This place has been around for quite some time and is one of a few Mediterranean spots near my work. I typically get chicken souvlaki wraps but I ordered a gyro wrap today with a side of fries. Lots of gyro meat with tomato, onion and tzatziki. Feta costs extra which is unfortunate. Pretty good gyro but the meat isn't spiced as well as some other places. The French fries were surprisingly good, larger with an outer crisp and inner softness. Meal cost ~$15. I've had a few other dishes here in the past and it's consistently good. Standard service- place order and pay at counter and then they bring your basket or plate out. While there's a few other Mediterranean places around I enjoy a little more, this place is always a good and quick option as well. read more

The price is pretty high here. $10.50 for chicken tenders and an extra $8.50 for a drink and fries for the kids. $18.50 for chicken tenders, fries, and a drink. I think that's expensive for a kids meal, but I was already here. I got the chicken and humus protein plate plus a drink for a grand total of $58 for two kids and myself. Never again. read more

The food alone would've gotten them 5 full stars. I used to live in a neighborhood largely populated by Persians and Armenians where this kind of cuisine is common. I found no fault in any of the items I had and it largely mirrored some of my favorite places...except for the pita which was store bought. What lost them a star was a couple of issues. Their customer engagement was terrible. The server had an ongoing argument with somebody on the phone and snapped at the cook several times. They weren't speaking English so I couldn't tell what they were saying, but she basically dropped the plates on our table and went back to her FaceTime argument. This was done on the restaurant floor for all to see, instead of taking it to the back room. The other issue was the price was a little high for two people ($44.00) but it's up to the individual to determine if this is a good value for them. On a whim I decided last week I wanted some of my fav cuisine... Greek/Mediterranean for lunch. I had been here before, years ago and I remembered it was pretty good. I ordered the chicken shawarma combo with included fries and a drink for $13.25. I upgraded to Greek fries which means my fries now have feta and Greek dressing on them. Didn't expect it but that took my meal to $17.06! I did expect an up charge but that's excessive. The Greek fries were delicious I will say that but the the pita was just okay. The chicken has a heavy turmeric flavor. It's not bad but different. Overall for the cost it's a no. For the same cost I could've gotten a Greek steak meal with rice, hummus, garlic sauce, side Greek salad and pita. Lesson learned. read more

I went in and there were not hardly any people there but that's no big deal but I ordered a chicken Shawarma and that's what I always get at Peter jungle and so their chicken. Shawarma was very dry no sauce no onions, no tomatoes no nothing they didn't ask me if I wanted anything with it. I couldn't see over the counter to see what they were doing. They were very distant with their attitude like they didn't care and I tried to call to talk to the manager and I got a fax machine from their main phone number and I will never go there again, but Peter jungle is excellent. They put tzatziki sauce or there's another sauce and they always come with onion and tomato. It's not dry and they're so friendly at pita jungle, but not at Peter heaven. read more

3.5/5 I didn't quite experience pita nirvana when I was here, but perhaps it was what I ordered. I'm not sure what compelled me to order a Mexican style meat at a Mediterranean restaurant but it sounded good at the time! It had been forever since I had an al pastor dish so I had the al pastor plate with fries to go. When I got home and opened up my to go box I was impressed with the amount of meat they gave me. Unfortunately, there wasn't enough pita to go with the meat and had I known it would be totally covered in cilantro I would have requested for them to leave it off my dish. The meat itself well seasoned but a little dry tasting for pork belly. The menu description said the plate would also come with tomato which was forgotten in my order. I think that additional texture and flavor difference would have helped with the meal. The fries that came with the order were a plentiful amount and tasted decent. I wasn't too enthused by the al pastor but I'll be back to try a Mediterranean dish to see if I like their other items better. read more

We were in the mood for chicken schwarma and found this place not too far from where we were. We walked on in and they weren't too busy. The cashier quickly came out from the back and took our orders. We ordered one chicken schwarma (no meal) and one with a meal. The meal came with fries and a drink. We sat down and waited. The cashier ended up bringing our food out to us and we dug in. The fries were hot and crispy and were really gooood. The chicken schwarma had really good flavor and it was loaded with the white sauce on top. I personally would've preferred not too much of the white sauce on top though. They didn't have any siracha out which I really would've liked. I'm so used to other pita places offering it.... Overall the food had good flavor! read more

This is my second time coming to Pita Heaven. The first time I ordered take out. When I got home I was pleasantly surprised! Nice portions and very flavorful. I had to come again and dine inside. I also had to bring my husband and he was surprised at this hidden gem! Very authentic and fresh! We love Greek cuisine and so happy to find this place. Pita Heaven has the feel of a transplanted Gyro place directly from Chicago. Yes, they have genuine Kronos (photo) lamb, http://kronosfoodscorp.com/mediterranean/products-and-brands/food-service-products/meats/authentic-gyrokones/ which they cut directly from a revolving spit; also Italian Beef sandwiches, Salads, Shawarmas and tasty desserts like Baklava. It has that Chicago Greek Village feel to it. The only thing missing, is maybe the late John Belushi doing his SNL skit, with Dan Ackroyd behind the counter. LOL Our office loves coming here. The Shawarmas, Gyros and feta cheese Greek Fries which are all delicious. Expect to pay $10-ish for a combo meal. read more

The food was delicious, very generous portions and the staff (perhaps the owners) were very friendly and offered some great suggestions. The texture and flavor of the rice was amazing, as was their char broiled chicken breast. Their pita bread was also on-point...it was warm and very soft / fresh. The restaurant felt clean and tidy. I was craving a gyro and I looked for a place that was relatively close to my work. I saw this place and decided to give it a try. There's a Mediterranean place down the street, but their quality has changed for the worse. I drove to Pita Heaven and ordered the gyro and fries deal to go. The woman behind the counter was very friendly and efficient. It didn't take long before she brought my bagged order to me. I drove back to work, sat at my desk and unpacked the bag. Wow! The gyro was packed with a heaping portion of meat and it smelled amazing. (My co-worker even commented on it.) The flavor of the spiced meat was delicious. The aroma compelled my co-worker to go to the same place for his lunch. The tzatziki sauce was excellent and I wished that I would have asked for extra. I'm picky about french fries, so I felt that the fries were... meh. That aside, I will not hesitate to go back again for more of their food.
