Manny and his team came through! My catering experience with this establishment started off a little rocky- the kept getting my email address wrong. However, it all worked out! Iggy made certain that I was taken care of and that I received everything I asked for; she even insisted on loading my car! Our staff TRULY enjoyed the feast during one of our Teacher Appreciation Luncheons during the week of May 6th. Many of them told me that the would be heading back on their own! We had more than enough food; I was able to give some take home containers. Everything was cooked fresh and perfectly flavorful! I went to Pita Plus for lunch with my coworkers. Although, at first glance I wasn't convinced, the food was delicious. Why 4 start and not 5? The decor. 1- when entering the restaurant, you feel like it was built in the 1990's and has not been updated since. On my own, I definitely would not venture here. It looked sketchy. 2- The menu is not very user friendly or explanatory. I wasn't sure what I was getting. Can someone please tell me what's a young chicken? Do I want to know what's a young chicken? I took a wild guess and ordered the chicken pita. 3- the food was delicious. My chicken was freshly made and the taste was incredible. All and all it isn't a bad lunch place. So much fun to wander in off the street and be transported nto the middle of Israel, with big families, broad definitions of lines, chaos, noise, and big flavor. Falafel playe with all the little salads rocked. We also sampled pickles from the free pickle bar...even purple vegetables we couldn't identify. The crew is unbelievable... so friendly , Mark is great and the lady at the register Hagit is so so nice. Every time I come there I am greeted with a smile and a very welcoming attitude from all the staff. THEY MAKE THE BEST WRAP EVER !! Their wraps are always very generously made and every bite has the "meat" all the way till the end. My thought is simple ... they make the food with "love" and you can taste it. Meat is dry, no flavors added at all, customer service at the zero level, he put me a meat without any sauce even though I asked for, attitude like "I do not care, it this dry food and choke with it". My god I have had food poisoning a couple of times in my life. But this is the worst bacteria that has ever entered my stomach. I'm sad to say that this is my first time taking lunch from pita plus and I will never step foot in there again idk exactly what it was that got me sick as it was first time so they let me try everything in a mixed bowl. But I nearly died sick as a dog for the last 3 days worst bacteria ever can't even think about eating pita plus again without feeling ill. I've been coming here for at least 10 years and was always felt to be a second class citizen because I don't speak Hebrew but I was able to ignore that fact. When I walked up to the grill there was no one left to order but me. The place was not busy, maybe 10 customers. No one says anything to me, not acknowledged that I walked into their establishment. Fine...I wait....no one says anything...ok...I walk over to the register "Do I order here" no? ok I'll go back over to the grill." I walk back over, no one in front of me..no one says anything..not a "hold one one minute, thanks for coming in, we'll be right with you.." nothing. I stand there....nothing.... I walked out. These idiots are lucky that are in Hollywood and get a big kosher crowd. There's plenty of competition. I went down the road and gave my money to Hummus Factory. If you're not even going to pretend that you want my money, I'm walking out. It's a lot cheaper to keep customers than get new ones. Well, you just lost a very long customer. Don't miss the pickle bar, which had tasty sliced carrots and delicious sauerkraut. I recommend getting the tahini on the side rather than in the pita, it's a lot easier to eat that way.
