Chicken sandwhich was hefty! Love the steak cut fries that came with it. The didn't taste gammy at all. Lovee everything about the bruschetta especially the toast and mozzarella. The angus beef were tender and well seasoned. The baklava was dry and kind of stale ? Our server was nice, and lits of seating inside and outside.

Hidden Gem - Mediterranean restaurant located in South Chandler. I have came to Pitta Souvli many times in the last few years and have never had a bad experience. The service is wonderful, staff are always nice and provide quick service. The atmosphere is great! You have the option to eat inside or outside, both options are great but I definitely recommend outside. There are plants surrounding the patio and misters that keep the area cool. We went on a day that was 93°F and I was actually starting to get cold on the patio. The best dish they have is the Spanakopita, it is perfectly flaky with a nice ratio of spinach to feta. I get it everytime. I also had the lamb (medium rare) souvlaki pita sandwhich with Greek Fries. The lamb was cooked perfectly, it was not gamey, and the size of the lamb chunks fit perfectly in the pita. Would recommend trying this dish out if you like lamb. As someone who is Greek I am extremely picky and do not usually enjoy going to Mediterranean restaurants, I avoid them at all costs. This restaurant is not one that I avoid at all. The food here reminds me of family cooking and I beyond recommend checking them out

This place is located slightly West of NW corner of Alma School and Germann. It is fairly small so depending on the day reservations may be helpful. The people are very friendly and helpful with suggestions. The menu does have the standard Greek options but then there are some Italian fusion type options as well. The grilled pesto salmon was good but on the small side so we should have ordered an appetizer because we left hungry. For the price relative to some other Greek places the portions were smaller. The seasoning was good but not outstanding. Overall good for a small get together but not my top choice.

find some thing for them to munch on. I'm tired of the fast food so I've been only going to locals. This popped up and best gyro. I love Mediterranean food and this place was great! I ate the burger and the gyro and we all shared them. I got it to go and it was quick and wrapped well.

I still dream about this place. While road-tripping across the U.S. with my boyfriend, we decided on a whim to drive 30 minutes out of our way to eat here--and I'm so glad we did. We ordered the sweet and spicy fig hummus, babaganoush, lamb and chicken souvlaki platters, and a baklava cheesecake, along with two glasses of red wine from different regions. Everything was outstanding and generously portioned. The staff was warm, knowledgeable, and passionate, clearly explaining the ingredients, culture, and preparation behind each dish. With cozy indoor and outdoor seating, we left full and happy. If I'm ever in Chandler, AZ again, I'll absolutely be back! Service: 5/5 Atmosphere: 4/5 Food: 5/5 Drinks: 5/5

My wife and I truly enjoyed a wonderful meal in this cozy and pleasing atmosphere. Arriving for happy hour, we split a 1/2 price delicious bottle of Chardonnay. We split the garlic shrimp appetizer. The sauce was so delicious that we soaked the pita slices in the sauce and once we finished the pitas, we spooned the remaining sauce as soup! We enjoyed a nice slow and quiet Friday evening. The didn't blast music, yet it wasn't awkwardly silent. Great ambiance. For dinner, my wife enjoyed the salmon with pesto, which was quite delicious. I enjoyed the lamb souvlaki, which was quite tasty. Lamb is a less frequent meal option and I enjoy it when available. As if we hadn't enjoyed ourselves enough already, we split a limoncello cake. The filling was tasty and the cake was moist and not overly sweet. Overall, this was a great new restaurant find for us and we will be revisiting.

I love meeting friends at this family owned hidden gem for lunch, especially when its cool enough to sit outside on their patio. My favorite menu item is their Greek Chef's Salad with gyro meat. Just look at my photo. Go ahead, look at it. Would you just look at it? Hard boiled egg, mixed greens, tomatoes, red bell pepper, kalamata olives, red onion, cucumber, topped with a house vinaigrette and generous portions of protein, shaved parmesan and grated feta, flanked by pita wedges so soft and fresh, you'd swear you just swam ashore to Thessaloniki after shipwrecking in the Thermaic Gulf. The staff has always been friendly and attentive over the decade or so that I've been a customer. You really have to experience it for yourself.

This is a mom and pop place you're going to want to support. It went hidden from us for years. The service is always friendly and attentive. It's always clean and the staff stay busy. The food, is always over the top good. Lots of fresh and clean options. And the desserts, never disappoint. But once they're gone, you'll have to wait til the next day.

Service was great. The food was not Mediterranean food. The lamb tasted like pot roast. The group agreed that this food was just ok.

I was reminded why I don't dine here more frequently, they put the 'meh' in Mediterranean. Starting with the ambiance, this place is looking old and weathered. Their store front is not very inviting. Once inside, you navigate through their dining area to the counter to order. The counter area looks more like an advertisement for other establishments...stickers, ads, coupons, notes and all sorts of motley items. The man who I think was doing three jobs in one (host, order taker, bathroom attendant) took my order and walked away. No friendly hello or enthusiasm of any kind. Once I took my seat I watched several people use their store just for the bathroom in the back...the back where there's no door separating the dining area vs. kitchen vs. warehouse vs. bathroom. People were standing in a line to use the restroom a foot from where my food was being made. I ordered a simple gyro sandwich with rice. The sandwich was pretty straight-forward: gyro slices, onions, tomatoes and tzatziki. When it arrive, there was no sign of tomatoes or onion...just different shades of brown drowning in too much tzatziki. I eventually found several onions and one tiny tomato underneath all the meat. Underneath...what a poor presentation. The rice was okay...nothing special. There was nothing here that would draw me back. Having several other Mediterranean food options within miles that I do enjoy has relegated this place to 'in emergency break glass' status.

Overall the portions are good sized but you should get extra sauce such as tzatziki because there isn't any in the pita as served. The combo platter is a good option to get a variety of appetizers. This a counter service restaurant, so once we paid we were fortunate to grab a table with only two available inside. Our food arrived about 10 minutes later. Everything looked soooo appetizing on the menu and since I was going to meal prep this week, the Al Sham Chicken Combo caught my eye. The kofta was great as well but would definitely come back more for their shawarmas but it's definitely the best bang for your buck I also got some baba ganoush on the side to dip my fries in but unfortunately, I thought the baba ganoush was too lemony/there was too much sumac added so it wasn't as enjoyable. Most baba ganoush I've tasted in my hometown also had a smokey flavor to it from the eggplant so it really couldn't compare.

They were dry on top where others I've had over the years appear to be covered in honey. And worse, they tasted bad. The nuts were going bad and had that rancid taste.
