Tried this place for lunch recently. Needed a quick lunch. I tried the all meat platter I believe it's called for lunch. Very reasonably priced, I think it was $12.95. The beef part (not sure what it's called exactly) was good as was the rice. It came with some salad which I don't eat. The chicken was not as fresh as I would have liked it honestly. It had some hummus as well on the side which wasn't bad. Service was prompt and cordial. Free parking inside. My one advise would be to make sure the food particularly all the meats are fresh. Would likely try some other of their food at some point. read more

Some items definitely stood out more than others. The falafel and baba ghanoush were the winners, flavorful and satisfying. The rice, however, was a bit underwhelming and could use more personality. We've gotten food here many times and have always been happy. The chicken 911 was very spicy just how my husband likes it. The falafel sandwich was good. It was huge. Portions are large. Food was delivered or picked up, I've never been inside the place. Will order again. Large menu. By the way the food is what I would call Middle Eastern not Mediterranean, although they have gyros. read more

Ordered online. Food was not ready at prescribed time. Had to wait an extra 10 minutes. They forgot to include one of three entrees in my order. Didn't realize that until I got home. Drove all the way back, now 30+ minutes later. "Oh here it is in this bag that's been sitting over here on the counter. We wondered why that was there." (The bag that I specifically asked the first time if it was part of my order and was told it was not.). They gave me the food that had been sitting there for 30 minutes, now cold. They did apologize. They did add a little meat on top. And they did offer me a beverage. But basically trashed my dinner with my family. The 2/3 of the order that they got correct I was told was Ok. What I went back for, in addition to being now cold, was overcooked. Cannot recommend. read more

Food was great and staff also were very helpful and inviting. Chicken was seasoned to perfection and I like she small atmosphere.

Gyro was subpar. The meat was ok but the onions and lettuce weren't great and not enough tzatziki sauce.

I got the assorted chicken platter and wasn't impressed by any of it. This was a totally different flavor palette than I was expecting. The flavors fit Indian food more than Mediterranean dishes. The chicken all had a green hue with odd textures. I'd like to say that I love Mediterranean food, primarily Greek and Egyptian styles. Prices are higher than surrounding places, but portions are huge so that's fine. I threw away more than half of what I ordered. I won't be going back. The chicken kefta rolls had a fresh herbal green taste. It was refreshing and decent. Points for being different but. It something I'd seek out again. The shawarma and kebabs were a let down. This place has different flavors than I think of for Mediterranean food. As a plus, it's more herbal flavors than salt. The poor textured push this past what I'd consider acceptable. read more

I almost want to gatekeep this place because it's so good but I also definitely want to give love and recognition to this place because they are awesome! My boyfriend and I come here at least 1-2 times a week and sometimes I'm there 4 times just because I work nearby and because sometime when we can't come to a decision on where to eat we just always say, "can't go wrong with shwarma." The food is so affordable for what you get,they are so consistently generous and always throw in an extra of this or that on top of the already great amount. Our favorite is the chicken shwarma entree! And I really like the lentil soup from here too. They really do have great service and I am a fan of the aesthetic of place. I personally think the place is quite cute and can genuinely see why this place consistently has such good reviews. Love the place, love the people! read more

The interior is beautiful. The service is OK. It's just very very slow. I know they're new but it's very very slow. It takes a long time to get your food For example, by time I got my food, another couple ordered their food right after me and when I left, they still hadn't received their food, and I had finished my meal, went up and got a little something else, ate that, and they still hadn't gotten their food-- that was at least half an hour to 45 minutes. Price wise, It's on the higher end. I got gyro with fries and a drink and the pita bread was tough and when you went to eat it, it broke in half. It wasn't soft. It wasn't fluffy. Meat was not flavorful. I gave it a try. It's not my thing. It wasn't the best I've had, that's for sure. They sure seemed like they were busy though, so I guess a lot of other people like them, but I give honest reviews and this is my take on it. I've had better gyro sandwiches other places. read more

First time. Ordered the Lunch Meat Special. A truly generous portion of food for the lunch special price, I will get at least two meals! Lunch Meat Special is a combo of Chicken Kabob, Beef Kafta, Chicken Shawarma, AND Falafel. It came with a super fresh salad of lettuce, tomato, cucumber and onion. Also, rice, hummus, and pita bread. Had about 30 mins to spare before heading to an appointment & opted to try Pita Zone for the first time. Clean with friendly staff I chose the lunch special but with all chicken instead of mixed meats. I thought it strange that I was given my order since there was a woman prior to me who seemed to be waiting as well. Wasn't til I got to my car & an employee came out stating I was given wrong order. By this time I had opened the container & chose to chalk up the error as a minor mistake. Verdict of the food~ grilled chicken was flavorful however the hummus, falafel & ground beef were my least favorite. Hummus had a strange aftertaste. And rice lacked seasoning. Being of Lebonese descent I LOVE Mediterranean food but unfortunately don't think I'll do a repeat visit. Note to owners to maybe reconsider another takeout container since the one used was flimsy causing food to spill out into the bag. They opened recently so hopefully will improve in time. read more

Let me use other reviews to comment. The price might be a little high but the portions are large. I've had the chicken tawook and, I think, the chicken tandoori plate. Taste was fine. Plenty of meat. Yes, it can take awhile to get your food but I'll assume that means that they took their time and made it fresh. Oh, also had the baba ghanoush...okay, maybe but I love baba ghanoush and this was not what I like. Maybe better places in Lombard which is now a middle east mecca but this is close and I'm happy it's here. read more

This new spot is convenient and we've tried it a few times in the last few weeks. The chicken shawarma is my favorite. The place looks great inside and has seating available.
