We walked in on a sunny Wednesday evening around 6 PM and admittedly hesitated for a moment, there wasn't a single other customer in sight during what should have been prime dinner hours. Thankfully, we ignored the warning signs and took a chance. WOW. I'm glad we did. We kicked things off with a couple glasses of Lambrusco and the Fritto Misto. The portion was incredibly generous, packed with shrimp, fish, calamari, and even zucchini. Everything was light, crispy, and perfectly fried without feeling greasy. Easy 9.2/10. For our mains, we shared the Tortelli di Zucca e Olio Tartufato. Full disclosure: I almost didn't order it. I usually gravitate toward protein-heavy dishes and tend to think stuffed pastas are all filling and no substance. I couldn't have been more wrong. This ended up being the star of the meal. The sauce was unlike anything I've had before; rich, balanced, and incredibly flavorful, while the pasta itself was cooked to perfection. A 9.6/10 and an absolute must-order. We also shared a smoked salmon pasta special with peas in a cream sauce. The pasta texture was excellent and the dish was delicious overall. My only critique was that the salmon leaned a touch too salty, but it was still something I'd happily order again. 9.1/10. As the meal went on, we couldn't stop looking around the dining room. An hour and a half later, there still weren't any other customers. We were genuinely baffled. How was a place serving food this good sitting empty? We ended up chatting with the owner, who is from Italy and personally sources many of the ingredients used in the restaurant. Super nice guy and the spots been around for 14 years. After tasting the food, that attention to detail made complete sense. You can tell the pasta is handmade. Every dish felt thoughtfully prepared and authentically Italian. The charm continued inside with tasteful decor and warm aesthetics reminiscent of themed restaurants in the past. All this being said, I found it hard to believe this place has only been in Bushwick since 2015 - however I soon learned that the original Turk's Inn was in the Midwest and opened in 1934; that spot eventually closed and was recreated here. There are two smaller establishments attached to the place in addition to the main restaurant - Döner Kebab which is a takeout spot and The Sultan Room which is a performing arts space. The menu is somewhat compact - containing some starters, four mains, and some sides. We decided to order a few things and share, and started with their relish tray, cheese curds, and baklava lamb rib. These were all delicious - the cheese curds were homage to their Midwestern roots; they were quite tasty and paired with a slightly sweet sauce that complemented the cheese well. The lamb rib was tender - I was fearing the baklava notes would make it too sweet but it was just enough to give it a unique edge. The relish tray was awesome - it contained a combination of dips, spreads, and pickled vegetables paired with a large soft pretzel and some bread. Everything was super tasty - I really enjoyed this. For our mains we shared the fish fry, lamb kebab, and a side of jeweled pilaf. The fish fry was good - I'm normally wary of fried fish since it can be overly greasy but that was not to be found here. It was paired with fries, some lightly pickled vegetables, and a tasty dipping sauce. The lamb kebab was good as well - the meat was a little too tough for my personal taste but it was still good and sat top a sauce/veg that complemented it well. Service was great - everyone was super friendly and accommodating as we were a little late for our reservation. They came by our table multiple times to make sure we were taken care of and their customer service really was a standout during our meal. Overall, Turk's Inn was a great find - the aesthetics were on point, the food was delicious, and the service was exceptional. I would definitely return for another meal.

The food was delicious, the service impeccable, and the vibes immaculate. I was worried about having one bartender for 60 people, but they kept the drinks flowing. My father, a man who loves a beverage, said the servers didn't allow him to see the bottom of his glass. The food was so good, and the restaurant beautiful, especially the back room that opens up into a small courtyard. We had several gluten free, dairy free and vegan guests, and they accommodated every request. We were able to have the ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner and reception all in one place, and it flowed beautifully. If you are ever in need of a place to have an event, or just want a nice dinner out, I cannot recommend Baci an Abbracci enough. It was beyond my wildest dreams and honestly one of the best nights of my life. I will never forget it.
