I came here with some friends and we had the opportunity to stay and order different dishes all Of which came freshly Prepared by the owner/chef who personally Stopped by the table several times to make sure everything was going well. The service was super cordial and they truly made us feel at home. The restaurant itself occupies 2 shops in the strip mall, one side holds the kitchen and the takeout area, and the other side has the smallish dining area. I must say that they keep the temperature warm... I am always cold in restaurants and I was not cold here- and the kitchen side was definitely hot. As far as the food: everything is cooked to order, so do expect a delay in service. One side of the table was eating and finished before the food for the other side of the table came out: we were a table for 8; so expect to stay a while and have plenty of conversation time before your food arrives... but you will see that it is super fresh and delicious. Tried this place on the way back from Morikami Japanese Gardens to Miami where I live, and was very glad we did! I am Vietnamese born in the States and grew up Philadelphia and Northern Virginia, both places that have a sizeable Vietnamese population, so I spent most of the last few years wondering where good Vietnamese food is around Miami. Well, a few minutes inside and we already knew this place is legit. It's small but comfortable, the staff is attentive, and the food is authentic. My wife and I started with the banana blossom chicken salad which came with a perfectly seasoned sweet fish sauce (in case you're wondering, banana blossom is not sweet or fruity but has a slightly floral slightly earthy flavor like a mild artichoke). I got the Com Ga Ninh Kieu, which is similar to a Hainan chicken if you're familiar with that - yellow poached chicken is served with rice thats cooked wiht the chicken juices and broth, topped with crispy fried onions (or shallots, I forgot) and a side of sweet ginger-y fish sauce; the meat was juicy but still packed with flavor. My wife got the chicken pho, which came with the same juicy and simple but tasty chicken, and a broth that wasn't too salty but still packed with chicken flavor. The food was all delicious and reminded me of the same no-frills tasty cooking that my family grew up with in Philadelphia; even the veggies on the side were legit. To my surprise after reading online, the owners actually immigrated to Philadelphia before eventually relocating to Florida! Really enjoyed lunch here. Went with a big group and everyone enjoyed their meals. I enjoyed the Banana Blossom salad, spring roll and summer roll. Others had chicken soup, a few chicken dishes, Vietnamese rice crepe and Lotus salad. A friend who went on a cruise to Vietnam this year said it was the most authentic Vietnamese food she's had in locally. I've eaten a ton of Vietnamese food in my life at places from hole in the wall to upscale. Since relocating to South Florida I'm 2018, I've found a few decent Vietnamese places -- mainly focused on Pho -- but have been looking for a more wide variety of traditional dishes. This place is it and it's amazing!!! We drove quite a way to check it out a few weeks ago. Entering the door everyone was very nice and smiling. We had already checked online and knew they had traditional dishes, so we were ready to order. A longtime friend of mine had introduced me to a mainstay traditional dish about 12 years ago. It's sweet and sour soup with fish (or shrimp, if you prefer) paired with pork belly in a clay pot. Put rice on the bottom of the dish, add the soup and pork -- and viola, it's a comfort food dish Vietnamese style that's out of this world!! Note: there are many other dishes that you can order. I'm confident they are just as delicious! Afterward we met Mindy, who along with her husband Victor, open up this place about 6 months ago after having a successful restaurant in the PA-NJ area. Com Ga Ninh Kieu is a new restaurant so everything inside looks bright and clean. The staff is very nice. Their menu is a little bit different from the Vietnamese restaurants we are used to seeing here. Instead of a focus of pho, they have dishes not often seen on other menus here, so it's great to try them. We got the chicken rice, which is similar to the Hainanese chicken rice, even though it isn't so named on the menu. Tender chicken with fragrant rice. My only complain is that, maybe the cleaver wasn't sharp enough, but there were quite a bit of broken bone fragments in the chicken, which didn't make for pleasant dining. We also enjoyed our bun rieu, a tomato-based noodle soup with crab meatballs. The taste is so traditional, the ingredients fresh and the seasoning delicate. The plaza where this restaurant is located in looked kinda dead on a Friday night, which worried us a bit. There are a few other restaurants too but just a handful of cars in the lot. Hopefully this place gets busy and stays open. You guys all should come and give this a try! read more

BEST chicken rice I have had in the U.S. it says a lot since I live in a very diversified part of the country with quite a few chicken rice or the likes. My kiddo got the chicken pho and loved it. The durian smoothie is her favorite of all the things we tried. The owner/people who work there are super nice. Mom and pop style place. Clean and comfortable. I've eaten there on several occasions with my daughter and granddaughter! We have enjoyed every single moment of our times together eating there. Although we try something deferent during each visit I have to say that the salt and pepper shrimp and the chicken wings are our favorites!!! The chicken pho is like eating grandma's chicken soup in the dead of winter. The husband and wife owners are very friendly along with our same server that we have every time. Happy to finally find a well-reviewed Vietnamese spot in South Florida! I was excited that the menu went beyond just pho and included many authentic Vietnamese dishes I love. We ordered the cá kho tộ, phở gà, and gỏi sen. The lotus salad was the best, so flavorful and refreshing. I loved the combination of shallots, sauce, peanuts, and chicken, everything worked perfectly together. The caramelized fish dish was also excellent, the meat was both lean and rich at the same time, and sauce was very savory & comforting. The phở gà was the only slight letdown. Not a typical Vietnamese restaurant!!. Theres's no pho on the menu. The star is the chicken...which makes sense since "ga" (means chicken) is in the name of restaurant. Surprisingly we didn't try the chicken but we did get the seafood noodle soup and crepe which were both delicious. They make a fantastic peanut dipping sauce for the summer rolls. The coffee is very strong, but good, and woke me up fast! I'm sure I'll be up all night. We'll definitely return and next time will order the chicken soup or chicken rice dish. Looking forward to it. I loved the big bottle of ice water they leave at the table as one of the biggest problems with Vietnamese restaurants is getting a refill on water. I didn't explore the menu too much but had the fresh shrimp and pork summer rolls which were very good with very tasty peanut sauce, however, it was missing the pork that I'm used to having alongside the shrimp. Not sure if that's the norm but it still was really good. The crispy spring rolls were out of this world, the best in Broward end of story. I would go there just for the crispy spring rolls. Too much broth while too little vegetables.The chicken is a little strong smell.I can still feel the stink of chicken meat 1 hour later.Some Vietnamese people have very sensitive tongues.
