Two stars so they take this review seriously and not maliciously. A lot of problems with this place that I had been wanting to try for a long time, but was left very disappointed. First off, waited over 15 minutes for a glass of wine and a beer and a shot. Mind you the place was not crowded. Fine things happen I understand. Secondly, the cheese "bar pie" we ordered, was horrible, I'm not be hyperbolic. It was disgusting. Seemed to have been frozen dough? The dough was not thin, and the center was visibly uncooked when taking a slice. Third and finally, the wait staff was also bad. I order a bar pie, eat one and a half slices, don't ask for a to go box, ask for the check and they just think that's normal? As a former server, waiter etc, if you see someone doesn't touch the food AND THEN doesn't ask for a to go box AND THEN don't ask if they had a problem, that's an issue. I don't want to give a bad review for the waiters. Maybe they know this place is mismanaged but at the same time, do the right thing. In this area, a place like this will be dead in 4-6 months with all the issues they have. There are at least 4 pizzas places a stones throw away that put this place to shame, it's a NOs general for me dawg. read more

I ordered a custom bbq pizza , cheese sticks & the bartender (Zeke) made me a custom mocktail drink that was delicious. Unfortunately the bbq pizza did not come out as I ordered and they quick fixed this mistake by letting me choose something else to eat. I chose the cheese pizza which was great. They also offered us their chocolate and vanilla soft serve. WOW! YUM. Absolutely delicious. It's made from scratch and honestly it was everything needed after food. They are also opened late! We did have a small issue with my fiancés order as it was close to something on the menu, but wasn't what she actually ordered. The mozzarella sticks were great. Super crisp on the outside without being burnt, but gooey and cheesy on the inside. The wings were typical bar style buffalo wing. Nothing crazy, but they were good. Zeke definitely put us on to the Brooklyns Best iced tea that they carry in the restaurant. Probably one of the best iced teas I've had in a while. He was also able to hook up a custom mocktail for my fiancé to drink. Before we left they also hooked us up with a try of their home made soft serve. Came here for some outdoor drinks during their happy hour that they have even on weekends. Even though it was hot, the servers were super nice and opened the umbrella and worked to get it to the right angle so that the sun wasn't beating on us. So friendly and really nice. We took advantage of their happy hour which was great. They had cocktails and beers on happy hour and late nights they have pizza on happy hour as well. Small and informal but with the holiday decor, very cozy. We walked into the place not knowing anything about it. After seeing the menu, we decided to get seated. The host who also ended up being our server was friendly and welcoming the minute we got there. We almost got up as it was bingo night and it was a little loud but decided to stay. My husband did ask if they could turn it down a little and we saw a staff member do that. We both really appreciated that. We both decided to go with a couple squares each. I went with their tomato and pepperoni, pictured. My husband went with their tomato and cheese. Both squares were outstanding! The sauce on the tomato was seriously perfect. It was nice and thick and you could taste the garlic. I didn't even have to ask for garlic powder and I usually do. The pepperoni had the burnt, carmelized crust that I love which reminded me of my favorite pizza place in Chicago, Pequod's. The server had recommended the Banks beer and my husband said he hit it on the nail w/ the description. Had I known they had homemade soft serve with a rotation of flavors, I would have only had one slice. I was too full but it's now noted for when we/ I go back there as there will be a next time! YAY! I'm so happy to find such an amazing place so nearby. Me and some pals came in on a whim on a beautiful summer day and had a leisurely late lunch. The happy hour prices are *chef's kiss* with well priced beer, cocktails, and food. We started with the fried olives which were surprisingly addicting. If you're a savory girl, this is a must. Was in the search for late night post-dinner pizza and this really fulfilled that. There are a good amount of options, which was lovely. I also appreciated that the single slice options (vs the personal pie options) are square, as I love a good square piece. We went with three: Hawaiian, white pizza, and pepperoni. The first two we chose and were super pleased with (the third we let the cashier chose and we weren't as thrilled with). The crust, especially at the end, is substantial. The cheese is delicious. My coworkers and I came here for a work event as per recommendations of one of our attending because he has been a regular here since they have opened. The place itself is small but still enough space for all of us and they had cute checkered table clothes for all the tables. They have a good variety of drink options and their focus is their pizza. All the staff was super attentive and kind and all our food and drinks came out in a super timely manner. For drinks I got the moscow mule which was really good - the ginger beer is pretty strong in the drink so if you are not a fan of ginger beer then I would avoid this. Some of my coworkers got the pain killer which was pretty good if you are a fan of rum. For food - we got the caesar salad, mozzarella sticks and buffalo wings - they were all delicious. Decided to give Mo's General another try (tried for the first time last year) during a self guided pizza tour in BK, and so glad we did! I am not sure what changed, but this was absolutely the best slices we had all night (and maybe even top 3 for Detroit style we've had in NYC). My partner and I ended up getting two slices - one pepperoni and one white slice with mushrooms. Both were divine (and the cheese + pepperoni crisped up perfectly). We also each had a NASCAR spritz to accompany - which was a fun addition to our meal. The service was also fantastic - our waitress (Bri I think) was very patient and accomodating. We didn't realize they were closing soon when we walked in (thought closed at 11 vs 10), and we didn't feel rushed at all. The pizza here is great, but is much thicker than your typical New York slice and much closer to the thickness and shape (square) of a Detroit slice. I don't see them billing themselves as such, but I can't shake that simply calling it pizza while in Brooklyn is a little misleading. Similarly there is a menu item called "fried cheese" that sounded intriguing to me but turned out to simply be mozzarella sticks. Still, everything I had was quite tasty I couldn't be mad while enjoying this food sitting in their outdoor bungalow on a sunny day. We visited the week after they opened for business and ordered from their little takeout window. The food came out pretty quickly and everything looked and tasted really fresh. I particularly loved the basil leaves on my slice and how the depth of flavor in the sauce it was. Even though the pizza was much thicker than I was expecting, I really liked the doughiness of it, and tried to justify the nearly $7 we paid per slice. The "fried cheese" was topped with a generous shaving of parmesan and I will say the breading was a step up from your average mozzarella sticks. This is a very cute neighborhood spot! Came out here with some friends and being for the Bay Area, the pizza definitely had a flavor that I just can't seem to find back home!
