At one point, this gym felt like a safe and professional environment for its clients. Unfortunately, that atmosphere has significantly declined over the past month. I was placed in an extremely uncomfortable and inappropriate situation by one of the trainers, Cynthia, who involved me in ongoing personal drama that should never have extended to a paying client. As someone who comes to this gym expecting professionalism, discretion, and a safe environment, I found the situation deeply concerning. What was even more disappointing was the lack of action taken by management. When I brought my concerns to Jason, the gym manager, and requested preventative measures to ensure I would no longer be subjected to this type of environment, I was told the situation "had nothing to do" with him. As management, protecting the experience and wellbeing of clients absolutely should be a priority. I escalated my concerns further through my trainer to the owner, only to feel dismissed and treated as though my concerns and experiences were invalid. That response was incredibly disheartening. It is truly unfortunate to see the culture and professionalism of this gym decline to this extent. Clients deserve to feel protected, respected, and comfortable in the environment they are paying to be part of. I've never left a negative review before, but this gym absolutely deserves it. The manager and most of there personal trainers are unbelievably disrespectful and unprofessional. It's honestly shocking how poorly they treat paying customers. A gym should be a place that encourages growth and confidence, not one that tears people down or makes them uncomfortable. Save yourself the frustration and find a place that actually cares about its members. This gym needs a complete change in leadership and staff attitude before it deserves anyone's business. This gym was not it, to say the least. Is an ok gym for beginners and older crowd, though. The building is a great size but they use the space horribly. There's random crap/equipment all over the floor with no intention. A few machines were broken. A whole rack of straight bars had an out of order sign on them???? It's clear that staff has no respect for the space, as shown by the mess and lack of organization. Additionally, we saw two trainers with clients (one male and one female). The male trainer was seen taking off a 50lb dumbbell from rack and bringing it to his client on a bench, they did one set then simply left it there on the ground. The female trainer was with a client using 2-3 machines/areas at a time, used a barbell for deadlifts in the middle of the grass area (when there's a whole room in the back dedicated to those types of lifts) then left the barbell there (with the weights still on). The quality of the machines is subpar at best. Seems like they just bought random machines for sale. And for these reasons - the nearly $50/month membership is certainly not worth it. I'd much rather deal with the EOS crowds because, for the most part, you are guaranteed good equipment and a clean space. There are other gyms in the valley that are MUCH smaller, but they use the space beautifully. If you are an advanced lifter and/or have some respect for the gym culture, this is not the place for you. read more

I started coming to this gym because I train with Jason Strayhand as my trainer during the week. He is the best trainer, always super motivating and knowledgeable. As far as the gym is concerned, the space and equipment is always clean, functioning, and the people are super courteous. I have not run into any issues with overcrowding or people sitting on their phone on equipment, like you may commonly see in commercial gyms. The people at the front desk are super friendly, especially Christina. They also have the option to get protein shakes after your workout! I have not tried their wellness stuff but they do offer options for cold plunge, massage, etc.. read more

My family and I have been going to this gym for several years and we have never been treated so horribly in the last month. This gym is so money hungry they can't even see through positive intentions. They've been harassing my 18-year-old daughter and my friend for the past several weeks. They are disgusting. Don't go to this gym. They're extremely judgmental and don't care about who you are and what you're dealing with on your personal health journey. They don't care about their members and they deserve to be closed. I will be filing a consumer complaint with both the Attorney General and the Better Business Bureau. Ironically they just lost a family membership plus the personal trainer that my son uses. So literally they are now losing a ton of money for being assholes. Good job guys! I love this gym. It has everything you need and more. Sleds, bands, Smith Machine stations, squat racks, glute machine, leg extensions, hack squat, upper body machines, lots of cables, and heavy dumbbells with lots of benches. Spin bikes, stairs, treadmills etc. 2 RED LIGHT booths!!! Leg compression, infrared saunas, cold plunge, hot tub, steam room in locker room and very nice staff. Open 24 hours a day. Been looking for a new gym because as I'm sure many know, the popular commercial gyms here in the valley have become VERY popular and are to over crowded. I was looking around and saw that there were a bunch of people mentioning this place. So I decided to try it out. For some context, I would say I'm more on the "expert" side of lifting. I've been seriously lifting for about 2 years now and go roughly 5-6 times a week. Now back to the gym. One thing I love about this gym, well really one of the only things is this gym was not very busy during the entire workout. And I was there during peak hours of normal gyms (5-8 P.M). That part was nice. The only other thing that was nice was the shape the equipment was in. However for the price of a memebership, you'd expect some top tier, or at least better equipment then what you might find at an EOS or Vasa. However the equipment is pretty much similar to what you'd find at your $10 a month membership gym. I'm top of that you'd expect wifi to be free to all members. Nope. Only if you pay the $60 which in my opinion is ridiculous. Lastly the vibe was off. I'm not sure it felt like a wannabe private gym that felt eerily similar to the vibes you'd get at like a crunch fitness. I know gyms are for unique to everyone and people should definitely try a day pass since it's free. But personally if you sound like you are similar to me when it comes to working out, maybe don't waste your time trying this out. Find a different place instead. read more

