The portion size of the platter was huge. I hit two meals out of it. The platter also comes with Pita bread and white sauce. The chicken was tender and juicy. The potatoes were okay. They were more lemony than savory and I felt the flavor profile could have been more balanced. The pita bread was nice and soft. The lentil soup I did not enjoy. It was very bland, I ended up tossing it. I was disappointed because on a cold day I was looking forward to a little soup to warm me up but it was lacking flavor. Their food is so good! Their take out platters for a group are my go to - easily feeds a family on a busy night! I order the mixed grill for 4 people and after my family of 4 eats we still have so much left! And then there is the customer service - excellent! The platter comes with a 2 liter of soda, and when I picked up they were incredibly apologetic that they didn't have a cold bottle for me. I said it didn't matter, we can put it over ice. They ended up finding 1 which was hiding in the fridge because they started moving things around to try to find a cold bottle for me. So many places would have given me the "tough luck lady" response and handed me a warm one. It's those small moments that make a difference! The staff is observably stupid. The women that works there is fantastic but when she's not there and the two young men and the male owner are there it's ganna be a shit show. The decor of Pita Station is simple, bright and really clean. During COVID-19, dining-in is not allowed but customers still can use the restroom when picking up the food, which is super nice for me. There is a great variety of options on the menu and we got 2 platters: Grilled Salmon & Shrimp Combo Platter, Grilled Chicken & Grilled Sausage Combo Platter with reasonable price and great portion. All the platters are served with pita, salad and a side, which can be chosen from rice, fries or lemon potatoes. The food was overall decent especially for the lemon potatoes and salad. I seem to have bad luck when it comes to my food adventures in Manhasset....that, or there really aren't too many great options (I honestly think it's the latter). But wait! Pita Station is here to help with this conundrum! I had one of those odd days of work (Election Day) where I found myself on my own and with extra time for lunch. Unsure what I wanted, I remembered Pita Station was somewhere I hadn't ventured to before and Greek sounded promising, so off I went. The place is really nothing special to look at. You'll walk in and basically have to squeeze down a hallway of waiting customers to get to the register. Though if you'd like to dine in, there's a little restaurant area in the back. What Pita Station loses in space it gains in menu selection. Quite a few Greek/Mediterranean choices and even some Grecian supermarket goods are available for purchase. I walked in with very little idea of what I wanted, but there are weekday lunch specials and the gyro platter sounded like a winner (it was). I would've been content with this, until I took a gander at the starters and found that PS has haloumi. That stuff rocks my quarter-Greek socks! I threw it in the order and paid. From there it was a bit of a waiting game. Probably 20 minutes or so went by before my grub was ready to go, but I'll give the employees behind the register some props because they didn't stop moving. Another set of hands would've been great to help them out, especially with all the lunch orders coming in via physical customer and phone. Signs of a quality place perhaps? I found this out shortly after. Once back at work I dove in to the generous pork gyro platter, complete with tasty rice and a little Greek salad. The pork was a tad fatty, but had great char and a nice flavor to it. As for the haloumi, it totally hit the proverbial spot. There was even some fresh pita bread and creamy tzatziki (as part of the platter) to go along with everything. I might've had too much food for one person, but I was happily stuffed by the end of the meal. Overall, Pita Station is a respectable lunch spot in a sea of not-so-great nourishment options. Was it amazing? I wouldn't go that far. But Pita Station has some freshness to their food and a great selection to boot. I shall return for another round of Greek grub and etch a notch on the side of tastiness for Manhasset eateries. read more

Ooof, this was bad. Just ordered this on Postmates and it was just not good. I thought I was ordering from another Greek place that I guess doesn't exist anymore. I got the chicken souvlaki pita which says that it comes with tzatziki on it. Since it already had tzatziki, I used my one option for addition sauce on their "station sauce," which I assumed was a spicy harissa sauce. I was wrong. First of all, the pita in fact did not have any tzatziki on it at all, so I had absolutely no tzatziki with my pita, even though it said it came with it. Additionally, the pita was engorged in their "station sauce" which is a pathetic mix of ketchup and I think mayonnaise? Sure, that would be great on a burger, but a chicken souvlaki pita?!? I can eat most things and doctor stuff up to make it taste better-- this was beyond the point of any help. I had an error occur with our order delivery last time and George the owner reached out and he informed me due to my food error he called Grub hub and had them revise the food delivery options which shows me how much he cares about his customers!
