The service. The vibes. The food. Everything is top tier. I cannot say enough about the team working at Mo's. They enhance the vibe so much. Love. Love. Love.

In a city filled with slice shops, a solid sit-down pizzeria -- stopped in on a snow day and it was so cozy! The Bar Pizza has a delicious crust, appreciate that they had smaller portions so we could try two different types of pizza. The Arancini was delicious!

Zeke was quick to come over and help us through the menu and take our orders. We did have a small issue with my fiancés order as it was close to something on the menu, but wasn't what she actually ordered. The staff was quick to rectify this and were super apologetic for the error. I didn't have as strong of an appetite so just had some mozzarella sticks and buffalo wings. The mozzarella sticks were great. Super crisp on the outside without being burnt, but gooey and cheesy on the inside. The wings were typical bar style buffalo wing. Nothing crazy, but they were good. Zeke definitely put us on to the Brooklyns Best iced tea that they carry in the restaurant. Probably one of the best iced teas I've had in a while. He was also able to hook up a custom mocktail for my fiancé to drink. Before we left they also hooked us up with a try of their home made soft serve. It was vanilla bean and chocolate and they make it there themselves. When I say this was some of the BEST tasting soft serve I've had, I'm not exaggerating. I'd definitely go back with an appetite to try their pizza myself and a few other items. Definitely would get the soft serve ice cream too!

Came here for some outdoor drinks during their happy hour that they have even on weekends. Even though it was hot, the servers were super nice and opened the umbrella and worked to get it to the right angle so that the sun wasn't beating on us. So friendly and really nice. We took advantage of their happy hour which was great. They had cocktails and beers on happy hour and late nights they have pizza on happy hour as well. We also tried their cucumber salad which, was interesting. The flavor was different and it was a bit spicy, but not bad overall. In general would come back and try more of their pizza!

A good Detroit pizza joint should be a little bit divey. Lorimer Street is no McNichols Road, but without a Buddy's outpost nearby, Mo's hits all the right notes in terms of ambiance and flavors. I opted for a basic tomato cheese pie with red onions and banana peppers. As it should be, the pie is thick without being doughy, and has the right amount of crunch on the edges (the main distinguishing factor from a NY Sicilian slice). I didn't verify whether or not they serve ranch on the side, which is the real test of authenticity.

Small and informal but with the holiday decor, very cozy. We walked into the place not knowing anything about it. After seeing the menu, we decided to get seated. The host who also ended up being our server was friendly and welcoming the minute we got there. We almost got up as it was bingo night and it was a little loud but decided to stay. My husband did ask if they could turn it down a little and we saw a staff member do that. We both really appreciated that. We both decided to go with a couple squares each. I went with their tomato and pepperoni, pictured. My husband went with their tomato and cheese. Both squares were outstanding! The sauce on the tomato was seriously perfect. It was nice and thick and you could taste the garlic. I didn't even have to ask for garlic powder and I usually do. The pepperoni had the burnt, carmelized crust that I love which reminded me of my favorite pizza place in Chicago, Pequod's. The server had recommended the Banks beer and my husband said he hit it on the nail w/ the description. Had I known they had homemade soft serve with a rotation of flavors, I would have only had one slice. I was too full but it's now noted for when we/ I go back there as there will be a next time! I seriously think this is one of my favorites squares. I only took a star off just because it was bingo night. It was fun to see the participants winning but again, not what I want to hear when having dinner. Go check this place out!

Really delicious pizza! Definitely a bit more expensive so I'd probably just get slices in the future. The service was fast and it's definitely a casual vibe.

One of my besties brought me here for a double date, and let me tell you, this place is a vibe. From the moment we walked in, it felt like the start of a perfect night. The host was amazing--despite the spot being packed, he was super friendly. When we said we'd wait outside, he actually followed us out a few minutes later to let us know the wait might be shorter and that we could hang out at the bar. Five minutes later, we were seated! Now, let's talk food and drinks. I made the tragic mistake of skipping the cocktails (rookie move), but next time, I'm diving into one of those gorgeous creations. I did, however, sip on an ice-cold Coca-Cola in a bottle, which deserves its own shoutout. Classy touch! For food, we kicked things off with delicious mozzarella sticks--crispy, gooey, perfection. Then came an incredible Caesar salad that I am still thinking about (seriously, get it). We also shared some buffalo wings--delicious, but we were saving room for the main event: their famous Detroit-style pizza. We ordered the classic pepperoni square pizza, and OMG. The crispy edges, gooey cheese, and perfect pepperoni... I'm still thinking about it. To top it all off, we ended the night with their vanilla soft serve drizzled with salt and olive oil. I know, it sounds weird. Trust me: it's phenomenal. Sweet, salty, creamy. Shout out to our amazing waitress for encouraging us to get it! The vibe here is cozy, with warm lighting and a romantic, holiday feel. It's the perfect spot for a date night, celebration, or just indulging in some seriously amazing eats. I can't wait to go back, and this time, cocktails will *definitely* be happening. Highly recommend!

So sad that this place is such a flop. They have a good location off the L/G and a great vibe inside and out. However, their food is overpriced for how mediocre it is. The food LOOKS delicious. It's okay. Our pizza wasn't even cooked all the way through despite that we got the thin bar pizza. Drinks were pretty good but still overpriced considering the execution. Service was also quite off. Not that many people but the staff all seemed to have started that day considering how confused they seemed about taking orders, delivering food, and general vibe. By no means was it BAD but it was below a three imo

Was in the search for late night post-dinner pizza and this really fulfilled that. There are a good amount of options, which was lovely. I also appreciated that the single slice options (vs the personal pie options) are square, as I love a good square piece. We went with three: Hawaiian, white pizza, and pepperoni. The first two we chose and were super pleased with (the third we let the cashier chose and we weren't as thrilled with). The crust, especially at the end, is substantial. The cheese is delicious. And the flavoring for the first two was excellent. We didn't love the pepperoni, as this was a bit salty. The restaurant itself is interesting. There are some indoor/outdoor spots to sit in. However, there is a window to specifically order to go pizza which I think is a necessity for the area. Took about 10 minutes for the slices to be made and then we easily walked away, which is a nice conclusion to any night in the area!

