Purchased a car, understanding it was as is spent pretty much the day there. Had an engine light…read morewhich I had asked them to diagnose at the time of purchase, stated it was likely an old code and cleared the code from the car. Also had a battery light I had them check as well prior to makingnthe purchase, battery was replaced. Test drove the car again to verify nothing came back on. Came back clear spoke to the sales rep regarding a warranty they were offering. Told it was good peace of mind to purchase it and that he had one as well on his car. I decided to purchase thr Warranty after he explained the so called benifits NVP is the company's name. I paid cash for the Warranty so in the event I decided to cancel it that it was separate from the loan. 3 days later light came back on, took it to a mechanic, turns out it was the wastegate solinoid. Repair was over $600. Called the warranty, pretty much wouldn't cover anything. I went to cancel the warranty for a refund so I had cash in hand for any additional repairs. Its been 8 days since receiving my cancellation confirmation. I was just told by the dealership that the refund, still haven't recieved, will be provided to the lean holder which was entirely separate from my purchase of the warranty considering I paid out of pocket for it, also not disclosed at the time of purchase. I could have put zero down on the loan if i so chose. I was just told that it was "implied" that the refund would go back to the lean holder if I canceled the warranty, it was not. If I was told that I would have simply financed the warranty with the loan, which I could have done. My recommendation, there are plenty of dealerships out there selling used cars, find a different one that does a better job. The car itself minus the out of pocket repairs is fine to be clear, its the dealership I take issue with. They purchase most of their vehicles from auction so its a mixed bag what you are going to get and if there is an issue, dont expect them to actually diagnose the issue prior to purchase and will likely just clear the codes and roll the dice it dowsnt come back before you sign the papers. Your better off going somewhere else

I Feel the staff fully answered all of my questions honestly without trying to hustle me or talk me into something I didn't want or need. 1ST day - they were closed but could still look at the vehicles on the lot. I just browsed around just to see if something would catch my eye (a few vehicles did). Day 2- I came back talked to staff, got questions answered, test drove and got vehicle(s) inspected by my choice facility/mechanic. Day 3 - proper paper work handled & new car purchased. Now this is what i call as easy as 1-2-3...lol. I had a blast talking and mingling with the crew!! Oh yeah I left out the BEST PART EVEEEER: This was a great day about 70°F out sun shining; while signing paper work and waiting on vehicle to be shined up my daughter and I was treated with the most incredible, delicious homemade jalapeno & cheese brats...Mmmm so good !! I contacted Sovereign to see if they were willing to do anything to help me out. After about a week of "back and forth" because (the owner lives in Florida) they agreed that if I had the vehicle towed they would look at it. Another week passed of back and forth and "the owner is on his way back from Florida" every time I called (they never contacted me with new information) I always had to call them. Long story short the engine was shot after not even having the vehicle 90 days and they're offering a trade vehicle for the price of the car with a blown motor. Excellent service, Nigel, also great job stepping up and being present to speak with a long time customer after multiple requests to speak with you directly. Wonderful job. Never again and everyone i know will be forewarned about my experience. Terrible.

They both went above and beyond, truly listened to what I needed/wanted, did not pressure me, answered all of my questions, and gave me their honest opinions. I ended up buying a brand new car. I also want to give a huge thanks to one of the managers Jason for also assisting me and treating me like a person and not a number. Lastly, John who sits in the front as a manager was sooo awesome too. He was so fun and made me feel like family. When I had to wait longer than expected, he accommodated me in a very special way. All of these guys are 5 star people and I would recommend them to anyone. I deducted one star due to the issues with the coordination of my sale with the Honda bldg. This review started off at a 2 star due to the amount of time that was wasted & number of trips I had to make up there due to delayed issues from the Honda bldg. Rob, the manager of the Honda bldg. ended up meeting with me, listened and validated my concern with my experience. My last used car dealership experience was in 2011 and it was a nightmare - so I was understandably hesitant to walk into Al Serra Pre Owned Vehicles. That feeling went away almost instantly - the salesperson I worked with (Justin F) greeted me with such genuine enthusiasm and seemed excited to find me a car I loved. Finding the car was easy - I was a difficult buyer to get approved for financing, though. Justin and Roby in billing both were so patient, kind and helpful. I felt like they really fought for me to be approved and ultimately they succeeded and were able to go above and beyond expectations with terms etc. I made sure to let them know in person, too, but I hope they see this review so they can hear it again - THANK YOU SO MUCH!
