    Fried Yuca

I've been dying to try this place since I started hearing about a new fast-casual dining Brazilian restaurant was opening in Orem. The restaurant is easy to find and really cute inside with colors that reminded me of my home country, Brasil. It's smaller than o expected and almost all tables were full, which is always a good indicator. I ordered a classic feijoada and my wife the grilled chicken plate. We also added a side of Fries Yuca--a classic and a favorite of mine growing up in Recife--and I also ordered suco de Maracujá(passion fruit juice). The feijoada was delicious. The fact that it came with a piece of ribs was delicious. That reminded me a lot of eating feijoada in Brazil back in the day. The rice, farofa, vinagrete and collard greens were also delicious. When mixed together, it was the perfect bite. One of the best feijoadas in the area, compared to other Brazilian places in the state. The passion fruit juice was delicious, it tasted authentic--better than some places where it tastes fake. The yuca was spot on. Not oily, but juicy and not dry at all. My wife said it was too salty, but It was just perfect for me. Also, my wife wasn't crazy about the grilled chicken. It tasted like something you get at Cafe Rio or Chipotle. Nothing special--or Brazilian--to it, to be 100% honest. It wasn't bad, but it want special either. We were treated well by the friendly staff and will definitely come back to try the rest of the menu.

Authentic Brazilian experience! This is quite the find. If you're looking for the real deal Brazilian experience, you'll find it here. Owners are from southern Brazil and take pride in their dishes. How you know it's authentic: The Feijoada comes with farofa. The Stroganoffs come with potato sticks. The passion fruit comes with the seeds. They have Yuka Fries, brigadeiro, and green olives available. Great people, great food! Please support!

So fun trying Pitada Brazil this week! Pitada means "pinch" in Portuguese and I would say that it's an accurate name for this place. So fun to have a little "pinch of Brazil" right here in Utah county! I haven't had much Brazilian food before, so it was really fun to try something different than all the other restaurants around here. I loved the Chicken Stroganoff and would definitely recommend that if you plan on stopping by. The sauce was creamy, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. The service was also great! With it being my first time here, our server helped to answer all our questions and gave great recommendations. You should come here next time you are in the mood for Brazilian.

It is hard in this economy to find food that is delicious, inexpensive and fast. But Pitadas has all three. The food is amazing. I wish I was eating it right now. Everything was seasoned perfectly and fresh as a summers morn. We got two meals for under $20. Try to do that somewhere that has fresh ingredients I dare you. Service was also great. The people at the counter were very helpful and answered all my questions. The only negative thing I could say is the chairs aren't that comfortable but you will probably eat your food so fast you won't notice until you are full.

I came in right before closing on a Wednesday night. I know nothing about Brazilian food, but the owner was very kind and understanding while taking my order. I ordered the feijoada, which comes with a couple of sides and a drink. Something I thought was cool is that this place lets you build your own side salad. The feijoada was flavorful and delicious. The rice and salad both tasted very fresh. The juices are freshly made as well. They have mango, passion fruit, and mint pineapple. I tried them all and they were all great. As I finished checking out, I was informed that there was a special promotion that day and I could get a free dessert. The chocolate mousse was my desert of choice and it was definitely rich and smooth. I look forward to returning soon and introducing this place to more people.

So, I wasn't sure what to expect coming to this place. I've had Brazilian food from a few different places. And it was good. Nothing amazing. Well Pitada showed them all up. All the food here is made fresh daily. They even make their juices and chocolate mousse. (The passion fruit juice is delightful by the way. Limonade was very good too.) I was not prepared for a dish of cozy, comforting, warm you up food. Every element throughout the food was seasoned properly. Even the rice! And they have batata palha and farofa that add texture. (Team texture right here!) I really couldn't decide if I liked the beef or chicken stroganoff better. The fried yuca and fried polenta were also so yummy. The fried polenta reminded me of a hush puppy. Add to all that, the whole plate (rice, entree, and a salad) all come at a very reasonable price. Now I can say we didn't try the grilled chicken or steak. We went with the "right side" of the menu ;). Wanted to try the authentic things. The environment is bright and clean. Carries a great vibe. The staff is friendly and helpful and eager to serve you up good food. I'm already looking forward to my next visit!

Pitada Brazil is the perfect pinch of Brazil. No really. Apparently that's what it means. Pitada=pinch. But it's not your big bbq-style place you normally think of when you think Brazilian. This is the type of food your mom would make for the family on any given day. It's comfort food. It's stroganoff. It's beans and rice. It's food that's been cooking on the stove since this morning. It's food that's been cooked with love.

The food here was amazing. Like so so good. We usually always go to Tucanos when we come to Utah to visit and this year, we cancelled our reservation just so we could eat here a second time before we left. The stroganoff was so delicious and the portion sizes are perfect. Best part: guaraná on tap!!!! Will definitely return next time we're in town.

A dear friend treated me to a quick surprise lunch at Pitada Brazil, and it was well worth our visit. We ordered both their feijoada and their stroganoff, each of which we split between us. Each meal included a salad (which I brought home for my wife) and a tiny roll, and the feijoada included a fried banana. I also tried their all-you-can-drink Brazilian juices with my food. Our food was all priced decently, it was all ready very quickly, and it was all wonderfully delicious---and authentic, I suppose, as my friend who served as a missionary in Brazil can testify. Their service was both friendly and helpful. And their atmosphere was pleasant and good for our mealtime conversation. Considering my experience here, I felt surprised that they weren't busier, but perhaps people are still discovering this Brazilian gem.

Very tasty feijoada. Pão de queijo was excellent. This is a new favorite for my family. Oh, and don't forget the guaraná!

Food: 4/5 Dessert (Bonus!): 4/5…read moreService: 3.5/5 Ambiance: 4/5 This is going to be a long one, apologies in advance. For food, the calmari frita it was called but it was squid, some kind of white fish, shrimp along with fried, thinly sliced red onion, bell pepper and jalapeño. GET THIS, one of the best things of the night! When you do get it, make sure you get bites of the chopped veggie mixture that's buried under all the fried goodness, thank me later. Main course, we got the Parillada de Buenos Aires, this is where the issues start, our waiter said we were able to sub out a couple of the items on platter as tripe and sweetbreads (the glands of a veal if you weren't aware) are not things we enjoy. So we swapped them out for a chicken milenesa and a grilled chicken breast. It also came with 1 each of the sides that were pretty basic, and honestly lacked flavor in comparison (rice, potato salad, house salad, mashed potatoes and roasted veggies). Then the meats it comes with, a half chicken, a 12 oz skirt steak, 4 short ribs, some other grilled cut of meat (menu doesn't specify what kind) and a variety of sausages. The waiter, through super nice, totally messed up the substitutions. He brought them out but from the time ordered to the time we ate was about an hour, and for the correct food to come out took even longer. The food itself was pretty good, meats had great flavor and the milenesa when it came out was hot and juicy. The meats didn't need any dipping sauce because they were that well seasoned. Dessert we had the lemon "cheesecake" which was just a lemon cake with a cream cheese type frosting, not at all what you think of with a cheesecake.