Cozy bar and Detroit style pizza. Whole pie or slice option available which is great. Intimate interior and decent sized outdoor dining space. Pizza is well done to my liking and the service is superb. Overall it's just chill and what one comes to expect from Williamsburg. Come one come all

Wow this is a gem! Truthfully everything was amazing. The best mozzarella sticks I've had in NYC. Their late night specials are so good, $12 personal pie ? Can't go wrong with that. The drinks were also really good, I had an SPF 50 and a spicy margarita. I can not wait to return !

Don't sleep on this place! My boyfriend and I walked in at around 6:30 PM on a Friday and there was no wait, though it quickly filled up. We ordered: + Frozen painkiller + Golden hour + Dark and stormy + Little gem Caesar + Pepperoni and banana pepper bar pie + Vodka with sesame seeds slice The frozen drink was my favorite cocktail, though they were all fantastic. Caesar and pepperoni pie were perfect. The crust on the vodka slice was amazing, though the toppings weren't as good as the pepperoni. Love that you can order slices AND whole pies while dining in!

It is definitely the best pizza in the US; I say this even after visiting Frank Pepe and Sally's in New Haven, and it's honestly not even close. On our last day before heading back to SF, we ordered a massive whole pie: half burrata, half pepperoni. It nailed the classic NYC slice with a thin, crisp crust and the perfect balance of cheese and sauce. It was so good that my daughter finished her burrata half over three separate sittings: at the shop, on the plane, and once she got home. The pie just kept calling to her! Be prepared for long lines, but it is worth it (and the Brooklyn location definitely has shorter lines than the Manhattan spots). It's not really a sit-down place, so you just have to grab a spot at the bar-top tables if you can find room. The service was good and fast. The cashier who took our order was amazing--absolutely love her--though she did forget to hand us our chocolate Bombolone. Situated at the corner of East 15th Street and Avenue J, the establishment was owned and managed by Domenico DeMarco (1936-2022), but now his family continues that legacy. Food critics and bloggers frequently rank it among the top pizzerias in New York City. Di Fara has received numerous accolades, including being named the "Best pizza in New York" by publications such as New York and Serious Eats. The New York Times described the restaurant as "one of the most acclaimed and sought-after pizza shops in New York City." In 2011, Zagat ranked it as the top pizza restaurant in the city, and in 2013, Frommer's called its pizza "the Best Hand-Made Pizza in New York City." Chef Anthony Bourdain also expressed admiration for the restaurant's pizza. I had long hoped to visit Di Fara, so I decided to make a trip from Connecticut. Upon entering, my son and I observed that it was quite busy. There is also a window for ordering, but we chose to go inside to order our food to experience the atmosphere fully. We each ordered a freshly prepared Sicilian slice. Unlike some places, there was no pre-made pizza on display. Each slice is made to order, and it takes about twenty-five minutes to prepare. When we received our pizza, it was notably greasy. The Sicilian slices resembled a full meal, topped with garlic and pepperoni. The garlic was quite prominent and flavorful, adding a nice punch which I liked. The pepperoni was crispy, and the undercarriage had a nice crunch, though it was also quite oily. In my personal opinion, it wasn't the best slice I've ever tasted. However, I understand that when the owner, Dom, was alive, the pizza was considered exceptional by many. I would rate it around 3.5 stars, and I'm grateful for the opportunity to experience pizza from one of New York's most iconic establishments.

Now back home in Minneapolis, Minnesota, the great white north of snow that never ends, I finally tried the frozen Di Fara pepperoni pizza from Target no less. Sorry Joe's, but this is on par with your pizza (if it was frozen). Dave Portnoy was right with his high review. This pizza is very good. The thick cut pepperoni, great basil, and the crisp chewy crust was excellent for a frozen pizza. Nice under carriage as well. I cooked the pizza at 480 degrees in an electric pizza oven for 10 minutes, and the result was very good. I added a drizzle of hot honey, and it was spectacular (okay, I also added some fresh picked jalapeños as well). The pizza was hot and melted in the center, and the crust was very crisp, but still had some chew. Wow. This was the best frozen pizza I have had. Bar none. New York, you spoiled me when it came to pizza. Now I can get a taste of New York at home. Great job! I may or may not eat the last 3 pieces currently sitting in the fridge before bed.

It tasted notably fresh--light, clean, and not overly chewy like pre-frozen versions can sometimes be. While I can't say for certain, it had that just-prepared quality that makes a difference. The Caprese salad was a great way to start the meal, with fresh tomatoes, creamy burrata, and a balsamic drizzle was a nice light start. The atmosphere leans old-school Italian, which adds to the charm and character. Service was fine--nothing remarkable, but no major issues either. That said, my overall rating takes a big hit solely for the restaurants ridiculous tipping policy choices rather than the food itself. The automatic 20% gratuity added to the bill was frustrating. The menu does indicate that 18%, will automatically apply, or will be 20% for parties of six or more. We were only three people, so it felt inconsistent and unnecessary. On top of that, the added cost for credit card usage didn't help. I don't mind tipping for good service! In fact, I tip well--but I prefer having the choice and I'm old school so it's the principle of the matter. Being forced into it, takes away from an otherwise enjoyable meal. Bottom line: the food is strong and worth trying, but the billing practices leave a bad taste. If those were adjusted, this could easily be a higher-rated experience.
