So many of the typical interactions that we had taken for granted and which we thought would come with pregnancy and childbirth were off the table. The presence of family and friends whom we expected to be with us during the process was out of the question due to safety concerns for us and them. One of the things that remained important to us was to document the occasion with a newborn shoot. My wife and I couldn't be happier with our Peanut Love experience. We have been extremely conscientious about safety during quarantine, so inviting a stranger into our home was not taken lightly. Irma came masked, equipped with an array of props and wardrobe. Her first order of business after unloading and setting up was washing her hands. She continued to use hand sanitizer after every wardrobe and set up change. We appreciated her fastidiousness and felt incredibly comfortable in her hands. Irma is a great listener and communicator, which was evident in all our interactions. She was extraordinarily accommodating during the photo selection and editing process (my wife is very particular) as well as working out our final selections. Truth be told I almost backed out because I was not confident in myself. From start to finish, the makeup, hair, photoshoot and photo selection, I felt at peace and to be honest the most beautiful I ever felt. The main rule was not being able to talk down on yourself, which is hard when your body goes through changes like mine has since being pregnant. I came across Kree's Yelp page because of how close she was, but what really stood out was her website--the caliber and vibrancy of her photos were incredible. I knew right away she'd be a perfect fit for capturing my niece, both in her cap and gown and in her super colorful prom dress (which I was confident Kree could do justice!). From the moment I reached out, Kree was super responsive and easy to communicate with. The contract was simple and straightforward, pricing was fair and the breakdown of her packages were awesome. and she helped us agree on a time and location that worked perfectly, not far from our house either, which was a huge plus. We had multiple calls in the months leading up to the wedding to align on what we wanted, discussed the overall wedding timeline, and provided the list of shots we wanted. Their website also has example timelines for photography, which were very helpful as we planned our day and allowed us to not compress everything too much. They are organized, funny, kind, and encouraging -- they will help pose you as needed, but generally allow for a very genuine capture of the day. I brought four outfits from home, but ended up borrowing from the studio one amazing piece. Along with shoes and jewelry this studio was stocked. Christina the owner and photographer was so talented. I never felt rushed. She did not seem like she was in a hurry. She made sure I was positioned to be the most flattering and would help me adjust things as needed. Once my session was over, she explained to me the process for getting my album. She gave me options for the cover and let me choose the photos I wanted in the album. Along with that came a flash drive with all of my photos taken on the day. Within two weeks my album arrived at my door and it is beautiful.
