Great old time diner options, with good service and friendly staff. Always a pleasure to dine with them !

Food was decent and service was efficient and pleasant. The hashbrown bowl was a hit but the steak tasted off.

Rating 1.5 / 5.0 Me and my mom came by to grab something to eat just out of curiosity and for old time's sake, because we had not been here in at least a decade probably. Pitt Grill is definitely a far cry from what it used to be. The Ribeye - This steak looked absolutely miserable. The Okra & Squash - Was just decent and then after the second and third bite, you realize that the batter and grease are hard to sift through in order to find the flavor of the vegetable. The Fries - Frozen and just okay. The Bacon - A little overdone, but again, okay. The Drinks - Decent. In the end and overall, something told me to stop eating and so I had to. While sitting in, the building was smoked up and therefore suffocating. You wanted to desperately open the door or crack a window open. read more

4 stars for a 3 star place! It might be in need of a remodel, but one could call it divey and would make it popular in the big cities to the West. Service is very friendly, helpful with tips during ordering, kept the empty dishes cleared and they kept the glasses full. I had the Real Man Burger Special. It is two 1/3 pound char grilled burgers with double cheese, plenty of bacon, lettuce leaves, thick ripe tomato slice, dill pickle slices and topped with a large egg. I added a side salad to go with the fries. The star of the show was the perfectly caramelized patties. The co-star was the over easy egg. It was wort a standing ovation! The reason for the extra star in my rating is the char grilling and low price for a great meal. read more

First time here and last. Place is filthy. Dirty dishes every where and dirty floors, walls. Plus they allow smoking. I didn't pick the place or drive there. We ate. I had grilled ham and cheese. No fries because the fryer was out of order so I had mashed potatoes and gravy. It was all no good. I will never go back. Clean the walls, floors, dishes. Fix the bathroom that's out of order and don't let people smoke and I might think about stoping back in........Now that I think about it probably not. Just do you I guess, you still have business. 03/20/2022 During my cross country travels in search of my next investments. On Sunday, I came across this small town feel diner with a warm welcome. Waitress was very attentive and when asked for a recommendation without hesitation she mentioned the "Real Man's Plate" (Burger, Egg /w Fries). This burger was absolutely delicious and I found my cup always full. Ever wonder where the locals eat, I believe it's this place. Keep in mind there is a smoking and non-smoking section so indoor smoking is an option. Just as it was everywhere in the mid 1980's. I do not smoke but it brought back fond memories of Mc D's and ashtrays on tables. If you happen to be in the area and are looking for a small hole-in-the-wall diner. Then this is a must visit. read more

I enjoy this restaurant because you get to see you the cook, cook your meal. They have a friendly atmosphere, and they enjoy serving you. The meals are plentiful more than you can probably eat at one sitting. It is a local crowd. read more

2/6/22 Hello people myself and husband are TRUCK DRIVERS and we where coming from Dallas TX to North Carolina and I found this place for us to eat I got 2eggs 3 bacon 2 sausage hashbrown and toast it was all made fresh hot and good .My husband got the ribi steak and eggs hashbrown and toast his steak was perfect. So any truckers or traveler this is a must stop...We will be back marked on my map!!!!! read more

Upon walking in the restaurant we were greeted by unwanted looks. The one waitress at the bar said to sit anywhere & let us know the AC wasn't working. We got us a table and sat about 7 minutes. We were never told to be patient, we'll be right with you nor let me fix you a drink while you wait. No one ever came to take our order. We walked out & left. It is my opinion that this is not a "colored friendly " establishment which is why we didn't feel welcome & received the unwanted stares. The last straw was witnessing a different waitress adjust a sweat rag she had on her neck over the food in the kitchen. That was it.That did it for us and highly unsanitary. Pros: Decent food at a decent price. Generous servings for the $$. Nice, thick sliced bacon. Loved the split, toasted biscuits. Similar to a Waffle House. Cons: a little slow on the coffee refills, could be cleaner, has that greasy dive feel. Would stop again, though. read more

It really shouldn't take 30+ minutes to reheat some chicken tenders, scoop out a bowl of pre-made chili, and piece together a tiny cheeseburger. Except I guess it probably too that long to burn the meat to a crunchy crisp. read more

If you like old school diners... this is the place for you. Think Waffle House on steroids. Waitresses are as sweet as Texas sweet tea... the food is exactly what you would've expected 40 years ago. If you're looking for a little slice of old school eatin' you can't go wrong here and if you're a smoker... they have a section for you. read more

Absolutely the worst restaurant I have ever entered. Negative 5 stars if available. Smoking at the food d counter, food and dirty dishes that where never cleared from the food counter in the time I was there( which was FOREVER). Waitress smoking behind the counter where the food is cooked. Bags of raw ground beef sitting out under grille, pools of blood in the bags. So many food safety violations I am tempted to call a public health official. Overall the environment was disgusting, the service was comically slow and the cook was totally overwhelmed by the three order tickets that where in front of him. This is the kind of place that makes people pass on the local choice. Do not eat here even if its the last option on earth! read more

Too be fair, this place had delicious food! That's the only reason I gave them one star. Maybe I should give them two because the waitress was friendly and capable enough. But, the place was filthy!! The only reason we didn't leave immediately after walking in was because we're in a 43' motorhome & you can't park just anywhere. The food was good enough that I convinced myself that I was being too picky. That was until the cook came out from behind the counter with a fly swatter. She wandered all over the dining area swatting flys & flinging bug guts all over the place When she swatted one on the wall over an eating customers head I thought I'd seen it all. But then she got a can of bug spray, stood up in the booth right next to some ladies eating lunch, and sprayed the ceiling fan so that the customer was trying to cover her food. Luckily, we were on the other end of the restaurant but our luck ran out when she began chasing a huge moth through the place swinging her bug gut soaked fly swatter around the entire place. My grandson had polished off his plate & was working on mine but I couldn't take any more. I practically shoved my husband out of the booth to get out. I was either going to throw up or go off on the woman so I thought it best to remove myself from the nastiest place I've ever eaten!! read more

This place is a relic of the ancient word, where the food is questionable looking but surprisingly satisfying, despite most of it being reheated frozen fare. Everything is covered in an amber grease coat that has hardened to a matte finish over the millennia, the ceiling is patched in repairs, and the building is a throw back to the 70s. Don't come here looking for a gourmet meal, but if you're hungry and want something that resembles good food, stop in and enjoy the experience. The staff was friendly, and the service prompt. Real man breakfast should be renamed Childs plate. That small breakfast and coffee was over $10.00.
