We have been working with one trainer, Patrick, for years so when he moved here a few years back, we moved with him. As for the facility itself, it is such a relief to go to a "gym" where the staff is constantly cleaning!!! And disinfectant is readily available after your training session. Plenty of equipment for all your needs. Whether you are a novice or training for a competition, you will find the right tools to help you with your goals. Now, as it is a training gym, you have to sign up with a trainer. I would recommend talking with a few and see which one best fits your needs, budget and your schedule. Also, you may want to sit in and maybe see a few trainers at work. Again, Patrick is our guy. While he previously helped me maintain a healthy body, he has repeatedly helped me rehab from surgery and injuries. Just this year I was diagnosed with a frozen shoulder. After weeks of professional therapy I finally went back to work with Patrick. His sports background and muscle/bone knowledge helped him create a custom routine for me. By the time I went back to see my physical therapist I was raising by "frozen" hand and amazed my therapist at the amount of progress made in a few weeks. Yeah, pretty amazing!! There are showers for those who need to go to work after their workout and seats for waiting if you arrive early, though your trainer will probably recommend you roll out or warm up to maximize your workout. Oh, and there are a few staff trainers as well as other independent trainers you can work with. Absolutely no reason why you can't find a perfect trainer at the perfect location!

I had contacted the trainer and received no reply, and so I finally reached out and left a message for the staff at Atlas. Chris's wife reached out that night and I was very impressed that they were so quick, she gave me Chris's number and said to reach out to him to get everything figured out. I messaged Chris the next day to see how they can help, per the phone conversation the night before. I sent him all of my text messages showing the personal trainer cancelling, schedule that was supposed to happen, and amount that I paid to this trainer. He said that he would talk to his guys to see about working something out since I paid and received a quarter of the training promised. The discussion with Chris happened on January 7th, I reached back out January 22nd to check in and heard nothing. It is now January 28th and it is silent. I have not received a refund or any makeup sessions with a different trainer as discussed. I am very reasonable and willing to work things out with what they can do to help me, but I am disappointed that I received no update and no messages back on this subject. At the very minimum, I expect to receive an answer - my advice, spend your hard earned money at a gym that actually follows up, cares about clients that come to their facility, and doesn't hire people who can't be trusted.

Please note, most of my missed sections were not my Doctors appointments and if they were you billed me for sessions that were canceled by myself or the trainer themselves. And as far as measurements and weight ins that's all in your sales pitch so please don't go there. I had four trainers in a years time and you forced the third one on me saying Dom wasn't responsible enough or capable of showing up and took too much time off. Let's talk negative reviews all are legitimate or they wouldn't be posted. I paid the window company sixty grand out of pocket no financing like you were payed they stink when it comes to customer service. The painting contractors got paid and didn't do a good job. I give credit where credit is do and you personally made promises you didn't keep. Your response is not truthful but nice cover up! Oh and the trainers are 1099 self employed contractors you can legally pay them as contractors if you lock them into a contract. I showed Matt that he had the upper hand in his leaving your company. You can't have pay them as contractors and call them employees.

This experience was very disappointing. We were cancelling due to health reasons . John Allen is not trustworthy person . He gives false promise and cheat people by taking their money and start ignoring calls and messages once he got the money . I recommend that anyone considering signing up ask for the full written contract and not rely on verbal assurances. I do not recommend anyone to join this place . We felt misled and disappointed by how this was handled. Please make sure you receive all terms in writing before committing to any payment.

I've been a member at Mountainside Fitness in Gilbert for about a year and a half, and…read moreunfortunately my last experience was disappointing enough that I canceled my membership. One morning I was taking my 2-year-old to the Kid Zone when he urgently needed to use the restroom. We were clearly in a rush, but the front desk employee stopped me and insisted I scan a QR code before letting us pass. The interaction felt unnecessarily strict and passive-aggressive. If I didn't have a membership, I wouldn't even be able to use the Kid Zone, so the situation could have been handled with a little more understanding given that I was trying to help my child get to the restroom. What made the experience worse was the tone. It felt like a scene was made in front of my child over something that could have been handled calmly and quickly. For a gym that charges close to $50 a month, I would expect a higher level of customer service and basic courtesy. I spoke with someone at the register afterward and was told the manager would be informed, but it has been over two weeks and I haven't received any follow-up or apology. Between that experience and the already high membership price (especially considering the sauna often smells unpleasant), I decided to cancel my membership. I'm very disappointed and will be going to a different gym moving forward. Unfortunately, I can't recommend this location based on my experience.
