I had a tooth infection and Aspen got me in same day, which is the only good thing about this place. The dentist immediately told me I needed my tooth removed and an implant put in. He also told me I needed a new retainer for some reason he did not explain. I was concerned with how quickly he jumped to tooth removal and how fast they had me at a sales desk trying to book everything.The process felt rushed and almost like I was on a conveyer belt to the payment department before I walked in. I made two second opinion appointments with local dentists the following week, and both told me getting my tooth removed was absurd. Each also told me it was ridiculous the dentist at Aspen hadn't cleaned the area around the infected tooth which is step one in any treatment plan. I also went to an orthodontist regarding my retainer, which Aspen said needed replacement despite not even having it at my appointment. They said my retainer was perfectly fine and there were no issues with it whatsoever. I'm now under the care of another dentist who says tooth removal is a last resort and does not believe I'm every going to get there. My advice is to: 1. Make sure you do have a local dentist so you do not need the services of Aspen. 2. If you do go to Aspen in an emergency and they suggest something serious, get a second opinion. read more

Aspen dental is a chain they are always short staffed. For 5 years now they always cancel my senior brother's dental cleaning to reschedule. This time had a cleaning fur 4/16 they rescheduled to 4/21/25 then on that day rescheduled they fit in someone else in my brother's place and now scheduled his for Oct 1st! During covid they had no toilet paper in bathroom. Upon leaving they do an exit interview about 30-40 minutes to tell you what you need to drum up more business.Find a single dentist!!Aspen doesn't deserve 1star. when I said I think they are targeting my brother, alexia hung up on me. read more

The type of care from the doctor was horrible. He couldn't take the time to discuss why I was coming into the office. All he saw was $15K procedure that I needed and couldn't care that I was looking for a temporary solution so I could save up for the full procedure. The office staff was wonderful and listened to me, its too bad they are working for this horrible doctor. I would stay away from this place, it is a waiste of time unless you want to be treated horribly. read more

Wow. When my local dental clinic closed without a word to former patients and I needed immediate help, Aspen could see me right away. In a mall, it's a little like going to Walmart for dental work, but the trade-off is worth it. I had a not-good experience having a tooth pulled, hard to get out, the dentist had to bring in a more experienced dentist to finish it off. But since then, they've been great. I've gotten a crown from Dr. Kakkar--it was perfect, and the price right. Also the business manager, Sarah, is great to work with, was able to put me on a payment plan. I need a lot more work done, and will go back. read more

I had over 2000$ of work done I received a bill saying I owed 265.00 I made payments they send me my last bill sayinging I owed them 60 dollars at that point I owed 40 I sent my payment of 40 with proof of all my payments totalling 265.00 check paid in full they send 20.00 to a collection agency read more

I was reluctant to go to Aspen Dental because of some less than stellar reviews. But I was in a great deal of pain and Aspen Dental was able to see me the same day. Upon entering, I found the receptionist to be very organized. I didn't have to wait long for Shanon, the dental assistant, to bring me in for x-rays. As it turned out, Shanon took care of everything except the actual surgery. Sadly, Shanon said today is her last day. Definitely a loss for the Pittsfield Aspen Dental. The dentist, don't recall his name, described every step of the process for the surgery. Of course I am writing this review just hours after the surgery but I suspect recovery will be exactly as he described. Overall, I found the Pittsfield Aspen Dental very organized and would definitely consider them again in the future. read more

not very professional I had work done and they charge me a lot of money. In the beginning the crown fell off I had to put back on. They charge me for that. I went back I teeth my gum was infected by the tooth with an abscess and then they charge me for that they took no responsibility for any of the work they did, not happy at all. Absolute jerk: Bree. As I had previously interacted with Dominique who is so kind and professional, returning a phone call from Bree was a rude awakening. She hung up on me several times, stating she could barely hear me instead of allowing me to improve the reception. I called back requesting to speak to the office manager explaining that as a first-time patient to their office (and generally overall nervous regarding all things dental), it was very frustrating to encounter Bree's abruptness. Her response was, "I don't think we should see you." Aspen Dental - the office staff at Pittsfield, MA needs staff like Dominique, NOT Bree, and the "office manager." read more

Aftet going to dee their oral surgeon for an emergency, i had to wait 2 weeks to be seen after sitting through a pointless entire care plan and then, had this "dentist" remove the tooth that was bothering me, only to leave a part of said tooth in my jaw causing me to need to see another doctor later to fix the issue he did not completely fix and attempted to charge me thousands of dollars for care I did not want. I will never go there again and advise no one else to either. Stay local. Go to a caring doctor with patient care concern first and money second. read more