Small but really they have everything one needs; machines, squat racks....classes, cardio.....turf for you HIIT needs. The one thing I appreciate is that they cater to everyone- they even have a dedicated "power" room for strength training and powerlifting. Also they have a couple different bars; ssb, multigrip bar for benching, trap bars....chains, and a deadlift bar along with a deadlift jack. Also in the back was an area for personal training which seems to be what the members liked. 24 hour access as well. Clean....complimentary towels and a lounge area to eat and chill. Forced out the team that made elite what it was, fired all the trainers, and is lying all over social media. Not only that, they are scamming people out of their money that had paid for training prior to COVID with trainers they sacked. I have been a member of the gym before and after the change in ownership (5+ years). By far the best gym I've ever been too with great equipment, facilities and even free instructor led group classes. The staff and members are friendly, positive and welcoming to everyone. The gym is always clean and with COVID they have adapted to provide a safe environment. Such a great community of members and trainers. All of the trainers are top notch. I've worked with TJ, Tucker, Justin and more from time to time. All amazing and will change your body if you come to work. I have specifically worked with Justin because of my demanding schedule over the past 2.5 years. He pushes me harder than I would ever push myself. He tailors the workouts to your goals and I notice serious performance increases. He has been instrumental in the changes I've seen in myself. I'm not sure why there are any negative reviews: likely trolls. I do not know of any member who has issues if they are serious about working out. Try it out for yourself and you won't regret joining. Regrettably writing this review as a member since June of 2017. Prior to the pandemic requiring businesses to shut down, this gym was my home away from home. I knew all of the trainers, the owner who was at the gym every day, the staff who knew your name when you walked in, and even the dogs who would occasionally make an appearance at the front desk. However, during the pandemic, some sort of dispute arose between the owners and 'new management' was put into place. They fired all prior staff and trainers, claiming to have offered them their jobs back - which is unfounded and untrue. These trainers were experts, with undergraduate degrees in their field. Creative geniuses when it came to developing new workouts. I trained with Tyler three days a week over the course of a couple of years. The previous staff, trainers, and the owner who showed up daily built that gym and the family-like culture that made people want to pay a little extra for the experience. People were already struggling during this pandemic, and then to fire this hard-working group of people is just heartless and bad business. I invested a lot of time and money into the "old" Elite Fitness, but now I've been lied to numerous times by Craig, the new manager. It's a real shame. They also deleted my comments on social media, which were in no way belligerent or false, simply requesting a copy of the contract so I can review the terms and conditions for receiving a refund for previously paid for training with Tyler. I signed up for the gym this January. I was a little worried I would feel out of place, but all of that changed within 2 minutes of being there. The staff is very nice and welcoming. I love this gym. It's not too busy, has a lot of squat racks and is always clean. However, since COVID-19 reopening the gym staff and owners showed their true colors. There is absolutely no care with people wearing their masks properly, including the staff and trainers. 70% of people at this gym wear their masks under their chin. At this point, is this not common sense to cover your nose? 10$/month gym have done better than this. They pretend to care about cleaning, but all the research shows that doesn't do much if people aren't masked properly. I brought this up repeatedly to whoever is working and I get lousy promises and excuses "we lose clients if we tell them to wear their masks" ok well, you're gonna lose anyone who cares about their health if you keep this up. read more

