My family loves this restaurant. Me and my wife always get the lamb kebab platter and our son usually gets Gyro meat and spaghetti. They have a really nice outdoor patio that is contained by very tall bushes. I think they are artificial, but it is still a really nice ambience. read more

Food was so good. The ingredients and the quality is the best and you can taste it. Their pesto is a must try. The platter had rosemary infused potato ( too good), A salad ( that's so refreshing) falafel ( delicious ) with a little hummus drizzled on top however no hummus for the pita. It would be have been nice to have a little hummus for the pita to go with. Chicken sandwhich was hefty! Love the steak cut fries that came with it. The didn't taste gammy at all. Lovee everything about the bruschetta especially the toast and mozzarella. Hidden Gem - Mediterranean restaurant located in South Chandler. I have came to Pitta Souvli many times in the last few years and have never had a bad experience. The service is wonderful, staff are always nice and provide quick service. The atmosphere is great! You have the option to eat inside or outside, both options are great but I definitely recommend outside. There are plants surrounding the patio and misters that keep the area cool. We went on a day that was 93°F and I was actually starting to get cold on the patio. The best dish they have is the Spanakopita, it is perfectly flaky with a nice ratio of spinach to feta. I get it everytime. I also had the lamb (medium rare) souvlaki pita sandwhich with Greek Fries. The lamb was cooked perfectly, it was not gamey, and the size of the lamb chunks fit perfectly in the pita. Would recommend trying this dish out if you like lamb. As someone who is Greek I am extremely picky and do not usually enjoy going to Mediterranean restaurants, I avoid them at all costs. This restaurant is not one that I avoid at all. Delicious food. We walked in here after a workout at Mountainside Fitness. We got steak fries with steak seasoning for appetizers. Good but not great. I ordered the pesto salmon and my date got a caprese pesto burger. Both good. Couscous had a weird aftertaste and salad was perfect on my plate. Loved the garlic toast! This place is located slightly West of NW corner of Alma School and Germann. It is fairly small so depending on the day reservations may be helpful. The people are very friendly and helpful with suggestions. The menu does have the standard Greek options but then there are some Italian fusion type options as well. The grilled pesto salmon was good but on the small side so we should have ordered an appetizer because we left hungry. For the price relative to some other Greek places the portions were smaller. The seasoning was good but not outstanding. Overall good for a small get together but not my top choice. read more

I have never seen what the hype is about this restaurant! The staff is friendly, the restaurant is clean, but as far as Greek food, I haven't been impressed. More than once I've ordered gyros and it comes as big chunky pieces of lamb. We ordered the sweet and spicy fig hummus, babaganoush, lamb and chicken souvlaki platters, and a baklava cheesecake, along with two glasses of red wine from different regions. My wife and I truly enjoyed a wonderful meal in this cozy and pleasing atmosphere. Arriving for happy hour, we split a 1/2 price delicious bottle of Chardonnay. We split the garlic shrimp appetizer. The sauce was so delicious that we soaked the pita slices in the sauce and once we finished the pitas, we spooned the remaining sauce as soup! We enjoyed a nice slow and quiet Friday evening. The didn't blast music, yet it wasn't awkwardly silent. Great ambiance. For dinner, my wife enjoyed the salmon with pesto, which was quite delicious. I enjoyed the lamb souvlaki, which was quite tasty. Lamb is a less frequent meal option and I enjoy it when available. As if we hadn't enjoyed ourselves enough already, we split a limoncello cake. Just look at my photo. Go ahead, look at it. Would you just look at it? Hard boiled egg, mixed greens, tomatoes, red bell pepper, kalamata olives, red onion, cucumber, topped with a house vinaigrette and generous portions of protein, shaved parmesan and grated feta, flanked by pita wedges so soft and fresh, you'd swear you just swam ashore to Thessaloniki after shipwrecking in the Thermaic Gulf. This place is a neighborhood secret and I'm so glad I stopped by. It's hidden in the back corner near the mountainside fitness. Been in business for 18 years, family owned, and so cute. There is a garden with misters and indoor seating. The garden is shaded because it's in a courtyard. The avocado hummus was incredible! You can taste the fresh garlic and olive oil. Laura was our server, she was great! The food was some of the best Mediterranean food we've had. We had the Gryo platter which featured some of the most tender meat ever! It also had a side Greek salad that was fresh with lots of veggies and a great vinaigrette. The other side was lemon potatoes, WOW, it actually had lemon flavor! We also had the spicy avocado dip with pita and spanakopita (outstanding). Double thumbs up! We were there at happy hour and had a half price bottle of Pinot Noir, that we couldn't finish so we took it home with us. We ate outside on a very cute patio surrounded by well groomed trees. It was private, quiet, and very pretty. We aren't sure why it took us so long to find this place, Laura said the restaurant had been there 19 years! Pitta Souvli has the best lamp chop I have ever had! It was my first time at Pitta Souvli, we came in for dinner, apparently they have daily specials. Wednesday they had 3 dollars off the lamb chops and 2 dollars of the lamb souvlaki platter. We started off our dinning experience with the happy hummus, basically comes with bell peppers and onions with pita bread. I really liked it, because the peppers added a little crunch. For our main meal, we got the lamb chop platter which came with a side salad, pita bread and rice. Everything thing on my plate was marvelous. The lamb chops were so tender and so juicy, I ordered medium. It literally gave me so much joy to eat the lamb chops. I ordered another lamb chop platter to go before we finished our food. That's how you know the food was such a treat to our taste buds. Their lamb souvlaki platter was good as well but the lamb chops took it home for me. I sat myself in an open seating option on their outside dinning patio. The host brought me a food and drink menu. They have loads of unsweetened tea options!!! I then spoke to Molly about my preferences. She recommended a combo meal and since she knew I loved the Greek salad she gave me the wonderful option of doubling up!!! Reading all of the Yelp reviews, my husband and I had to try out Pitta Souvli Mediterranean Grill on our latest visit to Phoenix Arizona! Pitta Souvli is located in Chandler, Arizona. The restaurant is in a shopping plaza next to a few other businesses such as Sport Clips Haircut and AutoZone Auto Parts. Parking is limited, though. As soon as you walk inside the restaurant, you'll notice how beautiful it is! The outside seating was amazing with all the plants and greenery. There were also heating lamps available too for the cold winter months. My husband and I sat inside, though. Since this was our first time inside the restaurant, we spent about 10 minutes looking at all the different options. Unfortunately, water wasn't initially provided. Once the team member who was assisting us took our order, another team member brought out waters 10 minutes later. It wasn't too busy inside the restaurant as we were having a late lunch around 1:30 P.M. Looking over the menu, we had decided to order the following Pita Sandwich (Chicken Souvlaki) filled with lettuce, tomatoes, onions & tzatziki. I had requested hummus instead of tzatziki sauce instead since I love hummus! A side of Greek Fries Gyro Plate with potatoes and a side salad. Service was a little slow. We didn't receive our meal until 40 minutes later. The Pita Sandwich was missing the hummus, unfortunately, and the chicken was also burnt. I ate most of it, though! I couldn't eat the French Fries. It had a lot of rosemary topped on the Greek fries. The French Fries were drenched in the oil that most of the French Fries were soggy. My husband enjoyed the gyro platter! He thought the gyro meat was flavorful, and the side salad blended well with the potatoes. Portion sizes are pretty big! We have had other experiences with different Mediterranean restaurants, and Pitta Souvli Mediterranean Grill is decent. read more