This place is a JOKE. I broke a premolar back in June of this year, and made an appointment for Aspin Dental to look at it and remove the tooth. My very first visit the doctor opened my mouth, looked at my tooth confirmed it was broken, then directed me to the front desk to make another appointment to get the tooth extracted by THEIR oral surgeon to have it removed under anesthesia as I do not do well with medical things, which required me to be put on a wait-list. As the months passed and I was still not contacted by the end of August I had called again to forgo the need of anesthetic and try to get through surgery awake to which I finally got an appointment for the middle of September. However, despite preventive measures I took to avoid having a panic attack I still had one and was met with nothing but judgement and rude remarks telling me to "get over it, it's not that big of a deal", naturally making me all the more uncomfortable being there, so I cancelled, forcing me to once again be put on the wait-list. Now here it is December, I had called last month asking for an update had to leave a message and never heard anything back, today I had half of the broken tooth fall out of my mouth MID CONVERSATION so I had called to ask about my position on the wait-list to which I was told "Oh our surgeon won't do surgery with anesthetic for only one tooth" which would have been wonderful information to have six months ago so I could have asked to be referred anywhere else. Now they have created a back dated referral saying that they had referred me at my original visit, which I have checked with Oral and Dental surgery and no referral was ever sent to them. Breeana Rodriguez, Sarah and Dominique are the rudest three women I have spoken too and I worked retail for 10 years, they should not be in charge of anyone's well-being, let alone customer service. Rude condescending staff. They do not plan on doing any follow up on their own work. they will treat you poorly for trying to have work they've done corrected... I have to see another dentist to repair work they have done! Their desk staff for scheduling and payment are rude and only care about acting like they're helpful!!!! you have options please use them. I had the last of my teeth removed and I am desperate to be fitted for full dentures. Watched the TV advertisements, booked an appt. and certainly never expected to be conned. After a lengthy consult appt - mainly just sitting in the chair waiting - I was led to the unsmiling young woman at the front desk who was to give me prices. She had unpleasant, unfriendly demeanor. No discussion, just passed me an invoice for the most expensive dentures "offered", $3,800+. I explained (for at least the 4th time) I'm retired on Social Security and am only interested in their lowest cost dentures. Her face froze & she informed me they do not offer them. Then why did the dentist go over them with me? When I inquired about the TV ads that offer the "lowest cost dentures" I was told in no uncertain terms 'each office is independently owned and offer different prices/deals'. The Pittsfield office is scamming the public - especially senior citizens - and should be investigated. BEWARE! read more

Felt like I was a clip in a clip joint. This was my experience in Florida, so I cannot say this is company policy, but it did not feel very neighborly nor interested in me as a patient, more as a customer. I had to scramble to get away from the "closer", really a salesman. Not fun. read more

It doesn't seem to matter what time of day, what day of the week...this place is always running WAY late. I had the very first appointment of the day earlier this week and was called into the room 15 minutes after my scheduled time. After getting set up and a having a brief chat with the hygienist about any changes to my routine, another technician came in asking for her assistance and she left for ANOTHER 18 minutes. It was almost 40 minutes passed my scheduled time when my cleaning finally began. Sadly, this isn't the first time I've experienced them neglecting a patient in this way, it's just the most recent example. They have zero regard for their patients' time, schedules, or other plans. Very frustrating and very over priced when all is said and done. read more

I've been having excruciating tooth pain and asked my insurance to find a dentist office in my area that accepts my insurance. They called me back with aspen dental on the line and verbally verified my insurance information and an appointment date the next week. The next day I received a text message to verify my appointment. I verified it and got a reply saying I'm all set. The following day I received another text message saying I needed to call the office to verify AGAIN. No problem. I called the number and had to listen to 2 minutes of an automated directory with no option to confirm the appointment. 5 minutes later I get a receptionist and I verify AGAIN with her. When I say how inconvenient it is to have to verify 3 times and have to go through an automated system with long wait times she takes offense and threatens to cancel my appointment. I finally arrive at my appointment, get checked in. The same office person says to me I can get a checkup but we aren't able to take your insurance. When I ask how is it possible that my insurance and aspen dental could first confirm that my insurance was accepted and then at the appointment tell me it's not accepted she says "well, they must have called the main aspen office to make the appointment". No apology. My experience dealing with aspen dental was just awful. They are disorganized and don't hire staff able to deal with customers responding to their disorganization. Free x-ray and checkup on my first visit, definite plus. Very friendly staff, they care, they listen, I didn't feel like I was being "processed" at all. Impressive facility, very clean and tidy, equipment was all clean and well kept, nice touches like shades so the light isn't so intense, and music at a decent volume for relaxation, friendly receptionists, and they offer manageable payment plans, though it did seem just a little expensive. One lady was a little quick and rough with her work, and just seemed generally bitter, but in no way did she represent the general attitude of the place which was evident in everyone else. I'm no dentist so I can't speak to the quality of her work, but she certainly rushed through all of her explanations. Might've just been a rough day / week for her, I don't know. Overall, I was very impressed, and certainly plan to return to have more work done. If either the prices were a little lower, or I had not felt a little "handled" by that one lady I would've given it 5 stars. I'd certainly recommend it tho. read more

Was told my appointment was going to be free, and then on my way out they told me it was going to be over 200$. They are con artists. One women shoved the x Ray tool in my mouth so hard I had to spit it on the floor and my mouth was literally bleeding. Awful. read more