The meeting went really well! I tried Elite out now again for close to a month and I can honestly say I am very happy with the service I received. The employee that shouted across the gym at me is no longer employed there and the remaining staff has been nothing but friendly. Their class have been good and focused on my individual needs even in a group setting. The facility is top-notch as I mentioned before. The facility at Elite is one of the best I've been in. Everything is new at this location and there are tons of machines everywhere. Even at its busiest, I've very rarely had to wait for a machine or squat rack, and if I have it's been for 2-3 minutes max. I've taken advantage of the steam room and the studio classes (free with membership) and I've loved both. The steam room is available during staffed hours and it's a nice way to relax after a workout. As part of the towel service, there are both smaller towels for during your workout as well as full sized towels for the steam room/shower. The studio classes include yoga, cycle, strength training, etc. I came in for my 5-day trial and loved every aspect of the gym. Every member interaction I've had has been pleasant and the friendly staff makes this a great place to come. For the price, I'm very happy with the gym and the additional amenities. The only thing I'd love to be added would be a boxing heavy bag, but there's plenty to do here that it's not a huge issues to me. read more

Elite was easily a 10 star gym until new management. All the positive things said on reviews you read are from the past six years, NOT as of 5/22/20. Be aware that after the COVID-19 stay at home orders were lifted (that left staff not working for two months), new management informed staff they were not needed to come back the day before re-opening. They're also now spreading lies about previous management. How do you think previous management got all the positive reviews on yelp and other platforms? I have to update my review. During the pandemic shutdown, the gym changed ownership or management. The trainers I had been working with were not hired back, so I requested a refund on my unused training sessions. I called and requested a refund, and the new manager Craig called me back and gave me an email address to make the request through. After two requests in a week with no response, I resorted to initiating a bank dispute to hopefully get my money back. This would never had been an issue previously. You can see why I loved Elite in my previous 5 star review. They were family and care about their clientele. Maybe the new management will too, but everyone who cared about the old Elite team is gone, and their lack of support and communication during the transition does not inspire confidence. I stopped by to cancel my membership as a result, and the place was empty. At least cancellation was painless, as I suspect there has been a lot and they have gotten some practice. The old review. I had been working out at LA Fitness for years,but realized if I wanted to make any real progress I needed to find a trainer to show me what to do. I was welcomed immediately, and after comparing it to a few other places for personal training, it was an easy decision. I had an injury to a knee, so they assigned me Javier as he had experience dealing with clients with injuries. He has been fantastic, and has pushed me way beyond what I thought I could ever do. The rest of the staff is just as professional and fun. I am greeted by name every time I go to the gym, and they have all given me tremendous support in my journey to fitness over the past year. The facility is small, but it gives you access to equipment you won't get in a big box gym. Unlike what I have witnessed at the bigger box gyms, the trainers all care about their clients. I cannot tell you how angering it is to go back to another gym and just see a trainer go through the motions. You will not see that at Elite. If you put forth the effort, they will help you see amazing results. In the end, it's all about the results. I could never have done it without the entire staff at Elite. At 51, I am in the best shape I have been in my life. I have gotten off my meds, and looking forward to continuing and seeing where I can take it! This gym has changed completely. I was a member of this gym dating back 15 years, to the owners original location in Chandler. I followed him to 4 different locations because his gym was run so spectacularly. The current Elite Fitness is no longer run by him. They took his name, pretend to be the same place, and not one of the people that made Elite Fitness- Elite Fitness still works there. Let's be clear, the gym was only exceptional because of the hard work of its people. Clean, professional, responsive, unparalleled training and expertise. This gym is running like Weekend at Bernies. All members were left in the dark as a hostile takeover took place, which eliminated the only reason this gym was special. Now this is just a room with weights. ---- Brand new location and equipment. 24 hour access. Well designed and clean interior with top of the line equipment. This gym allows all the local trainers (the term essentially means anyone who watched a youtube video and felt that equates to a graduate degree) to bring their clientele in and "train" them. This means that one must work around clusters of training groups at the equipment. They also jump in your equipment (circuit training is impossible here), have no understanding of weight room etiquette, and no respect for paying customers who have real jobs and are trying to get efficient training sets in. Lastly, they offer packages for IR saunas and ice baths. This is also a joke-there are 1 each and they are always in use. Save your money and go to EOS for $10/month. Its less pretentious, cheaper, and not masquerading as an athletic establishment. read more

I had been a member at Elite for over a year and a half before COVID-19 when an owner dispute caused new management to take over the gym. When doing so, they pushed out all of the staff who had truly built the gym with their expertise. This was a gym that felt supportive and like a family. I felt like the trainers really cared about my health goals. They all knew me by name and I loved the local atmosphere. However, the new management has been very shady when returning funds for previously paid personal training sessions with staff they fired.
