call again, and a manager- whose tone was so off putting I think I apologized for calling- picked up. I explained the situation to her and asked if I could have the 3:00 Wednesday appointment listed as "available" on their website, to which she replied "No." Then she angrily told me that she shouldn't have even picked up the phone because as of today they're closed Mondays... What!? I said "Ma'am. When can I have my car serviced? My current tires are unsafe to drive. You have my new tires. What can you do to fix this situation?" She continued yelling at me. She told me there were tires everywhere and that tires kept being delivered and that she didn't know if she had my tires or not. Every time I asked about getting an appointment, she went on about how understaffed she is or about her manager not paying her enough or that she hired a "slow" mechanic (her words) and can't give me any appointment times because she doesn't know how long it will take him (at one point she quoted me four hours). After almost 10 minutes of going back and forth over the phone with her in what felt like a fight, she gave me a 1:00pm appointment. I would have to take off work, but I was willing to do whatever it took to get my tires at that point. When I arrive to the shop, it's full of cars. And there is, indeed large stacks of tires just sitting around outside/outback, clearly shipments from tirerack.com. When I step inside, I say "Hi, I'm here for my 1:00 appointment--" the manager cuts me off. She tells me "Nope, we're closed!" I almost lost my mind. I couldn't believe this lady! After refusing me my appointment, and going on about her manager/home/family life, she relented. She said if I could drop the car off, she could get it done by 5:00. It was 1:00... I told her that wouldn't work and asked her to show me my tires. We started walking around the premises to look for them. When we walked past her mechanic, we watched him drop a tire right on the hub cap. She drew a palm to her face and said "Bud..." and went on to show him how to properly set tires down. I was horrified. Once we found my tires, I told her I wanted them put in the office and locked, and that I would come back for them tomorrow with my husband, and that we would go somewhere else to have my tires put on. The next day, we got my tires from the office of NTB-Natl Tire & Bat 297 and took them to Affordable Tire and Auto Service Centers, in Mount Pleasant, where Omar and his friends took excellent care of my car. They were friendly, easy to work with, and got the job done quickly. When I was checking out, I asked if they put on tires from tirerack.com. And then my regret deepened. It hurts me to say that Affordable Tire and Auto Service Centers is literally less than a mile away from the shit show that is NTB-Natl Tire & Bat 297, and I very well could have just shipped them there in the first place if I hadn't tried to save $30 sending my tires to NTB. Good riddance.

I made a appointment to get into NTB this past Sunday @ 2PM to address concerns - they called me as I was pulling in to cancel my appoint because a tech called off. They had no appointments available for Monday. I contacted Eric at the Firestone Store in Mount Pleasant (Oakland Park) on Monday an he told me to come in at 9AM for a tire rotation, balance, and check for alignment. They discovered that the tires were improperly balanced, and had 50% wear on 2 tires with only 14,500 miles on 80,000 mile tires. The wheel alignment that I had paid for at NTB was bad, adding to the problem. Tires also were worn on the inside, and cupped because of bad Install at NTB. Tire sounded like I had 8 Ply Mud tires on a 4WD Pickup truck. I had the choice to go back to NTB, get an adjusted price on a new set of tires (If they could ever get me in and keep the appointment) and have NTB Install the new set of tires... and repeat my mistake. No way, it was time to cut my losses. So I asked Eric at Firestone if he could yank my Michelin's off, and install a new set Firestone's. Within minutes he had located a set of new Firestone's for my car, and said he would make it happen today. I went over and grabbed some lunch... next thing I know Eric is calling me to say my car is ready. However, I took vehicle in for oil change/tire rotation a few days ago and experience was not good. Upon returning to vehicle after service completed, I noticed adhesive residue resembling LocTite or Superglue on my driver side door paint and rubber window trim. I tried to wipe it off but it smeared over paint and rubber window trim. I went back to shop and informed the young lady at the counter. She came out to vehicle, then went back to garage area. After about 10 minutes she returned to vehicle with cheese cloth and degreaser. She told me technician said he didn't do it. I told her the glue was not there when I brought vehicle for service and that the residue was still wet. She spent approx 10 minutes wiping glue from the door paint, but could not remove residue from the rubber window trim. She did try her best to remove. I told her I wanted the trim replaced. She took phone photo of the damage. She said the store manager was currently "out on a run" and that he would phone me. As of this posting, I have not received any correspondence. I might also add that there was a strong scent of body odor within the vehicle cabin. The windshield service interval decal was not replaced and dash indication settings were not returned to proper configuration (young lady corrected the decal/settings issues). I then went to Walmart and purchased RainX tar and adhesive remover. With this product, I was able to remove most of the glue residue from the rubber window trim to a point where I can live with it, but it is still slightly visible if you are looking for it. I also had to purchase air freshener product to remove odor from truck cabin. I most certainly will think twice before returning my vehicle to this shop location for services.
