We had a flat on I-5 north of Redding on a Saturday. We discovered our spare was also flat. By the time roadside assistance got us moving we were 15 minutes out of town and it was 6:20. This guy was rude as hell. I asked about some tires he had displayed used, but in good shape, he said they were sold but had new ones. He was bullshittin ... He gave me a price on new ones. They were smaller than I wanted and he said the ones outside (used ones) won't work on my truck. They were exact size of the ones I have on my truck. So basically they were for sale he just wanted to trick me into new ones. I asked "so the ones outside aren't sold" he answered "no but won't work on my truck" New ones were better .. lol. Very bad experience with dis- honest tire dealer on Market St ( right next to Redding Beauty School ) I bought 4 new tires ,he said any trouble with tires just come back ( yeah right ) . Well, one tire ( on front drivers side ) developed a bubble in sidewall after less than 30 days ...so I went back . First he tried to say I had run into something with tire , I did not, I am the only driver of my car , I am a good driver, and as a SR citizen I do not even put many miles on my car . So finally he took a tire off the shelf and went behind a barrier to put it on. When he came out from behind the barrier the tire on rim was stained with red Adobe clay ( it was obvious it was a used tire ) . I said that is NOT the correct tire . He kept saying it was . And on top of this whole thing tried to charge me 25.00 !!! I tired to reason with him but no use and I begain to feel intimidated as an older single female . We were at the back of the building NO other customers or anyone around, and he became aggressive with his voice .I felt afraid , so I jumped in my car and left . contacted my friend who helped me buy 2 of the 4 tires, and I had paid for 2 . We went back there this AM Saturday 20th of January. It was very stressful as we both had to be very assertive and raise our voices. We finally got the new replament tire . We then went to Golden State tire on Lake . They put the tire on . Now my car is streeing straight again. That tire store on Market Street . Ali is a horrible business owner. I knew better but Stopped by here in the morning since hes never busy and I only had an hour or so to see if he could do a quick screw repair before I left out of town. He started off rude immediately. Do you need something? I said yeah do you have time today to get a screw out of my front tire. He said no. Turned around and went inside the shop shut the door. Nothing further. I couldn't believe he was so rude and apparently doesn't have time to speak to customers. Went up the road to Tire Cobbler was treated 1000 times better had my tire fixed in no time. DO NOT TRUST THIS BUSINESS. I was tricked into purchasing 4 new tires for my car after one had popped, and noticed immediately that they were used. The son of the owner was extremely rude, and I knew that he was scamming me. However, I needed to get back to the Bay Area that day and left. Dont be tricked! If you call they will say they have what you need. Then when you arrive they say they suddenly dont have it and try to upsale you! Ive heard many variations of this happening to people here! Also had a tire about to be mounted but when I asked to see the date on it he rolled it away from me and said "this tires no good. This Place is awesome! I spent some time trying to find the best deal on tires for my Motorhome, having to buy 6 tires can really set you back. I called all the old stand bys Les schwab ,costco and was pretty close to having tires shipped to my house and finding a place to put them on, the prices were all over the place. So I called Ali @ the tire Depot Not only did he beat everyones price, he worked around my schedule and was on top of the situation. I spoke to Ali weeks ago on 3 tires and a price. On 10/29/13 I came to drop them off to be changed for my trailer. It was a little after 0800 and a worker told me they open at 0830 but what do you need sir? I told him I was quoted a price and by who. He then stated well leave them and I will get it done so you can pick them up after you golf. It wasn't his work time yet but he took the 3 tires anyhow. They have good employees and great service and the best price in town. I know because I called them all. Prices are great. Bought 4 tires and stressed the 26 psi maximum for my car. Paid and went straight to walmart for oil change. Thank goodness walmart checked the tire pressure! The 4 new installed tires were found to be 36 psi to 51 psi. Don't appreciate tire depot not following the psi requirements on my door panel or my instruction! Check your tire pressure afterwards if you decide to purchase tires from them. read more

Picked up a new set of Nexen tires for my 82 Chevy Suburban for a very low price. Following week went on an 1100 mile trip to Ontario and back, with a car in tow for the last 550 miles of the trip loaded and the ride was so smooth the whole way. Awesome tires! Thanks to the previous review we went to the Tire Depot today. Ali was great and so helpful, they beat every other place in Redding that we got tire quotes from. (Walmart actually told my son to buy from TD as they could not beat the price. 4 beefy tires on a Chevy truck for under $700. This is where we will go first from now on! I work in retail, so I have empathy for anyone behind the counter, this is not the case with them. Came here because of a flat tire and since I've already ordered my tires at an other place, I just wanted to have one of my rear tire fixed but instead ALI gave me better price than the other place! So I told ALI and SHAAD to just replace all of it and they did on spot. Within 25 minutes I was out and enjoying my set of tires. Friendly, fast and prices are competitive! Took my car in two years ago to get my tires rotated and as they were pulling my car out I witnessed the front plastic cover underneath the front of my car get caught on something and rip down and then fling back up. When they brought it around to me I could see it had clearly been ripped in the process and was hanging down about 6 inches lower than before so I explained what I saw had happened to the owner who tried to convince me it was already like that and refused to pay for the part (which was only about $45) I had just bought the car and had it completely examined the week prior by my mechanic. When I took it back to my mechanic he said it was NOT like that before or damaged in anyway. When I went back to the owner of tire depot, Ala I think his name was, he still refused to pay for the cheap part that he was responsible for damaging. I bought 4 used tires from the tire depot on north market in Redding. on the way home my car started to shake violently. I was afraid the tires were going to fall off. I took the car back and Ali found a huge bubble in one of the tires he did not have another one the same size so he put on a different width tire and said to keep checking back with him to see if he got the right sized one in. i called several times and he had none. a couple of weeks later he got one in and he put it on. the car was still shaking so we took it back 3 days later. He told us that he would give us credit on a new set but he would only give credit for the two front tires because the back ones were too worn down. What???? He just put one of the back ones on 3 days prior and we drove nowhere except home and back to his shop. this guy is a con and very shady. I will never do business there again and am complaining to the BBB. I work hard for my money and I just threw $200 away. I can't afford tires now and am forced to drive a dangerous and scary car thanks to Ali. read more