It's a nice place with indoor and covered outdoor seating. We ordered the Greek salad with Mahi Mahi, and Happy Hummus with lamb. They were both very good, especially the lamb. We had the Chipotle hummus and another one the waitress suggested. Both were delicious. The service was very good too. I think it's a great place to have lunch with friends. This is a cautionary tale that thankfully came out on the right side. It stems from a very inexperienced employee who created a customer service problem and a shift leader andowner who stepped in to make sure it was handled properly. I was in town for the weekend, staying with several other families in an AirBnB. I called the restaurant directly to ask about ordering a family-style meal for 6 people. I wanted to have some kababs with rice, salad, pita, hummus, etc and let people serve themselves. The gal who answered the phone said they don't have family style meals but have catering so I described what I wanted and asked what the price would be. She told me that she was new and she'd call me back with the answer. I waited and then called her back and she told me that it would be over $200! (normal souvlaki plates are $16-19ea, so this was almost twice as much) I said no thank you but she told me they already prepared the food (even though I had never agreed to the order). I was very tempted to ditch everything and write a -1 yelp review.... Thankfully, she realized that she needed help and got the shift leader and owner involved who immediately recognized the problem. We agreed that I would pay the equivalent of the plates and I went to pick up the food. It did taste great and was very nice. The shift leader apologized profusely and included a little baklava as a consolation prize. read more

Pitta Souvli is a dine-in or take out Mediterranean grill in South Chandler. The restaurant is slightly more upscale than I expected and the service and ambiance were both very good. The location is tucked away in a shopping center so you don't want to miss it. The menu is a blend of appetizers, pitas, and entrees along with a full bar. There is both indoor and outdoor seating available. We had the jalapeno hummus and it was excellent. For our meals, we kept it easy and had falafel and chicken shawarma. The sandwiches were both pretty good and the french fries in particular were excellent. I would compare the fries to NJ/NY diner style well-done steak fries. I would definitely go back and check out some of the house specialities to give something a try beyond the pitas. Overall, nice spot and a pleasant surprise. read more

A group of ladies & I ate lunch here on Tuesday, 6/17/25. Luckily we arrived at 11:30 & they had a regular table available. In my opinion, they have too many high top tables. Apparently my friend saw a group leave because they had no regular tables left inside (& no one was outside because it was over 110 that day) The Staff were very friendly & restaurant was clean. We appreciated the eclectic mix of small plates on the table. Unfortunately, we were underwhelmed by the food, (2 of us had just returned from a trip to Greece) it didn't have much flavors. I got the chicken pesto flatbread, a friend got a tuna pita, another got a beef pita, & 2 ladies ordered the Pikilia - A variety platter of hummus, baba ghanoush, dolmades, spanakopita, & falafel croquettes. I had a Lamb Burger and it was very flavorful and cooked just like I asked. My wife had a gyro with a greek salad which was outstanding. The service was very friendly and helpful making recommendations on what she liked on the menu when we asked her about a couple of entries we were considering. The atmosphere was very pleasant and welcoming. I would recommend Pitta Souvli to anyone who wants to support a family run business with home made food.
