I have been a patient for over 30 years at this practice... I became a patient of Dr Barnes when…read moreshe purchased the practice the first part of 2018. She has little to no charisma and a handshake that I imagine feels like putting your hand in a tightened clamp, however, none of that matters if she is a skilled and sensitive practitioner... Dr Barnes is neither. My first visit with her was an interesting experience to say the least. I left there soaking wet... literally, I had a wet bra that could be wrung out and I was wearing a dental bib. Her assistant had to get a towel to keep drying my face... she said her equipment was not working properly but she made no attempt to rectify the situation or offer me another room or to finish the procedure. The worst however was her lack of willingness and empathy to deal with a documented disability. The previous dentists of the practice... Dr Rod and Dr Pyser were wonderful and I certainly miss them terribly... in over 30 years I never had one bad experience or with the other specialist they referred me to. They always accomadated the few special needs I had. Dr Barnes has one way of doing things... her way. I am no longer a patient of Berkshire Dental Arts because while sitting in her chair, bib on, and a numb lip... she said she could not continue to treat me... she did not call me into her office, she did not ask my thoughts or opinion... she just walked out leaving me in a chair and did not finish the 5the appointment of 5. I would not recommend her to anyone... she is the most unprofessional dentist I have ever had and I'm 63 years old.

It is friendly, everyone is always improving their knowledge, and there is a wealth of holistic information available from the doctor and the staff. When I left today, I said to Kelly the receptionist, I am one of very few people who can say that when I go to the dentist I have a good time. But I always do Carver family Dentistry. Before we bought in the area, we were visiting our daughter when a cap that was installed by one of the witch doctors came out on the plane. Dr Carver is my daughter's dentist & she called explaining my emergency to the doctor. She had me come in right away & she made the repair (the right way, I haven't had a problem with it since). I was impressed by her chairside manner & how quickly she made the repair. We moved into the area shortly after that (from fla, yeah I know but we moved to be near our grandkids after retiring). Dr Carver has been my dentist since we moved up & I can't say enough about her manner & how professional her staff is. I haven't always taken the best care of my teeth (shame on me) & my fear of dentists (wouldn't go unless I absolutely had to) left my mouth in poor health. She has never been judgmental & my mouth is the best it's been since my early teens.

The…read morestaff here makes scheduling the appointment easy and the procedures and financing understandable and with affordable options. I wish every office I went into had this kind of attitude. Dr. Perry is one of the most compassionate doctors in this field. She will explain everything to you and walk you through every step. I can't promise if you don't like needles that you will love this office. It's an unfortunate circumstance of the procedure. The staff is all very balanced and coordinated. I caught myself saying wow several times when the doctor and her assistant Sarah were going constantly back-and-forth with the different tools needed and very little discussion was necessary. In the end, it didn't look so good for my tooth, and she gave me some very real options to discuss with my dentist after she sends some great 3-D imaging to him with a detailed letter. She explained that we could do the procedure and it might last a year, or I might choose to have an extraction. She values her work, and she would expect that any work she does would last him a long time if it is to be done properly. My last procedure done in 2001 has given me no problems at all. I always have the option of going back and finishing my procedure if I choose, and I would not have to pay the full fee. This is an example of an A+ office.

After visiting my dentist, I learned that Dr. Perry had seen a fracture in my tooth before performing the root canal. This information was never shared with me. Had I known, I may have chosen a different treatment. Now, after paying for a very expensive root canal, I am going to have to pay for a crown. I would not recommend Dr. Perry to anyone.

He also told me I needed a new retainer for some reason he did not explain. I was concerned with how quickly he jumped to tooth removal and how fast they had me at a sales desk trying to book everything. The process felt rushed and almost like I was on a conveyer belt to the payment department before I walked in. I made two second opinion appointments with local dentists the following week, and both told me getting my tooth removed was absurd. Each also told me it was ridiculous the dentist at Aspen hadn't cleaned the area around the infected tooth which is step one in any treatment plan. I also went to an orthodontist regarding my retainer, which Aspen said needed replacement despite not even having it at my appointment. They said my retainer was perfectly fine and there were no issues with it whatsoever. I'm now under the care of another dentist who says tooth removal is a last resort and does not believe I'm every going to get there. My advice is to: 1. Make sure you do have a local dentist so you do not need the services of Aspen. 2. If you do go to Aspen in an emergency and they suggest something serious, get a second opinion.

In the lead up to the appointment, I spoke several times to the most excellent administrators who walked me through the process and pricing, and gave me a great option to cover the cost (Sychrony's Care Credit), should I need it. The office staff are all very knowledgable, well-mannered and friendly on the phone. Dr. Milne did take his own X-rays, and I can see why: they were several times clearer than those my dentist had taken. His novocaine injections are the softest in the business, and I'm a baby when it comes to needles. The procedure was painless, and after it was done, we looked at the x-rays together so that I could see what he had done. It was also nice to have a thumbs up on the state of rest of my mouth. He comped me some extra-strength ibuproferin, and sent me on my way. Super pleasant man with good chairside manner, never brusque. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Dr. Milne and his staff to my family and friends. Perfect experience for what - for most of us - is an otherwise grim prognosis.

They first treated me fir a dental emergency even though I was not their patient. When Thomas Cleary began accepting new patients we immediately applied. They are about the least condescending medical providers I've ever known, and in all ways are professional, courteous and accommodating. Let's just take this as an example. Like most other medical providers, you have to fill out some paperwork when you first arrive. Fair enough. The *very first line* was "How do you want to be called?" Now I despise strangers calling me by my first name; it is rude and utterly non-professional. So I put down "Mr. T_______." And sure enough, they call me that, each and every one, without fail, without bobbling, every time. They ask questions. They sit down with you to plan out what work needs doing, what's affordable, and they LISTEN. If you're anywhere within striking range of Cleary, and you need dental work, give them your business.
