My "Happy Meal"- Falafel Pita, Hummus and complimentary pickled sides.
    Nevin H.

Mic Drop Experience! The place is amazing! Everyone is very friendly and welcoming, food service was quick, food was great, I mean really great! It was clean, including the restrooms. I was in Tel Aviv 2 weeks ago and my falafel pita tonight was as good as what I had there...and I was taken to what I was told was the best they had to offer! The complimentary sides were fully stocked and delicious. Their hummus was smooth, creamy and fresh. I gave 5 stars because they, once again, EARNED EVERY ONE! I WILL NEVER not be in this area and not go in to eat...and the readers of my review shouldn't either!!

I miss the old version: orange diner booths where you could see everyone in town, shawarma without turkey, Israeli cable tv. The food is still freshly made to order; but the family atmosphere is gone. It's mostly take out now. And shawarma with turkey is not nearly as good.

So, if you follow my reviews, you would know that I was spending a lot of time in Nevada, specifically, the Las Vegas / Henderson / Summerlin areas... AND?! If you know me by now - if I check in to a place AND I don't review - most of the time, its because I really did not have a great thing to write... With all of the above - OMGosh - I have been craving an authentic shawarma sandwich - well, since I had a not so great one, and I wanted to validate that I actually knew what shawarma was... AND?! Pita Plus - is 100% the real deal ... everything in it... tasted the shawarma separately - everything was just insanely delicious.. I also had probably the best kibbe that I have had in years and years AND the grape leaves - were bar none.. The service there was superb and the atmosphere was large enough that you could have a party if you wanted without feeling it was toooo large. I have not been to this place since well, the old location, and that was many many many moons ago - So happy I got my breakfast, lunch, and dinner here tonight and it was just so excellent - I wanted to sign on and sing their praises... Manny and the whole staff were fantastic. Cannot wait to go back!!! 100%Jordsified. #ThatsMyByte!

Baba and side pita, they really are generous and it's delicious!

In person this is a 5 star experience. Service is swift and the food is hyper fresh, like grown in heaven's garden fresh, but such is the Kosher experience in general. I've had the mixed grill kabab, hummus, and falafel, hand cut fries and all are divine. The help yourself pickle bar is a thing of pure palette tingling indulgence that I am truly appreciative of. The prices are a bit heavy but as an occasional indulgence of superior quality with 2 meal worthy portions sizes, it's an absolutely justifiable investment.

One of my go to shawarma pita spots. Service is amazing, always super friendly. Salad bar is always fresh. Shawarma is always on point. And their pitas are so soft.

Since my first and only prior visit, eight years ago, Pita Plus' quality and pricing both appear to have gone in unfavorable directions. I'd been eager to come back here, hoping for a similar experience to my first trip and also hoping to re-live a couple of food moments I'd had on a recent trip to Israel. However... Problem #1: What I'd ordered was a "chicken shishkebab" pita, and what I got was not that. A shish kebab is, by definition, skewered (that's what 'sis' means in Turkish) grilled meat, whereas what I got were grilled chicken tenders, with no skewer involved. Not a big deal, but language is kind of important, plus it's always nice to be able to get what you think you ordered. Problem #2: The tenders were overcooked to the point of being tough, dry, and an unenjoyable chore to eat. Problem #3: Everything was under-seasoned. The sandwich was completely bland. Problem #4: A couple of hours after returning home, I found myself nauseated and reaching for the Pepto Bismol (something that rarely happens to me). Problem #5: The whole unfortunate experience cost $17+ (with tax, without a beverage), which is a lot for a modestly sized sandwich. On the plus side, service was friendly, and typically I'd award a star or two for that, but this particular meal was irredeemably bad.

It was great! Falafel was tasty also the Shawarma We will come back for sure. Pita bread was wonderful

Also reasonable price points for a combo sub to quick pick up for you or the kids. I also had the Mexican Street corn chicken sub ( not pictured) which was surprisingly good. One thing to note, I was not greeted at the door or counter. I was also not given a goodbye when leaving, again not a deal breaker. But I do appreciate a welcoming or a "what can I get started for you?". I placed my order and was given a number to wait to be called, wait time around 10-15 minutes. The dining room was dated, but had a sub shop aesthetic to it. Tables were very clean, business did not seem dirty at all! Now to the food: Mozzarella Sticks: Not crispy, not fresh, NO CHEESE PULL, a tad freezer burner and had a flavor of a dirty grill. I ate them all (big back). But these were by no means average, well below. The marinara was too chunky to dip into and was not fresh. ~ 6/10 Parmesan Chicken Cutlet Sandwich: Bread was tasty, toasted and fresh. Same marinara was used for the sandwich. Chicken was cooked well (tender), wish it was a little crispier though. The chicken could use a little more seasonings. The cheese was cheese, nothing bad about it. At the time of ordering I felt the price was high ~ $16 for the sub, but the portions match it. Good job here. Still a little freezer burned flavor in the sandwich. I'm willing to give them another shot with something a little more traditional of a sub shop!

I came here with some friends and we had the opportunity to stay and order different dishes all Of which came freshly Prepared by the owner/chef who personally Stopped by the table several times to make sure everything was going well. The service was super cordial and they truly made us feel at home. The restaurant itself occupies 2 shops in the strip mall, one side holds the kitchen and the takeout area, and the other side has the smallish dining area. I must say that they keep the temperature warm... I am always cold in restaurants and I was not cold here- and the kitchen side was definitely hot. As far as the food: everything is cooked to order, so do expect a delay in service. One side of the table was eating and finished before the food for the other side of the table came out: we were a table for 8; so expect to stay a while and have plenty of conversation time before your food arrives... but you will see that it is super fresh and delicious. We do recommend it and will Definitely be coming here again!

I am Vietnamese born in the States and grew up Philadelphia and Northern Virginia, both places that have a sizeable Vietnamese population, so I spent most of the last few years wondering where good Vietnamese food is around Miami. Well, a few minutes inside and we already knew this place is legit. It's small but comfortable, the staff is attentive, and the food is authentic. My wife and I started with the banana blossom chicken salad which came with a perfectly seasoned sweet fish sauce (in case you're wondering, banana blossom is not sweet or fruity but has a slightly floral slightly earthy flavor like a mild artichoke). I got the Com Ga Ninh Kieu, which is similar to a Hainan chicken if you're familiar with that - yellow poached chicken is served with rice thats cooked wiht the chicken juices and broth, topped with crispy fried onions (or shallots, I forgot) and a side of sweet ginger-y fish sauce; the meat was juicy but still packed with flavor. My wife got the chicken pho, which came with the same juicy and simple but tasty chicken, and a broth that wasn't too salty but still packed with chicken flavor. The food was all delicious and reminded me of the same no-frills tasty cooking that my family grew up with in Philadelphia; even the veggies on the side were legit. To my surprise after reading online, the owners actually immigrated to Philadelphia before eventually relocating to Florida! My only wish is that this place was closer to downtown Miami so I could come try the rest of the menu.