Rude poor quality of service and they do not care for your opinion of it. they have HAD some great reviews (and some not ) because they have had an amazing dentist for a while (which I loved ) that is now leaving (no wonder why?)... they aren't letting anyone know including myself that they're getting a new dentist and their appointments have changed! they've rehired and aren't looking for the same quality. If you're unlucky enough to have Y.Lee DDS working on you please run! He's better suited to be working at an auto body shop for how delicately he will handle tools and your teeth! But if his roughness is something you might like his rude demeanor and condescending attitude might seal the deal !!!???? When you receive rough poor service with a bad attitude and then get additional bad attitude from slimy faux-helpful Kayla and Justine at the desk you'll just be thrilled with your decision to throw money away at this business. I went to Aspen Dental for 2 years and they made nothing easy or clear. Continually giving extra bills after being told things were covered. A rotating group of dentists so I never knew who was going to be treating me. In two years, I have been seen by 4 different dentists and only 2 of them would I consider seeing again. The only saving grace are the hygensits and office staff who are lovely. I had a filling done by them that had to be redone because it was done poorly. . They sent me to get a root canal and didn't tell me that they did not check to see if that endodontist was in my network. They were not and I was not aware until after the bill which was well over $1,500 and tapped out my insurance. Then they sent me a bill for a crown after already paying what they told me would be my share; stating that I had to pay almost another $1,000. They lack the personal care and interest in their patients that I'm used to from any of my doctors. They claim that the amount they quote is the amount you will owe and they will work hard to make that happen (which is actually on their phone wait music); sadly this is very far from true. read more

Like many people I am scared of going to the dentist. Nothing gets me more anxious than the sound of the drill. I have been to nunerous dentists in the past and hadn't felt comfortable at any of them. Aspen Dental has changed that (for the most part). The rooms have their own t.v. which is nice, it helps drown out the drill noises and provides a distraction. The chairs are comfy and don't have any rips in them like Hillcrest. I found all of the staff, especially the assistants, to be very comforting. They know just what to do to calm me down when i'm nervous and how to make me laugh and show off my new smile. They'll let you hold their hand if you need to and explain everything very thoroughly. I felt like my problems actually mattered instead of feeling like I was just another walking wallet like I did at my last dentist. Everyone there is very knowledgeable and if they cannot answer one of your questions they will find someone in the office who can. The only issue I had - and this is huge in my book abd preventing me from giving this place 5 stars- is how the doctor treats her assistants. I swear everytime I have gone here, she gets very snippy and rude and ridicules the assistant who is working with her. She has done this with multiple staff. She comes off as very sweet and calm to me (and if I overhear her in a room across the hall she sounds nice to that patient also) but she makes it seem like whoever she is working with can't do anything right. And you can see in the staff's eyes that what the doctor says is bothering them but they'll insist nothing is wrong and brush it off. On a few occassions I have seen the doctor also roll her eyes or do a frustrated sigh if the assistant has to go grab something for her that isn't in the room, even if the assistant is only gone for two seconds. I honestly feel bad for the people who work there if they have to deal with being put down and getting an attitude from her everyday. I go in feeling calm until I hear the doctor's rude remarks at the girls. I'm sure i'm not the only patient who has noticed this going on. The doctor explains everything and gives options as to what she can do for your teeth, and will show you on the xrays exactly what she's talking about. She is very gentle with the needle and checks to make sure you're numb before doing anything (which I appreciate because my last dentist would start drilling literally right after the needle). As a dentist she is very good, I just wish she would be nicer and more patient with her staff. They try really hard and it shows. It's not comfortable at all when you see someone getting bullied like that. The fact that they brush it off and smile everytime shows their level of patience. Next time I am there and she starts being mean to them I am going to talk to the manager about it (hopefully the manager isn't being bullied by her too!) read more

This is a predatory operation and it goes far beyond a one-star Yelp review. When my mother made an appointment for my father to have the "Free Consultation and X-Rays" she specifically let the office personnel know that their insurance did not cover a cleaning until a few weeks later. She was assured that the visit would be free and would only include the consultation and x-rays, at the end a cleaning could be scheduled for a date that would be covered by insurance. By the time my father (who suffers from dementia) had finished this "initial consultation," they had done a deep clean on one quadrant of his mouth and had extracted a tooth. He was told he would need to come back for 3 more deep cleans and another tooth extraction--none of this covered by insurance--and had a bill for close to $1000. This office took advantage of my father's dementia, selling him unnecessary procedures and having him sign a contract and financing agreement (with a 27% interest rate). Aspen Dental was specifically told that no work could be done that day because of the insurance gap and yet they preyed upon my 70-year-old, retired parents on a fixed income. We have also filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and with the Attorney General under both the Consumer Protection Act and Elder Abuse Protection. read more

Take your business elsewhere. The office staff is nice enough but understand this is a branch of a large corporate operation (that has had tons of complaints and has been investigated by multiple attorneys general for deceptive trade practices--google them). My frustration has been an inability to get my daughter's x-rays so that another dentist can follow up. Most dentists send along x-rays electronically and immediately, but not these folks. It's been nearly 4 weeks and all the staff can tell me is that "corporate" is processing my request and that I should receive them at some point. read more
