The service at this location is excellent and the food was awesome like always. The gyro pita bowl is the way to go. 10/10 recommend.

Where do I even begin?!?…read more The owner Dalida is amazing. Such a joyful and positive person. Couldn't thank her enough for our amazing meals. Mary (I think that's the gal that help when I placed the take out order) has a wealth of knowledge about everything that is offered. Was able to help me by explaining what dishes are, gave great recommendations to pick from and was friendly the entire time. As was everyone else behind the counter. Couldn't be more pleased. Now let's get to the good part. The Food! Everything we got was fresh, delicious and left us wanting more. We got a Tabbouli Salad, Chicken Schawarma with Rice Combo, Meat Plate Comba and Baklava. It was all absolutely amazing. A couple sides to point out.... Chicken Noodle soup was so, so good and the Rice Pudding hit the spot with a little sweetness. Couldn't be more happy with everything we ate and the service we got. Absolutely recommend trying out Woody's Oasis!

I'd ordered Haswi with two sides, it was pretty much seasoned rice with a few crumbs of beef and big dry chunks of chicken white meat mixed in. The tabouleh was soaked with vinegar, but the soup was nice, a flavorful, albeit tangy, potato soup. My companion had a dish that was a mix of spinach, onion and feta wrapped in filo dough and she said it was inedible from all the onion and vinegar. I took it home and heated it up, yes, it was indeed inedible. Into the trash it went. I appreciate the authenticity of the offerings, I'd wished they'd offered a description of what each dish was rather than us standing there looking everything up in Google. But the staff was friendly and very accommodating, the place was clean and bright, and if my friends want to go back I'll go with them.

All of the food was brought out and the same time. The samosas were good, similar to Indian samosas but with a twist. The salad was simple but fresh. The afghan rice was delicious. The lamb was flavorful, but was cooked more well done than my liking and slightly dry. When I think of a kabob I imagine grilled meat, but the lamb didn't have any char, so I'm not sure how it was cooked. Over all the food and service were good. It's nice to try different foods and am glad I tried it. Definitely worth checking out. If I lived closer I would go back, but would try a different dish. Since I don't live in the area, if I found myself back here I would probably try a different restaurant.

A family member of mine spent time in Afghanistan, so I couldn't wait to try some of the cuisine myself. The staff greeted us warmly on arrival, and we took some time to peruse the menu before ordering at the counter. We chose an assortment of Beef and Lamb Shami and Beef Chaplee. I recognized the buzkashi picture on the wall and mentioned to the employee working the cash register that I knew a bit about it. He pulled up a video of a match on YouTube, pointing out that one of the horses in the match is famous. Our food took some time to arrive, but we were not disappointed - fresh and flavorful, plus very generous portions that allowed us to take a box home to enjoy later. If you want to try something a little new and different in the Lansing area, Noosh will fit the bill. Check it out the next time you're in the area!
