Lamb schwarma
Mina G.

Good stuff. Heard this place has good sandwiches. Its inside the mart of a gas station. Tried their lamb schwarma sandwich and found it yummy. They have a cool cooper bread heating thing, legit schwarma meat. They also have a lot of other platters, fruit and sandwiches. Would definitely come back to try other offerings! Great price as well. Workers I spoke with seem very friendly as well.

What a delicious delightful surprise! This little gem is inside the Lukeoil gas station quick marketplace. Past the grab and go items in the back is where you'll find the cheerful staff who were very patient with me as I ask questions about the menu. I settled on the chicken orzo soup which was like my grandma's. Velvety smooth and loaded with chicken, carrots and celery and onions. The pita sandwich I chose was the lamb. It was delicious by itself, but when my toppings ( lettuce, cucumber and tomatoes, feta, onions,) were added along with tahini sauce it delivered to a new level. Hot sauce on the side so I could control that next level experience.... sandwich was big and the pita was beyond good. Definitely give this gas station spot a try - it's not typical gas station dining.

Surprisingly good schwarma from a gas station. As many before have placed it, this is a diamond in the rough locale. It's a gas station restaurant with proper kofta, schwarma, skewers, and falafel. You get big flavors for a reasonable price, all fresh made and absolutely delicious. This is a great place for a quick bite or a platter if you want a meal. The portions are generous, and the food is well prepared. I rate this place a 4 because of the location. If you try to get here via gps and miss a turn then it's a 15 minute trek to get back here. So you need to know where you're going or else you end up wasting lots of time. Also the entrances are not the easiest to spot and the wrong exit will add another 10-15 minutes to your trek. But if you do manage to make the trip and know exactly what to look for, you'll be rewarded with solid meals from a gas station. Worth a try if you're in the area.

Really well seasoned and tender meat, surprisingly filling. The pita is warmed to order and you can add whatever toppings and sauce you'd like. I want to come back to try the platters! There are seats and tables inside but you'll see most people eating in their cars. Solid meal for under $20.

Pita Pocket serves fresh middle eastern food at value prices from the back of the family-owned Lukoil gas & convenience store. It's surprising, for sure, but everything's fresh, from the warm pita to the spit-roasted meats and freshly-fried felafel. The tabouleh and baba ganoush are first rate. The Greek salad is a nice meal, though it's notable that they don't use Greek kalamata olives (big fail).

3.5-4 I think I ordered the lamb shawarma platter but I didn't see that as an option on the online menu. I pass this place every time I come home from work after getting off the turnpike. It is definitely located inside a gas station mart but don't let that deter you. Portion size was big, food was very flavorful and the little side salad part was full of little extras that you don't always get depending on where you go. Meat was cooked nicely and seasoned. Staff was friendly. I would definitely come back here again.

The prices are good, but I wish the food was better. First off all their pita sandwiches come with beets in it- which I was not expecting but luckily I like them. Their babaganoush tasted straight like garlic. You couldn't taste anything else at all. We had to mix it with the hummus for it to even taste good enough to eat. The lamb pita had maybe 4 pieces of lamb in it, compared to the other two it wasn't even close to being full. I will say the pitas had a great taste and the others were PACKED.

A gas station in Mt. Laurel NJ? Doesn't sound like much, but when one puts their pride aside and steps into this joint, they won't be regretful! A stroll past the frozen slushies and lottery tickets brings one to a classic, no frills counter with a simple menu. I opted for the pita pocket, since that is the name of the restaurant after all. I was met with friendly service and a delicious meal. The chicken orzo soup tastes fresh out of your grandmother's ladel, and the falafel pita is hard to beat for the price and convenience.

I always have an issue when people can tell someone has not been to a place before and even if they havent it should be an immediate question. Is this your first time here? It builds a relationship. The owner and his employee seemed to have had an exchange about the meat being used for the shwarma. I order rhe shwarma combo but ask for it dry, I dont like sauces ir other wet ingredients making my food soggy. I asked for no garlic sauce and you guessed it, I got it anyway. Didn't want to make a fuss besides I was starving. Food looked good but there was a piece if plastic in the shwarma who seems like it may have been part of the wrap it came in. Again I am starving and just peeled it off and continued. I should have said something but didnt. Well played and presented with just the right portion size. Fries were really salty, I jist wiped the salt off and continued and I ate at the store. I would def try again as this place def has potential but will remember to reiterate my order and confirm, any problems bring it back.

Meh Mediterranean in a daycare setting…read more Before I even reached the door, the walls of a crying infant arose from a family dining al fresco at Norma's in Cherry Hill. Restless little ones blocked the entry, setting the tone for my overall Saturday evening experience. That Norma's is popular, there can be no doubt. We had no reservations, and felt lucky to snag a table. The place was bustling, servers had their hands full, we were obliged to be patient until ours arrived. I love Norma's menu -- my partner is vegetarian, so Mediterranean works great for us. I went the veggie route as well, starting with a lentil and ckickpea soup that was hot and savory and the high point of my meal. Other appetizers we enjoyed were the spanikopita and the cheese manaeesh, second to none. My veggie skewer was perfectly charred yet light. After such a promising start, then, our entrees came as quite a disappointment. My partner opted for the falafel salad, and while Norma's falafel are indeed superior, the salad was a bit of a mess, too ... wet, diluting the dressing, leaving runny runoff on the plate. But the greatest misfire wss the mixed kabobs entree I ordered. Everything about it was underwhelming -- these are signature items that should be stand+outs, but weren't. The kabobs were just okay, lacking in appeal, resting on a bed of rice that was unremarkable except for how cold it was. I suspect my plate had been held too long. I know they would have fixed it had I asked -- but seriously, I was up to *here* with all the kids. While I was eating, a woman behind me gathered up her gaggle of tots, squeezing out of the way to make room for a baby carriage the size of a Volkswagen. Does Norma's deserve a second chance? Sure. Next time, I'll stick with the appetizers and stay close to my wine glass lest the kindergarteners in my vicinity cause my nerves to fray.
