I was referred to (Athletico Physical Therapy) Pivot Therapy by my physician for PT to possibly help with the pain I was experiencing. Instead of calling to set up an appointment, I decided to stop by to see if I could get one. To my surprise, AJ and Kelly were my first point of contact. They were able to get me in the same afternoon. Wow. This shows just how much they care about each person that walks through their doors. My experience with everyone on my return visits has been phenomenal. They greeted me by name before I could register at the front desk. I started off with Allison, who developed a plan to assist me with my healing process. Amanda outlined her plan to help improve my health even more. Everyone who assisted me from Collin, Jenn, Kyeren, Kynora, and Lakyn were absolutely wonderful. I would highly recommend this facility to anyone in need of physical therapy. Very helpful staff. I've used pivot for torn rotator cuff rehab and for an issue with my leg. So I think I've worked with all their therapists, i think my favorite is Lara, but they're all helpful and knowledgeable. read more

Friendly folks, but if you want improvements to your injuries or surgery steer clear. For context, after seeing the documented work over time and the "freezing" of the joint...this place was taken off surgeon's list for rehab. Cost me a lot of money, and more importantly recovery time. They never owned up to any responsibility.... read more

I've been going to Laura for 15 ever since I had my hip replaced. Originally I was a patient through Professional Sports Care and Rehab started by original founder Greg. I've never gone anywhere else after my first time dealing with Laura and Greg. I've been to Pivot again after my MS diagnosis in 2008 when they were still Professional Sports Care and Rehab. I am currently a patient again due to shoulder replacement. Laura and her staff are kind, courteous and professional. I can't say enough great things about them. Ouch, my aching back...is getting better since I have been going to Pivot. This is my second series of visits to this PT clinic. I had really good luck the first time and I have been to other clinics without much success. The PTs here listen to the customer and work with you. The clinic is clean, the front desk staff is professional, and the PT staff is friendly and helpful. Starting with the front desk being short with me. The worst was being able to even get a appointment. I had total knee replacement and they had no openings for PT for a week or more after my surgery. All things turned out for the best and I found a place where I'm so happy! read more

Pivot therapy's pre and post surgical protocols prepared my daughter for her ACL Surgery. They are flexible and reliable. The staff specifically Amanda and Lara were an awesome duo helping my daughter get back to full contact play within 8 months of surgery. They are family! If you select this facility for physical therapy make sure you stay in control of your therapy. It is the PT's duty to discuss all options of treatments/techniques prior to performing them. You must understand each treatment/technique fully before they are performed. The PT cannot take it upon him/herself to perform any treatment(s) without your permission. The PT who I was assigned to (Laura Grayson) performed (5/2014) an aggressive manipulation on my sacrum-- without discussing it with me first. This was completely wrong on her part! As the patient, I should have been informed before performing any such treatment(s) (ALL PATIENTS HAVE THE RIGHT TO INFORMED CONSENT IN TREATMENT DECISIONS). My complaint is based on the fact--I was not involved in the decision making process. I would have NEVER agreed to such treatment considering, I did not have ANY issues with my sacrum. Now--I suffer with severe pain which affects my "quality of life". Her actions have not only affected my life, BUT the lives of my family. Update: 2017, I am still dealing with sacrum/ gluteal pain. I've been doing dry needling to help with the pain. This is a business and the PTs take on other patients, you will be performing your exercises/stretches at home make sure you are performing them correctly before you leave. If you are not sure of the correct form reach out to the techs or your PT. If an exercise is causing pain "STOP" the exercise and consult with the PT or your doctor. If the PT cannot explain why you are having pain performing an exercise--STOP the exercise until you can visit with your doctor. Some of the exercises I was performing has left me with deep gluteal pain; sitting can be very painful. Keep a diary of your visits and your progress. Be smart about your body and keep it safe. If you feel you are waiting longer than a reasonable time for your therapist, make it clear to him/her, your time is valuable. The time you spend there should be of value to you, not to your PT. If you do not feel comfortable with your therapist--ask to see someone else, it's your right--or go somewhere else. You need to report your care to your doctor and too your healthcare provider(s). Ask not to be placed in the back rooms (if possible), no one can see you, especially if the curtains are not opened. There were many times when I would sit waiting for someone to take off my stim pads. At times, I had to take off the pads myself and remove the heat pads from the table. That is not the responsibility of a client! This is just poor management of staff by the clinic's director. Although, my situation is an unfair one, AND could have resulted in a legal matter; my post is not to discredit Mrs. Grayson, but only to create personal health and safety awareness. My comments are only suggestions to help anyone who is looking to attend this location. Be smart and be safe! Great staff and wonderful program. However, corporate policies lacking. Even though I had supplemental insurance to cover additional therapy after Medicare coverage ran out, corporate decided having to bill additional insurance was to much trouble and discontinued covered therapy - despite availability of doctors orders. read more

This is the second time around with Laura and her staff. My son had to have rehab after having shoulder surgery for a hockey related injury. He is fully recovered with no limitations. This time it was my turn for a shoulder that got nicked and limited my range of motion. In in relatively sort amount of time Laura and her team have restored my shoulder to full range of motion. Laure has PHD in physical therapy and knows her stuff. She and her staff are great at working with patients of all age ranges. It is not uncommon to see a young athlete working hard to get back into game shape alongside an elderly patient who has had surgery and is trying to regain range of motion. Therapy is individually designed to bring you back to your full potential. Their laid back atmosphere belies the serious attention they are giving to your improvement and expectation of a full recovery. While they may be working on several patients at once a watchful eye is kept on each and every one to make sure the exercises are done correctly - sorry no cheating at this clinic. They keep you moving from one exercise to the next so there is no wasted time. These folks are so professional and friendly it almost feels bad to have to stop coming once you are fully recovered. read more

i recently had a shoulder surgery (torn rotator and bone spurs) and decided to choose Pivot PT for my recovery and very glad i did. the staff is friendly, energetic but most importantly my therapist really knew how to help me recover. Kristin was very knowledgable and took her time explaining the exercises to me as well as what to expect in my recovery. this is my second shoulder surgery , different side this time, but the PT and recovery went smoothly and I'm very satisfied with the care i recieved . i have already referred 2 people there and i would highly recommend Pivot and Ms. Kristin Lumm read more
