She gave us many recommendations based on what protein we prefer. We settled on the Arroz Con Pollo. It was DELICIOUS!! I usually don't get chicken dishes that are still on the bone due to having to carve it all off but all of the meat just slid off the bone. The chicken was so tender and perfectly cooked. The entire dish with the onions are perfection. So much flavor for a great price. We will definitely be back!

We tried a seafood dish with breaded fish fillet & other seafood like calamari, mussels, shrimp & even baby octopus in a rich creamy sauce served w/ rice. This was definitely my favorite dish. I got the Huancaina saltado which was a lomo saltado w/ a heaping portion of fettuccine noodles in a creamy sauce. The steak and stir fried veggies were good but the sauce & noodles were kind of bland. We also tried Rubi's Famous Causa Rellena, essentially like a potato salad type of cake. Alright but wouldn't order again. We also tried one of their soecials which was a mix of 3 different seafoods: a ceviche, shrimp chaufa and fried calamari. The calamari was just fine and the ceviche wasn't too good - fish cuts were too chewy & not good. We enjoyed The chaufa tho.

I wish they had or decorated nicer inside and it was more inviting. It definitely is a hole in the wall. The service was good and our waitress was helpful for our first time there. There were a lot of different dishes we tried and wow - would definitely come back for! Everything was had was truly delicious and flavorful. The rotisserie chicken was so juicy and had so much flavor. I loved dipped it in the green sauce. I also enjoyed the Peruvian friend rice and all of the flavor that came with it. The fries were also homemade, crispy, and not super oily at all. The beef was seasoned great and had a lot of good flavor. Everything was super flavorful and tasty. It looks like they are expanding so I hope they make it a nicer interior! Overall, I will be back and I definitely recommend!

So this being my first and only time eating here, I can say it's a recommend from me. I could definitely see why some of the reviews went the way they did though. Three of us walked in and it was not busy and only one table was being occupied. The place was clean and bright. They had a counter person, who I think was also helping in the kitchen because she would only come out if someone walked up to the counter or to deliver food to a table. As we were viewing the menu she asked if it might be a few minutes and when we said yes she went back to the kitchen. So I think there were only two people total working in the entire establishment. She was extremely polite and friendly. I was surprised that with only one other table being occupied that it took fifteen minutes to bring our food out. That's a lot for a fast food establishment. However the chicken was incredibly tasty. The plantains were incredible! And the sweet potato fries and sauces also didn't disappoint. All of the food was very very flavorful and cooked beautifully. We were checked on as well. The amount of food given was very large and worth the price. And yes that's a management issue. I can absolutely see that as it was staffed and how long it took to make each order that if it were even a little busier, people would get very frustrated. I don't think they will be around for long if more good fast food options move in around them and people continue to have bad enough experiences with being under serviced that they won't come back. We had a great experience so I give it 4 stars based on my one experience but you should know it is easy to see you shouldn't go here if it starts to get busy and you don't have much time to get your food.
